Love the smell and the taste, I add Little Rock sugar to my tea. š«āļøā¤ļø (190 @ 10 min.)
Native of Southeast Asia, with delicate Meyer lemon flavor, a hint of sweet ginger and uplifting floral aroma.

Well, it taste like lemongrass :) I like lemongrass added to certain foods or in a blend of teas. All by itself it was ok, not something I would drink regularly but the flavors are crisp and what you would expect!
Bright and refreshing, I love a simple lemongrass tea on a nice day!
One of the great things about the Communitea is that we get to try such a variety of teas. This is an elemental one, as lemongrass is a frequent ingredient in so many blends. I appreciate the chance to enjoy it on its own, unaffected by other teas or flavors. I have always enjoyed lemongrass as an ingredient and todayās tea gives me a chance to see how much this has contributed to the tea blends I enjoy. I steeped at 212 degrees for 7 minutes and added nothing.
I was really excited to try this as I'd never had lemongrass on its own. The smell as it steeped was fantastic - reminded me of a lemon wax melt. Following a few other reviews, i steeped for ten minutes. It's delightful - nice and hot, you get lemon without the pucker. The sweetness isn't overwhelming, but still pleasantly full alongside the lemon. I added a little light agave and it helped the lemon flavour intensify. Perfect for sipping outside on a cooler summer day, and I'm looking forward to ordering more and trying it iced.
Lemongrass is a delicious and versatile ingredient - always great to have on hand. Steeped as a tea, it has a perfectly delicate lemon flavor with a honeyed sweetness.
What isnt to love about lemongrass? It is flipping delightful and it reminds me of fruit loops.
This has a really nice light lemon flavor that works really well as an iced tea. I like it when it's added to other things to add a little lemon but I liked it a lot on its own too!
Full bodied aroma and a delightful light tea! Would also taste delicious iced!
A light, straw like scent greeted me when I opened my CommuniTEA packet. It brewed up to a light, refreshing lemony flavored cup. My personal preference would be to have a stronger flavor, so I would probably use more in the future. It is very enjoyable both hot and iced, and is great for cooking!
Such a simple tea, but sometimes that's just what you need. This tea is so soothing and relaxing with a fresh, clean mouthfeel. Excellent both hot and cold.
The CommuniTEA packet is the first time I've had just plain lemongrass tea, and grass in anything isn't my favorite. So I was wary of this one. But I didn't need to be, because the main flavors are lemon and ginger. The grassy notes make it recognizable as tea, but it's not so much to offend my grass-averse palate. A tiny bit of honey smooths out some of the ginger spiciness and brings more sweetness to the lemon.
This is a lovely citrus tisane. The addition of a little honey makes it an after meal treat.
Light and lovely lemongrass is a delicious herbal sip for the no caffeine crowd. I find the flavor a little too light for my personal palette but I still think it's a good tea in overall taste. If you are a fan of more delicate flavors, you will enjoy this one! I like that Adagio sells these herbals plain so you can add them in to other brews. I'm a big fan of blending so it's nice to have lemongrass in its pure form to use as an addition. Brew this up and order some pad thai and you are in for some Happy Sipping!
Lemongrass is iffy for me. Sometimes it tastes or smells too waxy (like accidentally inhaled furniture polish spray). I tend to like it better in blends-- Samurai Mate, White Chai, Lavender Lemon...
On its own, I appreciate the floral side of its fragrance and the mild lemony taste, but still pick up on the waxiness so can't love it.
I normally donāt reach for this plain but itās quite good on its own. You can also cool it down and pop it into a spray bottle for a refreshing mist on a hot summer day. Steeped 5 mins @ 212° I used too much water and it was a little weak - next time Iāll use less and steep longer for a more robust flavor.
Lemongrass is a great blending tisane , good for adding to cooking, and good alone.
This refreshing tea has a mild lemongrass flavor. Itās great in blends!
Lemongrass is a wonderful boost in blends! I love it paired in spicy blends & with red peppercorns!
Today's CommuniTEA is Lemongrass (7-26-22). Upon opening my packet, I had plenty of Lemongrass tea. I added a little tupelo honey and brewed it hot. It was nice and light. I am very glad I have a bag of this so I can have more of it. I see great potential for using it in blends too. I would highly recommend this tea!
What is that fragrance?
Lemony and grassy, too?
Oh! Lemongrass tea!
I do so love thee
Let me count my cups of tea!
One, two, twenty three!
