Pretty tasty tea. It does need sugar in order to bring out the chocolatey flavor.
Good, chocolatey, but not chocolatey enough to be a chocolate truffle tea. I expected something indulgent and smooth, but it was just a normal amount of chocolate.
This is a lovely chocolatey tea when you add creamer and sugar (otherwise it’s incredibly bitter). It has a nice balanced flavor without the chocolate being too overpowering, instead complimenting the natural flavor of the tea

Full, rich, deep chocolate flavor. The dark chocolate notes complemented the black tea wonderfully. Great with some sweetener but I enjoyed it unsweetened as well.
This is the best chocolate tea I have found in a while! It is strong enough that I can steep it twice without losing the chocolatey flavor (which is a very common issue among flavored teas like chocolate).
Perfect tea for that sweet tooth craving. It's deliciously full of chocolate flavor and with a little stevia it feels like your having a decadent treat. This tea is in my top 5 and worth a try if you're on the fence.
Super intense chocolate smell. I had high hopes for this one, and the initial taste was very good. Very intense chocolate flavor. But the immediate aftertaste tasted like coffee to me. I don't like coffee in any way, shape, or form, so I sadly won't drink this again - but I'll gift it to my sister who does like coffee, and I expect she will love it!
The flavor is not at all what I expected. It’s too bitter for my liking. I added sugar and milk to tolerate it. I will finish the bag but I don’t think I’ll buy it again.
This is a very rich tasting tea. It's quite strong actually, but that's a great thing. It tastes like a great dessert with milk and sugar.
I like the flavor, but I feel like it could be a little stronger. I might just try to add a little more tea next time I have it. Tried it straight, then added some vanilla soy milk.
This is pretty good on its own, but after adding a piece of rock sugar, it really brings out that delicious chocolate flavor so strongly that it honestly tastes like someone liquified an actual chocolate truffle candy. So good! I bet if I had a splash of vanilla cashew milk to add, that might even make it that much better. 10/10 would recommend for chocolate lovers.

This tea is super rich. More of a dessert tea. Full of flavor and delicious chocolatety goodness.
I really wanted to like this tea. I am a chocolate fan, big time, so the idea of a decadent chocolate tea with actual chocolate pieces in it really made my mouth water. I ordered a larger bag of this instead of a sample (oops) thinking this may be divine back in May of 2020. Well...it's November 2020 now and the bag is still pretty much half way gone because no matter how many times I have experimented with water temps, time, teaspoon measurements--I can't brew this tea without it tasting bitter. Even a short steep time, this brew came out more like the flavor many of us as toddlers and kids may have experienced accidentally biting into Grandma's cooking chocolate. :/ Maybe with time and improvement, Adagio can tweak this one. For now, I don't recommend.
I think I was expecting something else, I wasn’t a fan of the chocolate flavor combination with the black tea.

I love this tea for a cozy, sweet treat. The chocolate comes through nicely especially when you add a bit of rock sugar. Perfect for the fall and winter.

Has a bit of a Yoo-hoo taste to it. A nice sipper for a chocoholic. Not bad, good with cookies or as a hot cocoa substitute. I tried it with natural cane sugar and a bit of half n' half. Good on a cold day or chilly evening.
Tastes just like chocolate truffles to me. A big time pregnancy craving. A little sugar and cream and this is PERFECT for my cravings lol
So far my favorite tea of the bunch. It is really good. I only bought the sample, but plan on buying the bulk easily.
A strong rich flavour which I enjoy more than mild cups of tea. With a splash of milk its a good hot cocoa replacement without the sickly sweetness.

This is a fantastic chocolate tea. It has a nice depth of flavor without being too sweet or too bitter. It’s my new go-to for chocolate black tea.
I wasn't entirely sure what to expect with this tea as I find chocolate teas can be pretty hit or miss. I was pleasantly surprised! Aside from having a nice chocolate flavor, it's also just got a good strong black tea backbone.
I generally want chocolate about, eh, twice a year. This does the trick! It has a lovely smell in the bag and is just enough chocolate for me. I can see that it might not be the ideal chocolate replacement for a chocoholic, and yet it has a place for sure. I like to blend it with the butterscotch tea for a sweet treat.
The aroma is ooooooolala! A way to get my chocolate fix without all the calories.

I got this in my Better Tea Club order this month, and I thought it was going to be way too sweet or artificial-tasting. It smells good, but this is one that I prefer drinking to just sticking my nose in. I am loving it! I ended up adding some stevia and cream, and it tastes like hot chocolate without guilt. Definitely a dessert tea, but not artificial or syrupy at all! I ordered immediately.
If you really like chocolate and the taste of tea mixed, this will fit exactly what you want.

Delicious as a dessert drink! Comforting as a hug and great for satisfying a sweet cravings - this reminds me of Tin Can Tea Co’s Dutch Cocoa tea I bought at the Philly flower show a few years ago
