White Monkey Customer Reviews

Green tea from the slopes of the Taimu Mountains in Fujian, China. The delicate, unopened buds appear perfectly white against the young, opened green leaves. Warm colored liquor with a fresh, almost wildflower sweet scent and slightly dry finish.

This tea is awesome, its taste is unique and refreshing. My friend brought me tea from china when he went and i loved the flavor. This tea tasted and smelled just like it. It looks much different though which is interesting. This is one of my favorites.

I agree with others. It's a good, basic green. Not bad, not great.

★★★☆☆

This one is not my favorite. My favorite is jasmine green tea. The aroma of this tea is too light and I can barely taste anything. I tried brewing with hotter water and it became a bit bitter.

If I'm in the mood for something lighter on the caffeine, this is usually my choice.

I enjoy this tea a great deal. Smooth and satisfying

subtle and grassy, but without the chlorophyll that usually ruins grassy tastes for me. very clean.

I tried brewing it multiple ways, even tried cold brewing it, but I could never manage to not have it end up tasting either really weak or bitter and over steeped. It could be that I'm not a huge green tea fan, but white monkey is not something I would get again.

I would suggest that people def try the sample before committing to a larger size

This tea has a uniquely awesome taste. Accidentally oversteeped it, but it's not harsh or bitter at all. It's a little on the light side, but has a wonderful flavour.

This along with green pekoe are my wife's two favorite green teas from Adagio. A nice flavor that's not too overpowering.

★★★☆☆

It's not a bad tea, but not one of my favorites. It has an aftertaste to it that I cant really describe, just a little weird. But I dont hate it, but its not what I would drink frequently.

This was a very good green tea. A much more delicate flavor than the gunpowder tea. I may have to order a larger package next time.

White Monkey tea - great tea for all day drinking. Mellow flavor, on the lighter side, with a semi sweet aftertaste. Doesn't have the spinach flavor of some green teas. Good for multiple infusions. Less caffeine in this one, which is nice for people with sensitive digestive systems. Really good tea!

This is one of my favorite teas. It is incredibly delicate and smooth. It is a very light tea, so make sure you don't skimp on the amount of leaves you add.

Wonderfully smooth green tea. I follow the time and temperature indicated, and the tea brews well every time. The flavor is well-balanced (not too strong and not too weak).

I brew this tea in my Yixing tea pot. I enjoy the delicate, sweet liquor. It's a wonderful green tea.

Very subtle tea. Not really like a white tea... more like a weak green tea.

★★☆☆☆

It had the smell and taste of spinach. The aftertaste stuck with me all day. Not a fan at all.

Smoke, moderate grass, very faint pear skin sweetness, in that order. I agree with the reviewer who said they added fruit

I didn't like it. It tastes like I've been brewing hay.

One of my favorite greens. Lots of little 'tea hairs' make it taste great.

This is a lovely green tea with an nice but vegital aroma with hints of honey in the background. The savory mouth feel is surprising considering it's clean finish. light little earthy notes weave in and out of the flavor and aroma, good, but may not reorder, but that's just because of my personal tastes.

This just didn't have enough there for me

★★★★★

Wonderful, light, clean taste. The aftertaste of a mellow fruit, almost like a slice sliding across your tongue was very pleasant. Not vegetal or overly sweet.

I love to use white monkey as the base for almost every cup of tea I drink in the morning. It has a very clean taste. It goes great with just a sprinkle (or two!) of hojicha, and sometimes, I add a third tea, such as anji duet.

This is one of my favorite unflavored green teas (the other one being Iron Goddess of Mercy). It has a subtle flavor, so it's best to drink without food. As always, I buy all of my Adagio tea through www.ShopOnline2Give.com.

This is a very good green tea and tasted how a green tea should (from my point of view). Worthy of mention, this tea got better after the first steep, so don't get discouraged if the first steep isn't up to par.

My new favorite, okay well maybe tied with dragonwell. This was a surprise find in one of the samplers. I just love it! Plus, it's priced so that it can be an everyday tea. I like to brew this up and sip on it throughout my work day. If you haven't tried this yet, I would highly recommend it!

This is not one of my favorite green teas. I mixed it with a little juice from a fresh orange, and it was much better.
