Was really good. I actually tasted more like chocolate truffle then I expected
My top favorite chocolate tea and top favorite Adagio tea! Such a great chocolate flavor and a necessity in my tea collection!!
This tea smells fantastic in the pouch, but the taste after brewing is a bit of a letdown. It's not very chocolaty at all.
I can’t taste much a flavor in this one myself, I tried a couple times.
This was good but I was a little disappointed. I've made it a few times and it's always a little weaker than most of my Adagio teas.
Trying to figure out how this is different from Tiger Eye. Maybe my taste buds are not sophisticated enough...
I really love the Chocolate Chip tea, so I was really hoping to love this. It was okay. Not quite the sweet, smooth chocolatey tea I was hoping for.
Definitely chocolatey in that clean tea way. Well-rounded and dessert-like.
It is a nice tea, but not strong enough for me. The chocolate flavor is there but the tea portion is much lighter than I was hoping for.
Dessert in a cup. Sweet and full of flavor didd not need a cookie with my tea this round!
I generally don't like teas with a lot of chocolate or other very sweet editions, but this works well. It certainly is a treat after a meal or something since it is a clear (but soft) chocolate flavor.
So super yummy!! Such a good chocolate flavor makes the perfect desert cup. I like to froth up some milk or heavy cream and top it off with a bit of cocoa powder.
This is a decadent treat without the guilty of ganache.
Really nice on a cool morning. Love enjoying this hot with a bit of sugar. Also for an afternoon pick me up, I love blending it with coconut macaroon, it’s just like almond joy that way!
I literally had four cups of this tea this morning because it is so damn good. I recommend if you like rich teas!
Might sound strange, but worth giving a try! the flavor is subtle but adds nicely to other flavors, and is good on its own as well
I was a little skeptical of chocolate tea, but it is done very well.If you like chocolate you will like this.
Absolutely amazing! Ordered a sample size to try but will be getting more on my next order!
This is an excellent tea, but I'm on the fence as to whether I like this more than the Chocolate Chip tea. Let's face it: they're both chocolate. That being said, I'd have to recommend the chocolate chip tea for those who are more into the dark chocolate experience. Don't get me wrong, the chocolate truffle has nuances that make it a bit more creamier than the chocolate chip tea, but overall chocolate flavor, I'm thinking the chocolate chip. Now, I may have to make it as a latte to see if the flavor becomes more pronounced, but it's a really good tea for chocolate lovers. I'm just afraid Adagio has spoiled me.
I love all things chocolate! I mix this 2/3 to 1/3 with the Cream tea. Love it!
I enjoyed it but don’t oversteep it, can get bitter. Strong chocolate flavour. Excellent as a tea latte.
I prefer this tea to the chocolate. It has a smoother finish and, once again, it's good anytime of the year.
This tea is a little one note. Ok if I'm craving something sweet but probably not a repeat tea for me.
Very tasty! I wasn t sure how I would like this at first, as I worried that the addition of chicory would not appeal to me. However, it blends well into the overall flavor profile, better than I expected. It s similar to the other chocolate-type flavored blends that Adagio has, but not quite the same. It s a bit sweeter, a little closer to what most people would think of as a 'chocolate' flavor, but it still has that deep rich roastiness that I prize in the Chocolate Chip tea, for example.
Note that my brewing temperature is due to the fact that I live at high altitude. Normally you would want to brew this at boiling, but for me, boiling is 207 F and my electric kettle, while nicely equipped with six settings that would be perfect if I lived closer to sea leve, can t be set to 207. It s either 200 or 212. So I usually just set it to 200. Sometimes I set it to 212 and try to let it cool a little bit before pouring so it doesn t scald the tea, but I find I have better results by using 200 F water and just letting it steep a bit longer than I would otherwise. So five to six minutes instead of four to five minutes.
Incredible, I feel like I'm getting my daily dose of chocolate in a cup and it's amazing! Very nice.
This was not my favourite tea. It was a bit too chocolately for me.
I ve been on a chocolate tea binge this winter. Chocolate truffle is my second favorite. It does have a chocolatety tea taste.
Just enough chocolate flavor to make it delicious , without being over sweet .. I added sugar and milk and it was like dessert in a cup
Smells and tastes really strongly of chocolate. The smell is sweeter, while the taste is more bitter, like dark chocolate
Delicious, rich, chocolatey flavor. The fragrance is just divine. I will definitely buy again.
Added a little cream to this and it was just like having a cup of hot chocolate, without the guilt. All it took was a splash of cream to give it a slightly heavier mouthfeel and the rest was perfect. Got to stock up on this.
I do not normally care for chocolate teas but have found this one to be quite good. In the winter I mix it with candy cane! Try a sample!!
This is my favorite chocolate tea. Deep rich flavor. It is good mixed with other teas like strawberry. Will be a staple in my collection.
I have some hesitancy with chocolate teas in general, but Adagio does Chorange and Chocolate chip very well, so I decided to try this one. I’m glad I did! Chocolate teas end up being a bit light for me, but the chicory root in here really added some depth and dimension. I love my black teas with half and half and it was a really good cup. Well done, Adagio!
Not sure which is best for chocolate flavor, this or the chocolate chip. I'd give the nod to the truffle, but not by much. I'm still expecting a more hot chocolate experience (I add a lot of milk). I haven't gotten it from either of them. Not a bad tea.
The smell of this one worried me at first as it reminded me of a tea I just cannot handle on any level as I had a bad experience from drinking it. However, thankfully, this tea tastes good!
Definitely their chocolatiest blend. It s got a deep, dark chocolate flavor. Add milk and you ve got a sweet, incredible treat! Delicious!
By far the most chocolate-tasting tea I've found! All of the different types of chocolate flavoring hit different notes, and it ends up extremely well-rounded and satisfying.
Smelled lovely and was indeed tasty, but I think I'm used to the tea blends that have other things in addition to chocolate, because there was a little something lacking in this one. I definitely enjoyed it but I tend to reach for my Chocolate + Other Things mixes before this one.
Love it!! It has a great rich chocolate taste and warms you up from the inside.
Good chocolate flavor, not too light nor too overpowering.
Strong chocolate flavor, wonderful on its own or with a bit of cream.
This is nice but I’ve had tea with more chocolate flavor than this one. I tried it first with no cream and it was missing a little something. I decided to add a little half and half since it’s all I had and this brought out more flavor.
This is so good! The other plain chocolate teas (chocolate and chocolate chip) didn t really work for me but there s something about this one that s just so much better. Great flavor.
The truffle in the name led me to believe this would have a strong chocolate flavor. That isn't the case, as I probably shouldn't be surprised for a tea, the chocolate flavor is present, but is an undertone from the black tea. It isn't bad, just not quite what I was hoping for
While I'm not a huge chocolate fan, this was very pleasant! I enjoy this with a splash of milk and a few rock sugar crystals.
This is a pretty good chocolate tea. Probably the best one on Adagio.
nice chocolate flavor with being overpowering. I like this in the evening
Not sure if this is what I was expecting based on other reviews calling it a sweet treat, but still not bad.
Apologies. I wasn't impressed. I feel like I've had this before but for some reason it was like red stuff was in it, not blue. Oh wait a minute...that was called Scorpio blend. I just feel there was nothing new about this one.
