This tea has a very mild flavor, which is what I was looking for. It's not as grassy as I expected it to be from how it looked. I think I'd order again.
An interesting tea, good flavor with the pungency that is common to Japanese Greens. However, it is rather mild and can be bland. I prefer Chinese Greens and I will stick with those, I wouldn't mind getting a small quantity of this tea every now and then for a change of pace but not any time soon.
I was hesitant to give Kukicha a try because I thought, "Why would I want to drink tea leaves AND twigs and all those extras?" But little did I know it does wonders for the taste of this tea. I enjoy the fresh, grassy undertones and the aroma is excellent.
A very mellow, smooth green tea. You can definitely taste the earthy flavor so traditionally associated with green tea. Not the highest quality, but great bang for your buck and definitely worth keeping around.
This might be my favorite green tea, ever. It's grassy, has a gorgeous color, and has a perfectly balanced flavor -- bold but not too strong. I've had kukicha before, but none as good as this. Even better, the price is affordable enough to make this an every day tea. I'll be buying it again and again.

These tea was only ok, I got it in a sample and used it all but it was not worth re-ordering. I prefer the Sencha Overture, its a much richer green tea.
There is a slight sweetness, with a faint nuttiness and there is an unambiguous grassiness to the tea. Brews to a pale green.

Very earthy Japanese tea, great for tea lovers. Hard to get into for my fruit flavored tea friends. Don't let the twigs turn you off.

I don't know what it is about this tea, but I just love it. It has such a vibrant green color to it and the flavor is outstanding.
Oh, how I get a kick out of this tea. Now, this won't sound appealing but, trust me, it is. With it's softness and bright green color, it looks just like grass clippings. And it's got the same earthy taste. But it is so refreshing to me and interesting.
The tea tasted very grassy and looked very dusty (using the glass mug and infuser).
I could drink this everyday for the rest of my life. Best $7 I have spent in a long time. Came in a tin which is a lot nicer than the pouch I was expecting.
I enjoy this tea very much, and I'm not much of a green tea drinker. I tried this tea as a signature blend called International Green by Wes C and it was Fantastic. This tea is great when your not feeling good and you have a cold, this tea is perfect...it is like having your serving of green veggies.
I admit, I wasn't sure about this tea, but I'm so glad I tried it. It's pretty grassy but I can definitely tell the nutty tones were there as well. An excellent green!
This is a grassy green tea, though I don't think it's as strong as Gyokuro or Sencha. It's a bit more forgiving than those two about brew time and water temperature, but you still have to be careful not to let it steep too long or it will get bitter. The twigs add a sweet & nutty flavor. If you like grassy green tea, this one is a good low cost option.
Its like Fukamushi with a nutty taste. Love it. Twings and leaves are for me.

I wanted a grassy green tea that wouldn't break my bank account, and this more or less fit the bill. It's got a sweetish grassy flavor... did you ever break a fresh green branch off of a tree when you were a kid? Remember what it smelled like? That's what this kukicha tastes like. I enjoyed it but it may not be for everyone.
This is a great green tea. I love it both hot and iced and find myself reaching for it often.
One of my "staples" with green tea. It's got a very robust grassy flavor - but I love it!

I ordered a large bag of this as I just love it. I drink this in large cups all day. Its gently, it has a great balance between grassy and sweetness and its easy to brew. When i don't know what to drink, I grab this. Any time of day
My mom ordered this tea and she says it tastes like boiled grass. We won't order it again.
This is a very grassy green. I'm a newcomer to Japanese greens, but I can't tell much difference between this and the sencha overture, except that the kukicha seems to have less tendency to get bitter. At half the price of sencha overture, I'd recommend the kukicha if you're looking for a Japanese green to start with.
Very interesting. It tastes mostly like a sencha. Not sure I'm really detecting the twig fragments. But still a very nice green.

One of our favourites: flavorful without being overbearing. Light and round.
Reminds me of a lighter, sweeter, version of a genmaicha. Delicious. The notes of chestnut are there, matched with a earthy/grassy sweetness.
Very mild tea, with grassy flavor and awesome smell. Great for the late afternoon reading material.
A flavor I was not expecting; more reminicent of asparagus than grass. I won't order this again, but I'll finish my sample size.
I love kukicha and have been waiting probably a year to get some from Adagio. Love it! The twigs give it a sweet flavor. Be careful not to oversteep or use too-hot water.
This is a really great, fresh tasting green tea. It's a bit astringent, but I find that adding a bit of peppermint fixes that.

I really loved this quirky green tea. It has elements of the vegetal taste that you expect from a green, but it has a nice sweetness that balances it all out. I will definitely be ordering more of this one - and sharing it with others!
