The color change was amazing but the flavor of the tea itself was somewhat lacking until mixed with the lemonade. However this tea with a bit of lemonade? Spot on!
This was a fun tea to try! Definitely enjoyed the color change when I added a squirt of lemon. Mostly bought it for the novelty of having blue tea but I definitely liked the taste as well. Adding honey made it perfect.
The mix of lemon grass and blueberry give this tea a sweet but tart taste. The blue color is really cool. A great caffeine free tea for any time of day.

Not only is this a fun color, this tea is nice and fruity. I added a couple of nuggets of rock sugar, but it really doesn't need much sugar at all. Stock up on this if you get the chance!
I knew the blue color would be fun with this tea, but I was pleasantly surprised with how much I liked it. I usually add sweetener to my tea, but did not need it with this tea. Love the lemongrass flavor, but hate that I clearly did not purchase enough to last until the next blue moon!

This is good, but my advice is to NOT use too much tea. I like to make strong tea with a lower leaf to water ratio. It s much better weaker than it is strong! Much sweeter. I experimented with it a lot today, and it tastes lovely with honey and lemon juice.
Sweet, refreshing, and of course very pretty and cool to watch the color change. From past reviews I was afraid that I’d find the flavor too light, but it was flavorful and delicious with lemon. Wish I’d bought more to have as a decaf option ... guess I know for next time!
I was FINALLY able to purchase and try this tea - and I love it! Let me start off by saying I'm not a big herbal tea drinker, and I was a little concerned I wouldn't like it, not only because of that, but I had tried another herbal tea that had butterfly pea flower in it's ingredients (which i didn't like at all) and I noticed it had slightly similar reviews to this one. However, I am a big fan of the exclusive Earl Grey Bella Luna blend, and decided that this blue moon would be the one I'd finally take a chance on the Bella Luna Blue blend - and I'm so glad I did!
I tried it plain and it tasted almost like fruity pebbles. I added two teaspoons of honey and it really bumped that Fruity Pebbles flavor up a notch - so good! I love the deep blue color of the tea, but I added a little bit of lemon to experiment and had the pleasure of watching it change into another beautiful color (so cool!). The lemon did change the flavor a bit, and I think it helped bring out the taste of the lemon grass, but it was still sweet and delicious.
The blueberry, lemon grass, and butterfly pea flower blend so well together - It makes a smooth, sweet and lemony taste. I normally prefer caffinated teas, but this would be a perfect tea to sit back with and enjoy - maybe even while moon gazing. :P I'm so glad I bought the big bundle and I will definitely have to purchase more on the next blue moon.
The blue color is the best part about this tea. It s fun, it s neutral tasting so it can be mixed with plenty of things for a fun cocktail, and it tastes pretty nice on it s own! I prefer it with a little lemon, but it s very nice as it is. Very glad to have ordered enough to keep me through the next year!
Not bad, not bad. The first impression is the color. It's a nice and dark blue. The kind of thing you don't expect tea to look like. It's definitely a fun novelty.
When you pour it, it smells like Fruit Loops! Not in a bad way... Drinking it is similar. It tastes a lot like Fruit Loops, which then fizzles out and you taste more lemongrass. I didn't use sugar or anything, just plain hot tea, but I found it quite enjoyable.
Absolutely FANTASTIC! I knew I had it as my 10/31 tea on CommuniTea... and hoo-boy it was WORTH it! As soon as my mug was empty, I jumped on and ordered some more! Very good tea! (I brewed it strong) The color was gorgeous!

I look forward to getting this tea each Blue Moon. Not only does it taste like the perfect mix of sweet and floral, it's also blue! I am fond of mixing it with lemonade (for a surprising new color) and drinking it as a cold tea. It's also great hot.
Both dry and brewed, the lemongrass aroma was strongest, but I could also smell gentle blueberry aromas. I waited until the vibrant blue tea cooled to warm, took a taste, and then added lemon juice and a tiny bit of honey which brought out a mild but identifiable blueberry flavor. I enjoyed this one warm and iced, and the lemon juice color change effect was really fun! There was also a very subtle, sort of earthy note that might have been from the butterfly pea flower, not sure. I regularly drink a few different lemongrass teas and also love blueberry, so this was a shoe in with me. Definitely going to be adding this to my collection! So glad to be doing CommuniTEA during a month with a blue moon. :)
Anything with butterfly peaflowers is fun for the blue color and magic color change ability when you lower the pH, but this tea is also tasty on its own. Lemongrass and blueberry are a great flavor pairing.

