Chestnut flavor does come through well and works with black tea. Not a bad tea at all, but I'm not too excited about it either. I gladly finished my sample but it won't be on my favorite list. I think it will work well in a blend though so I'll look out for those in the future.
Top notch flavored tea. I don t generally like flavored but this one has me hooked. Made with chestnut honey, to die for.
I got chestnut in the tea advent calendar and fell in love with it immediately. This is a lovely tea to have in the morning, I enjoy it a lot with some cream and sometimes a bit of honey if I want some sweetness. It's not aggressive but still bold and satisfying and is a great start to my day
This is one of my favorite teas. The warm, nutty smoothness is perfect. No bitterness. No need to add anything to it. Just a yummy way to start the morning.
This is the ultimate black tea for me. Not too astringent with lovely sweet/nutty notes

This is a favorite of mine. It has really great flavor. I add in a splash of milk and sometimes cacao nibs.

Very wonderful smelling and almost makes you think it will be too heavy given the smell of the dry leaves, but the brewed product is a wonderful black tea with delicious roasted-nut undertones.
One of my favorites!! My daughter gave this to me as a Christmas gift this year and after just one taste, I was hooked! I immediately added another bag to my wishlist for a future purchase. I love the smooth nutty flavor and with a splash of milk and sugar, it’s a cozy cup of happiness on a cool morning!
I really enjoyed this tea. It tastes just like chestnut. I drink it black. I could see it being a nice latte though.

Out of the 24 teas from the 2020 Advent Calendar, this one was my favorite. This tea is perfect for a cozy evening at home or for sipping in my office.
A nice black tea. I wish the chestnut flavor was a little bit stronger, but it is still good. I recommend adding cream and honey.
On its own, this tea didn't quite suit me. It has a slight sweetness to it that just isn't for me. But blended with other teas it's brilliant.
The first tries I just blended with a black, unflavored tea, to tone it down, and that was really pleasant, but then i added lapsang souchong too and it's a new favourite.

Good mild tea. It's an easy crowd pleaser if you are looking for something not to dark.
While this is not exactly like a roasted chestnut in flavor, Adagio did it s best to get the nutty and lightly sweet and sticky taste of roasted chestnuts. Overall, I would give it a 4.5, but as there is not a 4.5 option, a 5 is in order for overall good taste in the cup and pre-steeping aroma.
So amazing! I first tried it in the advent calendar and immediately bought a whole bag. Perfect balance of chestnut flavor.
When I opened the bag, I was surprised to smell an almost maple scent. The tea itself didn t have such a strong maple flavor though. Overall, I liked this tea, but it isn t one of my favorites.
It gives off an earthy scent that reminds me of mild autumn mornings.
It's got kind of a woody/nutty flavor to it, with some subtle earthiness. It's really good as a contrast against some of the sweet and rich foods we eat around Christmas - I like the teas I eat with desserts to refresh the palate, rather than be sweet as well.
This tea is so unique. It almost has a caramel flavor profile. It is so good with a splash of milk. Definitely enjoyed my sample and plan to order more.
This was the surprise knockout sample in my previous order. Add a bit of sugar and cream to this and it is the coziest winter beverage you could ever imagine. I'm buying a large bag right away!
Much prefer this to the Tinsel Tea “Chestnuts Roasting.” It has the sweetness of chestnuts rather than being overly smoky.
rich and dark - almost like coffee! I'm a coffee drinker and added my normal creamer! Delicious!

Without exaggerating, this is probably the best flavored tea I ve ever had. The flavor is pretty strong, but not obnoxious. It smells amazing too, super enjoyable.

This is tasty, with a mild nutty flavor. I don't know how chestnuts actually taste, but the tea is pleasant.
This chestnut tea is incredibly sweet on its own. So much so that I'm having trouble drinking it. The flavor is nice and strong with no bitterness. (3 min @ 212°F)
Wow, a pleasant, delicious surprise! I didn't know what to expect from this bc chestnuts aren't part of my family holiday traditions or memories, but this tea was delicious and I couldn't stop drinking it. My instant take on the first steep was pancakes, not chestnuts! Then as it cooled to a nice warm sipping temp, that sort of turned into a natural tasting maple type flavor that was very light but was a little more forward than the rich nuttiness that read like something a little more savory almost like something bready or pancakey. In the second steep, the rich nuttiness was clearer and came to the front, while the mapley note was quieter and the tea was less astringent. To me, it wasn't a toasted nut kind of flavor, more of a roasted nut. I inadvertently over-caffeinated myself today and had to stop myself from downing the second steep! I saved the rest of it and chilled it for tomorrow. Nice black, but with honey and vanilla almond milk it tasted decadent. (3 mins @ 195º)
I do not know what chestnuts taste like. So it is a little hard to review on the taste. I will say when I opened the package the aroma was nutty. The flavor was also a nutty. I steeped it at 200 degrees for about 2 minutes.
Rich and nutty with a sweet potato undertone. Best if you add honey or sweetener. I prefer honey and a little bit of cream. Great for making blends, too!

Love this nutty tea! 2.5-3 minutes, with sweetener and milk
