At first, I was a little thrown by the aroma of the dry tisane. It smelled, perhaps unsurprisingly, like grass and lemon, but I have come to associate lemongrass with an aroma reminiscent of fruity cereals when I've had it in blends. Once I brewed the tisane, however, I wasn't disappointed. The fruity cereal smell was there. The flavor is lemony, but subtle and not overpowering or artificial tasting. I can see this being a very refreshing tea on its own, but it's also mild enough to play a nice supporting role in blends. (~7 min. @ 212F)

Overall a pleasant light lemon flavor. Smells grassy.

delightful light citronella smell and lemon like flavor. Nice tea on its own but also good in combination with so many different teas, soups and dishes.

I like lemongrass in blends and was pleasantly surprised at how much I like it on its own. It's enjoyable plain and even better with honey. It would be very comforting when a bit under the weather.

Not bad. I was not looking forward to trying this CommuniTEA portion; I think of lemongrass as a scent note for my bath products or perfume rather than something to consume.
The scent was, you guessed it, very strong lemongrass. The flavor wasn't so bad. I think I added a wee bit too much sugar which gave the result of 'Froot Loops'. I would drink it again if given, but I probably would not go out of my way to purchase it.

Big lemon, light ginger. Just what I expected. Nice tea as a change of pace, but nothing I would get on the regular.

A nice cup of sunshine to sip any time of day! My CommuniTEA packet was full of bright green lemongrass leaves. The aroma was strong and refreshing. It steeps to the palest yellow, but there is nothing pale about its flavor! The flavor is bright and citrusy, without the tartness of lemon. No sweetener is needed, but a drop of honey turns the cup into a liquid lemon drop. This tea stands up to multiple infusions. It would be nice for accenting other teas, when you want a bit of lemon flavor. I especially like it paired with vanilla green tea to add a bit of creaminess to the flavor. Would probably be very refreshing iced. (212°F x 5-10 minutes).
Edited 7/22/2023: Tastes great iced. Very refreshing on a hot day.

This was a pleasant lemon tea. I'm usually not a fan, but I really liked this one. Slight lemon flavor. Yum!

Wow, this is incredible. I’ve had blends before that featured lemongrass (such as Lavender Lemon), but this is my first time tasting it on its own. I didn’t expect much from it, but now I think I need to keep a bag in stock at all times.

I love lemongrass! Some of my favorite Adagio selections include it like Lemongrass Ginger, Lavender Lemon, and Cha Cha. It's a very versatile herb that just elevates my mood. It's very calming to the senses and I certainly can't get enough.

I got this in my 'Herbal' sampler from Adagio. Definitely what it says it is: dried lemongrass for an infusion. Pleasant and tastes like lemongrass :)

Communitea Review: This tea had a fresh aroma. There was enough lemon flavor without it being too overpowering or tart. I would enjoy this selection again.

I loved this, very light and friendly for my intermittent fasting. Smells a bit of those fancy towelettes that they used to have at KFC

I am a huge fan of lemongrass, and was looking forward to this tea all month.

From the packet, it was a beautiful collection of cut lemongrass pieces. Straw on the nose, and I think I imagined the sweetness waiting to jump out at me, but the lemony aroma didn't reach m nostrils until once it was steeping.
I let it steep for a full ten minutes, and upon tasting it hot, there was a mild lemony sweet flavour. I added a half teaspoon of honey and the flavours came forward a bit more.

As the tea cooled, the lemongrass flavour that I love so much reached the strength that I prefer.

The next time I try this tea, I will add a bit of ginger to round out the full experience.

This is a nice mild tea. Perfect for sipping when you are under the weather or just relaxing.

enjoy

I realize it's called 'lemon grass' but mine seemed to turn out very grassy tasting when I cold brewed it. Maybe I left it in there too long or maybe lemon grass cold brewed isn't my thing. The flavor was mild and the iced version was refreshing but just not my favorite flavor profile.

Lemongrass makes a nice refreshing cup of lemon tea. No grassy taste and no strong aftertaste.

