White Monkey Customer Reviews

Green tea from the slopes of the Taimu Mountains in Fujian, China. The delicate, unopened buds appear perfectly white against the young, opened green leaves. Warm colored liquor with a fresh, almost wildflower sweet scent and slightly dry finish.

I usually leave this in for too long, but it makes a nice mellow tea that is big on flavor, mellow doesn t equal watered-down. If I put too much in, just let it sit, the flavor sinks a bit, so you can add more water at convenience

Ah, my favorite green! I'm so bummed it is not available to buy in bulk! Have to wait till sometime next month! :(

This is by far my favorite green tea - it's mildly sweet and not grassy like other greens.

My second favorite by far! So relaxing and crisp. It really complements a good honey too!

Could not enjoy this tea at 180F, which was suggested on the packaging. It was bitter and not much flavor profile there. The smell was not pleasant either. However when I brewed at 150F it was much smoother and more pleasant.

It’s not my favourite hot but when iced it’s absolutely delicious

It's a very nice, light tea that I enjoy with a touch of honey. It's actually quite lovely iced too!

Great Chinese green tea flavor, like an upgraded pi lo chun.

Really good quality tea! Im usually more of a strait green tea fan, but this is nice for a change. The flavor isn’t too strong but also not too weak, which I like.

I m not sure what it is about this tea, but I love it. It s almost a little funky, like a pu erh, and super smooth.

This is my favorite tea. So refreshing as iced tea.

Love this more traditional green tea. It has a ton of flavor

★★★★★

We gifted this to my mom, and now it's her favorite tea!

★★★☆☆

I actually really enjoyed this tea. It's not as smokey or full-bodied as Gunpowder, and has a very light refreshing, and mildly grassy/seaweed flavor. Very good all around green tea flavor. It is however, too light for me. Even doubling the reccomended serving still yields a very light flavor for me.

Probably my favorite tea from Adagio! The price of this tea is amazing and it tastes almost like a crossover between a green and a white tea. I highly recommend.

★★★★★

Light floral and after a few infusions had a very light fruit finish

★★★★★

Pretty good, I love the vegetal notes and the slight sweetness.

★★★★☆

This was a gift that received rave reviews! Thank you:)

★★★★★

This is one of my favorite green teas of all time. It has strong and complex malty flavor with some toastiness and subtle green vegetable notes with an enjoyable medium to long finish. The recommended 180F (82C) works really well for this tea and I recommend not over steeping it. I feel like the caffeine levels are fairly high in this tea. 5 stars!

★★★★★

Mild and full of flavor. This is a nice switch from the more bold flavors I usually choose.

★★★★☆

Ohhh, that's a really nice cup of tea. I like how light and smooth it is. My daughter tried it too, and loved it. She's getting some for her Birthday.

By far my favorite green tea, even better than silver needle.

★★★★★

Smooth and gentle taste. Staple tea for when you want a mild and comfort tea.

★★★★★

Very gentle flavors. I would say it is the white tea of green teas.

★★★☆☆

Very light. Mildly sweet, but nothing I d notice if I weren t drinking it with the intent to review, really.

★★★★☆

An overall enjoyable tea, but brewing temperature is a must as it can get bitter rather quick. The tea itself though has a beautiful blend of flavor that can be enjoyed with or without sweetener.

So far my favorite unflavored green tea. Smooth tasting, golden green color is pleasant and the overall a mild tea. Will buy again.

★★★★★

Such a great plain white tea. I love it both hot and iced.

★★★★☆

This falls into the more grassy green tea category for me, but I thought it was very good and will definitely be ordering it again.

★★★★★

a very soft tea. I really love it. The smell out of the bag is heavenly, a soft but sweet smell. Once steeped it is a pale yellow with delicate taste, dry, and you do get the seaweed taste.

★★★☆☆

A pretty good tea, but not one of my favorites. Enjoyable enough though.

★★★★★

This is a nice, savory tea. It was good hot and okay cold.

It s light and sweet tasting if you don t have the water too hot and if you don t steep it for too long (or it s just my water, thank you Chinese Water Weed! [I run the water for 20 to 30 seconds, but it doesn t get out the Chinese Water Weed]) I could try a very lower temp, but they don t seem to unfurl much, maybe they are too cramped in my ball infuser, I don t feel like fishing out leaves from my water, although I do it with Jasmine Pearl green, but they too don t unfurl much.
I like the tea, but am picking up a slight tangy flavor as well, so maybe I ll try it at a lower temp.

Lovely, lightly fragrant tea. A perfect combination with Snowbud, if you are into mixing your own.

★★★★★

One of my favorite green teas! Nice and light, tastes more like a white tea to me which is probably why I like it so much.

Awesome tea! Thank you so much for this!! And service is awesome!

★★★★☆

I enjoyed this tea, very unique flavor hard to say exactly what t tasted like, a little hint of sweetness.

★★★★☆

For white tea lovers only! I realize I need more to my tea than just the core tea. But I’m sure it’s perfect for those that don’t need the flavors.

★★★☆☆

Weak no flavor. Will have to add more tea than called for. Just need a more sensitive palate i guess.

Light and aromatic, but not my favorite among the white teas.

★★★★★

so tasty love this tea!!! so great,

★★☆☆☆

I wasnt a fan but my daughter loved it. Tasted like spinach to me.

★★★☆☆

The best way I can describe it is 'ok' It's not bad, but it's not something that stands out of a crowd. It's a good inexpensive every day option but not something that stood out compared to other greens.

★★★★☆

Really like the white monkey, it's a bit earthier than the sleeping dragon, but has a good green tea flavor and lovely large whole leaves

★★★★☆

A tea with a clean and fresh taste, offering a subtle brightness