Amazing! Others said that this tastes like fruity pebbles and they were right. It is so good! My husband, who thinks I have too much tea, told me that I should 'hurry up and place my order!” I liked it better when out lemon juice, but the color change was so fun!
It had a pleasant, mild blueberry and lemongrass flavor. The blue color was absolutely fabulous. My only regret is that I didn't have any lemon to make the tea change colors.
I tried steeping it again to get as much enjoyment out of it as I could. It still had a nice blue color, but the flavor was pretty weak.

Receiving this tea on Halloween as part of the communiTea was perfect. My table looked like a mad science lab as I pour this into all the clear cups I had so that I may get one a video of the color changing and two. So I may taste this with or without the added lemon juice. I steeped this for a good 10 minutes. When I first opened the package and while it steeped I could smell the blueberries. Prior to added the lemon juice, I could also taste the blueberries. I did add a little sugar which enhanced the blueberry flavor. My bag had very little lemon grass so the lemongrass flavor was not as present as I would have liked. In my other two cups I added lemon juice. I really enjoyed watching the tea change colors. A little magic can not help but brighten up a day! Unfortunately, I probably added too much lemon juice. As now my cup was very tart. That said it was also still very good, But sugar was a must. Over all I will say I enjoyed the Bella Luna Blue, enough to order a bag and will probably be sorry I did not order more than one. Actually I ordered the set. So I am excited to get inguenuiTEA Teapot and a new glass mug. :0)
This makes a great iced tea. Light and refreshing. It's a gorgeous blue color. The addition of lemon not only turns it purple, but also adds a great pop of flavor.

It was a fun interactive tea, I loved it. The flavor wasn’t exciting but with lime juice it was good and it turned it purple. This isn’t a tea I would crave, but it definitely was fun.

Amazing way to end October's CommuniTEA. I enjoyed the combination in this one, not too much lemongrass. I only found out about the color changing magic afterwards so darn.
I’m just not as into this as most people. It tastes like lemon popcorn to me. I like it a little better cold-brewed than hot. The color and the color-changing is fun though.
I’m so glad that this was today’s CommuniTEA sample. I had already planned to order a couple of packets just to try it. But after tasting and falling in love with this tea (and yes! About halfway through I added a couple of drops of lemon juice and it was brilliant!) I ended up ordering 12 pouches just to get me through to 2023 and the next blue moon!
The last day of my communiTEA week was fabulous! Bella Luna Blue is a butterfly pea flower and lemongrass tea with blueberry flavor. If you add lemon juice to butterfly pea flower, it changes from blue to a bright magenta-purple! It's magic. I really love lemongrass, so I knew I would love this tea. I think it's great without the added lemon. Lemon gives it a more summer feeling. I smell the blueberry, but I don't taste much of it.
I used a tiny teapot, so I did 3 infusions (2 for 5 minutes each, the last for 10 minutes, 212°). The first was super robust, the second was much lighter, the third with mostly just lemongrass. I'm really glad I've already ordered a bag of this to experiment with! I think it was a good marketing plan to have this as the communiTEA the only day it's available (only on the blue moon, 2nd full moon in a calendar month), so big thumbs up to whoever came up with that idea!
Very fun tea. The color change aspects are a blast, and I liked the lemony taste of this one. I didn't really notice any blueberry taste, but that might come out better if cold-brewed.
To me the taste is all lemongrass but that is ok because the beautiful blue azure color is why I purchased this tea. Added a couple sugar cubes to sweeten it up. Delish! 🌙

I would say most of the flavor comes from the lemongrass, but the blueberry swoops in at the end for a nice finish. The color change is really fun for my kids... and me.
I never got this tea before because I worried it was all gimmick, but it tastes so fruity and delicious.
Visually this was stunning. Lemongrass had me skeptical but it was not overwhelming and quite lovely. Added a bit white sugar first steep and it was divine.

Such unusual color, great taste and MAGIC - just add a few drops of lemon juice!
So it's basically just lemongrass, which I really like anyway, but I gotta give it credit for presentation. I didn't get any blueberry flavor unfortunately, that would complement the lemon so well and round it out to be a bit fuller.
Although to be fair, you could just buy butterfly pea flowers separately right here on Adagio's pantry list and add them to any tea...just sayin'.
I stepped this for the full 10 minutes and this was DELICIOUS. The color was striking, the aroma was fantastic; I love that lemony smell. This was a really lovely blend and I can see why it's so popular! I can't wait to get the order I just made so I can have more!
The flavor is lemony. But that's not the reason you bought this tea, is it? You got it because you're a goblin whose little heart got three times bigger when you watched the tea turn bright blue. Make sure you have some lemon juice/an actual lemon so you can see it turn purple! I absolutely love this tea. It makes me so happy to see the colors, and I find the lemony blueberry flavor to be quite summery and refreshing. A magical tea for every day!
Subtle flavors that are great to enjoy at any time. I prefer mine with lemon added.
