Very nice and tangy. Nice with a little sweetener!

Reviewed as part of the communiTEA. The color is gorgeous and the taste isn’t too shabby either. I liked it cold more than hot.

This was definitely sour and appley. This is not for me. I don't enjoy sour or apple, so I don't know why I even tried this. Will not try again.

★★★★☆

This was tart, tasty and pretty. I didn’t add sweetener to mine but I bet it would bee really good with a bit of honey.

I loved this tea. It is more of a tart hibiscus tea than sour apple, but it is still very good and very refreshing

Not the best or the worst apple tea I have tried, it definitely has a bit of a sour taste to it. I prefer my fruit teas to be sweeter. It was as advertised though.

★★★★☆

This tea is so red! It looks like wine in a glass! It’s tasty, though as people have mentioned, I get more hibiscus than apple.

I sure enjoyed this tea. So happy to have discovered it. Definitely going to order this one.

Sour apple, emphasis on the sour! It's got a huge punch from the hibiscus and a gorgeous ruby red coloring in the cup. I didn't sugar this, and it was extremely tart, but it lent well to the whole crisp apple vibe. I found myself wishing that this had fake apple flavor, but I appreciate that it's all natural. 6mins at 212F

I could not detect much in the way of apple taste when hot, the hibiscus definitely overpowers the apple. The apple flavor comes through a bit better as the tea cools though.

I happen to be a fan of hibiscus tea on its own though, so I enjoyed this both hot and warm. And I have a feeling it would really shine when iced. So I will keep that in mind for summer months when I'm more likely to drink iced teas.

Beautiful red color, good hot or cold, and tart. Sour apple, believe it. I love apple teas, perfect for cider season. Naturally caffeine free herbal slightly tangy, juicy treat. A delightfully refreshing cup, I added a little honey. I sampled this Tea as part of the CommuniTEA October box.

Very tart. I don't mind this tea but it is not a tea I would drink often. I drank it without any additives, if you added honey or sugar it would definitely be better.

★★★★☆

This herbal tea is reminiscent of a sour apple and with the addition of honey, a caramel apple. The apple flavor is not strong, but has a slight bitterness softened by the sweetener.

I brewed the tea on the short end of the recommended time, 5 minutes. When I opened the packet it smelled like the Sour Apple Jolly Rancher candy that I remember from when I was young! Upon brewing though I only tasted sour hibiscus, is that even a thing? It was pleasant to drink, just not one of my favorites.

I really enjoyed today's CommuniTea tea. The sour apple taste was just right with a spoonful of Honey.

I did not like this tea. I couldn't
finish my cup.

If you're into apple-flavored things, you'll probably like this, but I've always thought apple-flavored stuff tastes artificial and this tea is, sadly, not an exception

★★★★☆

Tart hibiscus dominates, with a hint of sweetness from rise, then the sour apple finish

★★★★★

Definitely a 5 heart cup of tea 💗💗💗💗💗 I love the hibiscus and rose hips and apples. It’s a fall day in a cup. Lovely and soothing. Thanks for this one.

★★★★☆

The apple flavor is spot on as sour and almost cider like. It was tasty, but I can only do one cup, too much sour for me.

Lots of apple flavor and a gorgeous red color. Would make a great iced tea.

Its very good, pure fruit tea, but tastes more like cranberry to me, than apple

★★★★★

Good herbal tea in general. Great stuff to infuse your water and encourage you to drink more

★★★★★

The taste strongly reminds me of instant spiced cider packets I used to drink when I was little. This herbal tea is deliciously tart and apple-y and a fun pink color in the cup. A perfect tea for autumn!

I enjoyed today's tea! I'm in general a fan of 'red'/hibiscus based teas and this one was good with a bit of sweetener. I primarily taste the hibsicus with a hint of apple.

I liked this much more than I thought I would! Out of the packet it smelled very sour, but with some sweetener it had a nice fruity flavor.

Sampled as part of CommuniTea. This tea reminds of a particular Teavana mix, but I can't remember the name. I first tried Sour Apple without sweetener and I thought “Holy Guacamole that's tart!” Then I added honey and thought: “Oh wow, now I'm getting candy apple vibes” followed by “Holy peanut butter, but that's still really tart!” Definitely not for me - I drink most teas without sugar, so I tend to shy away from very tart teas since I often need sweeteners to tame the pucker and allow the milder flavors to shine through.
But I do feel this is a quality mix as I didn't get any odd or fake flavor aftertastes. So, for those that enjoy tart and fruity teas or just really like the color pink in their cup... well then you might enjoy this.

It’s sour. It’s apple. It’s also very pink. Do you like sour apple? You might enjoy this. I had to add a bit of sweetener.

Seer with sugar, tart without. The apple comes through with a sour twist and the Joshua adds a good amount of sweet.

Admittedly this is my wife’s kind of tea, although I think it’s nice and has a cider like quality to it as well. It’s more candy like than cider, and does not need a lot of sugar (or any, if you’re so inclined) to taste like a very bright cup of fruit.

Crisp Autumn vibes, with true and natural tasting sour apple flavor, tartness enhanced by rose hips and a lot of hibiscus, and a pleasant juiciness (without being too much like juice).  For me, this one was most delicious warm and unsweetened.  The flavor is just strong enough but not too strong.  I could see this being even better in blends than on its own, like Fall blends that aim for a spiced cider vibe.  It's delicious in the 5,000 Candles blend, among others!

Interesting tea, but I like it. Definitely ‘sour’ apple flavor.

★★★★★

A really lovely smelling tea that is quite lovely when served cold!

★★★★☆

Taste kind of like a green apple jolly rancher dissolved into apple juice. It's not bad, but not my top pick for a fruit tea.

★★★☆☆

Not really what I was looking for. Kind of bland

★★★★★

The Sour Apple is my daughter’s favorite tea. It has the perfect sweetness and tartness. I will definitely order more.

★★★★★

I was really worried about the strength of this flavor when I opened the tea package. The sour apple smell is overwhelming. I love apples, and even I thought it was a little much. Once I steeped the tea, the flavor was delicious. It was a very subtle flavor compared to the smell. I thought I wasn't going to like this, but I was wrong. I don't think I'd ever make this as an iced tea, but it is perfect for a cold fall evening.
Update: I keep finding myself coming back to this tea. It has quickly become my favorite herbal tea. Just add a little sugar, and this is a perfect tea.

Need a good amount to get a strong flavour in a cup.

★★★★☆

Apple-y, and tart, but more of a hibiscus-and-rose-hips tartness, not quite like tasting a tart apple. Still delicious!

★★★★☆

Nice crisp tart apple tea. I enjoy it plain, but it can be almost too tart by itself according to my sister who like sit with a bit of sugar or honey to sweeten out the tartness

First, beware when smelling the tea leaves. The feeling I got was like inhaling the smell of vinegar. Other than that, the tea was great. UPDATE (9/24): will buy a regular bag soon. I remember my youngest daughter finishing my sample and dumping sugar into her cup for a cider taste.

This tea is true to the description. I do taste a lot of hibiscus in the forefront, but it has a nice apple flavor at the end. It is fairly tart, but pleasant.

★★★★☆

First and foremost, it has the prettiest color. But more importantly, it has the loveliest medley of flavors.

I steeped this up but forgot about it and it sat for almost 30 mins so it was really sour. My daughter really enjoyed it though.

Smells good, tastes pretty good too! Not bad, but the tea does need sweetener.

Delightfully sour. Tastes like the more refined version of an apple cider.

Less sour than the name suggests, but both tart and apple-y. Is pretty nice.