(Haiku Review)
Lemongrass is a lovely elixir when sipped hot and a refreshing beverage when served chilled. The flavor is bright, clean, lemony goodness that makes a fresh addition to many teas when blending. I decided to take Chasiās suggestion and prepare an iced matcha with my chilled lemongrass. It was delicious! Sip, sip away!
Such a clean, light, lovely tea! I steeped for six minutes and enjoyed it without sweetener as I didn't feel it needed anything at all. It's just a delightfully simple and fresh tea. Might try it iced next time.
Lemongrass is a lovely, aromatic, lemony, soothing cup of tea.
What spilled out of my CommuniTEA packet today looked like a mini straw mat with flattened pieces of lemongrass stalks in light green and beige colors. The tea smelled of a grassy herbal and when I pinched some of it an aroma of lemon was released. The large jumble of tea weighed only 2 grams but filled 3 tsp. I steeped 12 oz. for 10 minutes at 212*F for a nice full flavor The wonderfully scented liquor had a beautiful sunny yellow color.
This is one of the few teas Iāve tried so far that has a much stronger aroma when brewed. The lemon kicks its way out while the grassy smell of the dry tea virtually disappears. The first sip was of a gentle lemony-flavored tea. It could substitute nicely for a hot unsweetened lemonade. I enjoyed it more, though, with a honey add. Itās not sharp-tasting so I wouldnāt call it a palette cleanser. It is more of a relaxing sip and would be a good additive to other teas especially Ceylon or Assam. This is a one-and-done tea, though, as a resteep is very weak. As a cold tea, it's great! Very refreshing and lemony. This is one to enjoy brewed hot or cold.
CommuniTEA: great to try but I will likely be using it in blends.
Hot and or iced, Lemongrass is one of my fave herbals as it taste like sweet summer in a cup! Love this so much! A distinct flavor usually found in blends i enjoy but so its nice to taste by itself too!!
UPDATED from 2/16/21: Hello Lemongrass, my old friend. Lemon aroma drifts up from the CommuniTEA packet and it steeps into a light, lemony yellow. This has a lovely lemon color and flavor. It is also great to blend in with other teas. Adding ¼ teaspoon of sweetener (to 10 oz) really helps the lemon flavor fill my mouth more. Tastes great as it cools, so would be good iced, too. Fun to steep with other teas to brighten their flavor. (10 mins @ 212ºF + sweetener).
A light, mild lemon tasting tea. It's good hot or iced.
Lemongrass is such a relaxing calming tea. It always puts me in a good mood.
Light and refreshing tea, with a wonderful lemon flavor that is mild, without being too tart or too sweet. Great for any time of day, and would be a nice addition to so many other teas. Very nice!
One of my favorite herbals, and Adagio rarely disappoints. I use it to spice up quick-ramen, standalone tea usually at night, and I tend to enjoy adding it to green teas. I really need to try it cold steeped, see if that could be a new thing I like!
Pure lemongrass! I use this in a blend with Adagio's White Grapefruit & Wild Strawberry teas to make a Teavana Strawberry Grapefruit Xue Long replacement.
I add lemongrass to both white and green teas while brewing as it provides just a hint of a lemony flavor.
This is a nice tea to relax with. Very simple with a nice citrus zest to it. I love this one for those nights of winding down.
I (personally) did not care for this. I thought it would be more like LEMON, but it was more like GRASS. I don't recommend it at all.
My favorite flavor. I love everything about this tea.
Love this lemon grass. I've been wanting to try it for a while. A perfect little hint of citrus.
classic lemongrass, i use it a lot for my own blends.
Very subtle yet tasty, a good wake up or early afternoon tea
Love love love! Wonderful lemongrass flavor, also good to blend
Fantastic! We buy the biggest bag because it has become a staple evening tea!
Love this tea! It is a lovely light taste of lemon grass that dances on yr tongue. not over powering.
Absolutely delicious and flavorful. Love adding to peppermint or ginger teas!
This tea has a light lemony flavor and makes a great refreshing and cooling tea for summer. I enjoy this iced.
I am not, generally, a fan of anything citrus. That said, I love, love, love lemongrass with my green tea. It adds just the right hint of flavor and when paired with the green tea honey Adagio makes it is the PERFECT cup of tea!
I was afraid I wouldnāt like this because I donāt love lemongrass essential oil. But itās nothing like that and I do think it soothes my stomach.
I love lemongrass! It give your tea a whole new experience!
Incredible flavor! Not overpowering and slightly sweet.
Canāt mess this one up. Mix it with spearmint for a caffeine free refreshing warm up.