On the nose (pre-steep): A fainter, softer scent than I expected. It has an herbaceous, slightly sweet, slightly woody quality.

On the nose (post-steep): Now the ginger accent is coming through. This is the scent I associate with lemongrass.

On the tongue (pre-sweetener): Like the pre-steep scent, the taste has an herbaceous, vegetal quality. Ginger is an accent. A hint of natural sugar.

On the tongue (post-sweetener): No change in overall profile, though the added sweetness complements the existing flavors.

Opinion: A tasty treat, much better than I expected. It's pleasantly balanced and not a spice bomb.

Preparation: First steep 5 min, second steep 10 min. Both @ 212 ℉. ½ teaspoon monk fruit sweetener.

I haven't enjoyed lemongrass in any of the teas its been blended with, I'm very doubtful that I'm going to enjoy this. I enjoy lemongrass in thai food, but I prefer fresh lemongrass as opposed to dried shavings. For those reasons, I will give this tea to a friend, I'd rather someone enjoy it than me tossing another helpless cup of tea down the drain. Its getting 3 stars for its culinary uses - but I prefer fresh.

I'm not really a fan of herbals and lemongrass on its own is too weak for me, personally.

I always keep this stocked in my tea cabinet. I dont infuse it on it's own. I use this more to add to other teas for a different flavor. I love adding some of this to Citron green! It's also such a light ingredient, it lasts forever!

This was a very good tea for when I was sick. The health benefits of lemongrass combined with the taste helped me forget I was even sick!
Combining this tea with others from adagio is a fun experience. I used this tea in combination with raspberry, apricot, and blood orange. Can’t go wrong with this classic!

Lovely and strong flavor. I also use it for cooking. It is pretty great to cook it with chicken! Will buy again.

I bought a sample of this to mix into my chamomile loose leaf. Just a pinch or two adds a subtle lemony undertaste. It has calming properties as well, which makes it a nice combo with the chamomile.

★★★★★

Wonderful lemongrass - and a little goes a long way. Pairs beautifully with some lemon balm or lemon verbena in my chamomile.

★★★★★

Lemongrass is one of my favorite tea blend ingredients. It is good by itself and I like it added to mint teas.

★★★☆☆

I only like it blended with a slice of fresh ginger in it. It's a great stomachache soother. I'm not crazy about it on its own.

★★★★★

Lemongrass offers a health boost to any other tea. I find the crisp taste is great when mixed with fruity herbals teas.

I use this as part of an herbal blend for its flavour and health benefits. I tend to steep these a little longer to bring out the lemony taste:)

Fresh and Clean! With all the health benefits of drinking lemongrass tea I would probably still drink it even if the flavor profile wasn't a favorite. Lemongrass tea can relieve anxiety, lower cholesterol, prevent infection, boost oral health and has many more health benefits. I don't have to worry about gagging it down for health reasons though, because it is also delicious!! I enjoy lemongrass tea by itself hot as a calming tea before bedtime, directly poured over ice or added into other teas to create blends. It is packed with a clean citrus flavor that works with so many other teas. Today I tried my CT packet of lemongrass with my morning matcha. Matcha lemongrass tea over ice. I prepared each tea individually and poured all the prepared matcha over ice in my cup. Then I topped it off with part of the lemongrass tea. As I drank it down I added small amounts of the rest of the lemongrass tea until it was gone. At the end it was more like iced lemongrass matcha tea. Every stage was delicious!! Great tea blend and I already keep a large bag in my tea cabinet, but I will order more to keep as a staple as needed.

Lemon... yes...grass...yes. Well, more like lemon and light hay. I do enjoy lemongrass in many blends but only find it to be ok on its own. Definitely as advertised, just not my cup of tea.

CommuniTEA portion: Cold Steeped 20+ hours. I wasn't sure anything was steeped as it is such a light color! It's a nice mild lemon, not tart at all. Refreshing and calming. I can see why this is a great base for other blends.
