White Monkey Customer Reviews

Green tea from the slopes of the Taimu Mountains in Fujian, China. The delicate, unopened buds appear perfectly white against the young, opened green leaves. Warm colored liquor with a fresh, almost wildflower sweet scent and slightly dry finish.

White Monkey Tea can be enjoyed at any point during the day, as its subtly sweet scent and astringency leave a refreshing aftertaste, but it is excellent when consumed in the evening or at the start of your day.

★★★★★

Light but very tasty, had to be careful of the water temp though

★★★★★

This tea has a very smooth flavor, yet full bodied, not bitter at all. I really enjoyed sipping on this tea!

Aside from Gunpowder, this is my second favorite Green Tea Adagio has in stock! Very smooth and buttery!

this was okay. I prefer jasmine green but that's just me.

★★★★☆

Very clean and green taste!!!
Not enough flavor for me, however, for a base tea when mixing at home it is great!!

★★★☆☆

I would consider this a good tea if you enjoy light green teas without much grassiness. Not a bad tea.

Personally i didnt care much for this tea, it had a very grassy flavor and was weak.

I admit, I was a bit surprised that something with the name White Monkey wasn't a white tea, but I like green teas just fine, and this one was pretty good!

★★★★☆

A very delicate tea. Most of it's flavor comes out from a second or third steep.

★★★★★

This will eat my money away. I am in love with this tea.

Such a great flavor and seems to be a favorite from all of my froends

★★★★☆

Just a good, solid green tea. Mild flavor and allows for multiple steepings.

★★★★★

First, this is an aesthetically beautiful tea whose scent is heaven! It is a perfectly delightful evening tea for something light and nutritious without too strong a vegetal flavor. Love this!

★★★★★

I really liked this tea a lot. It was light and mellow with a distinct flavor.

★★★☆☆

Robust and earthy with a nice tingle on the tongue. I think I prefer gunpowder as it tastes less grassy to me, but I do enjoy this too.

★★★★☆

Very light, you could almost say 'little' flavor. Understated. something you could drink everyday. This is probably a very good entry into greens if you've never tried them before.

★★★★☆

A very good, basic white tea, suitable for any time of day, hot or iced.

This tea was not what I had expected the first time I tried it. I'd been used to stronger flavored teas like genmaicha so the subtle flavor of this took me a bit to grasp. After a few cups though, I came to appreciate it's softer, mellow flavors and is a great tea for me to unwind with

★★★★★

This tea is delicious! I have it with breakfast everyday.

★★★★☆

Very smooth and light. Perfect for people who are scared of the Grassy/Veggy taste in green teas.

★★★☆☆

I'm more of a jasmine tea drinker but I can't always afford those awesome jasmine pearls. This is an okay green tea. It hit the spot when I'm in the mood for a green tea but it's nothing special.

★★★★☆

Nice blend, good tea. Nothing all that special (at least it didn't taste so to me), but nice enough and relaxing enough. Sadly, it didn't taste much like monkeys...(J/K)

Nice delicate flavor, very forgiving. Two well rounded tsp. per 12 oz. water.

This is a great green tea! It almost resembles a white tea - in color - when steeped. You can definitely get two steeps if you don't scortch the tea on the first steep so...careful, lol.

It's okay, not my favorite. I found it was just a bit too bitter for my tastes.

White teas are a bit tricky for me as they are so mild. This is good if not very subtle. Probably will try this again with a gawain...

★★★☆☆

It's very pleasant, but doesn't really have any intense tastes. All in all, a mild green that you can forget about while you're drinking.

I like green teas but this just wasn't for me. Not bad but not for me.

★★★★★

Another rave. Although this is a green tea, it is very mild like a white tea. Which is a good thing - you can steep as recommended for a mild cup or steep longer for a slightly stronger cup. And I easily get 3 infusions! Lovely light color and sweet fragrance.

I've had white monkey from other tea companies and Adagio's version is very comparable. I do feel like I have to steep it much longer than 2 minutes to bring out the taste I am accustomed to it. All in all, I still recommend this tea.

A good solid white tea. Great place for people to start exploring tea.

This is a fun twist on 2 good flavors. While it is a green tea with the softness and floral notes of green but that distinct golden tips taste of Golden Monkey

This has a really good flavor! I think I prefer other white teas but it does not mean it was not good!

★★★★★

I'm and not the biggest fan of white teas, but this one has changed my mind!

★★★★☆

I have been looking for a great green tea that isn't too vegetal and I think I have found it. you can taste the tea without it being overly grassy.

★★★★★

This tea is awesome! It's a great light flavor that's perfect for a mid-day tea :)

★★★★★

A subtle and smooth green tea, it's light, colorful, and tastes almost of a mild vegetal honey that's slightly earthy. I enjoy it more with a lower temperature to allow longer steeping.

★★★★★

My daughter told me about this tea and it's delicious. Smooth and mild tasting.
Dragon well used to be my favorite. Now it's white monkey.

★★★★☆

I was looking for a light green tea. I prefer a soft flavor. This fit perfect. Great to have as my first tea of the day

Much like fujian baroque was a lesser golden monkey, white monkey is a slightly less silver needle. It's a great, smooth tea, just not quite 'intense' I guess you could say, not that silver needle is intense. Very reserved.

This tea is a mellow Bi Lo Chun type. A great example of one of the 10 most famous teas of China.

A good everyday tea. The taste is kind of nutty.
