At first, this tea smelled really yummy, but after I brewed it, the smell was way too overwhelming. Smells like maple syrup. I am going to try mixing it with another tea, like others have suggested
Perfect for enjoying in front of an open fire on a cool night, in any season. A comforting reminder of the season of giving, perfect to share with a few close friends.

It's definitely a holiday inspired tea. The flavor is good, but its viscosity is a bit heavy.
I cant wait to try this tea. Its perfect for the holiday season.
I would not drink it by itself very often. But I would blend with it for a unique tea.
Drink this one with milk and sugar! They complement the flavor very well. Actually, it has a little sweetness on its own so you may not need the sugar.
Only average on it's own, this tea really pops when combined with another tea. I tried mixing it 50/50 with cream and really enjoyed the combination of sweet and milky flavors. I'd be interested in how this tea would fare combined with a chai or another strongly spiced tea.
Terrific aroma! Great nutty flavor! I don't know what chestnuts are supposed to smell or taste like, but it makes a great cup of tea! Also think it would be a great tea to blend with other flavors for the fall or winter. Yum!
This is an interesting tea. I'm not actually sure what chestnuts taste like all by themselves, so I can't say for sure ifit's very chestnutty. I do like it, and blended with hazelnut, it becomes a thing of beauty. It's definitely worth a shot.
This is a rich, nutty tea. I had a sample at Adagio's first retail store and had to purchase it. A warm and toasty nutty tea. Much enjoyed.
This tea was surprisingly good. I have not had much experience with anything chestnut, but i decide to try it along with a couple of the other seasonal teas. It is technically fall but it is not what i would consider fall temperature here in Texas the past few weeks, but this fall tea was still pretty good. It had a great nutty, dark chocolate smell when you open the canister which was a great first impression. The taste after brewing was quite the same. It was not a very strong taste but enough to know it's there. It has been many years since I have drank coffee so my taste bud memory of it may no be fresh, but I would say it would be good for former coffee drinkers as well. I enjoyed trying this one and it will definitely not go to waste, but because I am not a fan of coffee which i feel the taste was similar to, I would probably not buy it again.
Wow--I'm incredibly excited about this. Unique and very 'homey' smelling, very warm and inviting. Great nuttiness.
This it by far my favorite tea of all time. I ordered a whole pound after trying a sample in the stocking stuffer set. It has a wonderful sweet, nutty flavor and aroma. I sometimes mix it with cream and honeybush chocolate teas, but I love it on its own, too. I am so addicted to this tea that I drink it at least once a day!
This tea is good. I really like it with a little milk and sugar. Once you sweeten it a little, you can really taste the nuttiness of it. Delicious!
This is our go-to winter tea. When it was a seasonal tea I use d to buy it in bulk so as not to run out!
Just wonderful. Very rich -- the chestnut flavor is strong but not overwhelming.
This is so warm and perfect for the Holidays. Taste is great, subtle.
Great tea with very strong flavor. I highly recamend to anyone who likes chestnuts!
Very good - after getting a sample size my husband insisted on getting an 8 oz tin!
I first tasted this tea in the Holiday Sampler, and had to order more. It has a fine smell and delicious flavour, and while I'm not huge on chestnuts, I like it quite a lot.
Incredibly smooth, with a malty undertone. Perfect for chilly mornings. I bought the sampler and it makes much more tea than the 10 cups stated, well worth your money!
One of my all time favorites. The Chestnut flavor is natural and soothing. Try mixing with the Cream tea at about 60/40 ratio. Popular with my group at work.
The taste is pretty subtle and nothing very jawdropping. I like it enough to enjoy drinking it but I'm not so in love with it I need to stock up on it for the year.
I really like this one. Nice warm, round flavor. I'd certainly buy it again.
This is a good flavor but personally I think it could have been stronger. I will probably order it again though.
Amazing! It tastes like hazelnut coffee but lighter and less acidic.
I thought I'd love this tea, but it was pretty unimpressive. It has a a nice, mellow flavor, but I only get in the mood to drink it every so often. I find it pretty blah.
if you like hazelnut flavored coffee, then this tea is for you. not really my thing, but the flavor was ok.
This tea has become a favorite at our house and with my tea sipping friends. It has a wonderful nutty quality and flavor that holds without taking over the tea. After getting a small tin I then ordered a pound.
This was alright, nothing special. Most of the holiday teas from Adagio are very similar. Smells very creamy, but doesn't taste it. Very sensitive to oversteeping, so be careful.
I REALLY wanted to like this one, but in my opinion, the only way it's acceptable is if it's sweetened with milk in it. The chestnut flavor is wonderful, but the aftertaste of the tea is too overbearing.
It seemed weak and bland when I drank it steaming hot right after brewing, but it became more pronounced near room temperature. The flavor is startlingly creamy, nutty, and true to its smell. I liked the second infusion much better than the first, but I'm not sure how much of the difference was due to me overbrewing the first by about half a minute.
I had a sample of this from the previous year and I really liked it. But the tin I bought this year is kind of average and blah.
A superb nutty holiday tea that I drink year 'round and use in tea blends.
Somehow, I ended up with over a pound of this tea by Christmas and after getting through over half of my stash, I am definitely still in love with it. The nutty, vanilla, almost creamy flavor complements the black tea very well.
My holiday wish would be that this tea was available year-round. It is smooth, creamy, and delicious.
Not a favorite of mine, but decent for a nice cold evening.
I only wish this one was offered year round. I'll have to keep a good stock of it. It's nice and nutty and slightly sweet. Really nice for tucking in with a blanket and a good book.
I thought this was a really good tea and do recommend it.
Had just the right flavor, exactly what I was looking for. However, I accidentally ordered FAR too much, and now I'm somewhat sick of it. At least I'll have plenty to go back to when I get a taste for it agian.
If you like the flavored hazlenut black, give this a try.
Amazing taste. It's like drinking Christmas in a cup.
this is a good winter blend, great with milk. i don't know how realistic the chestnut flavor is, but i like it.
I *love* chestnut tea! It's my favorite holiday tea. I love it mixed with milk and sugar, but it's also good on its own. It has a deliciously nutty flavor!
Easily my FAVORITE tea from Adagio. I like it best with sugar and cream, but it has a sweet flavor of its own. I wish they offered in all year round.
5 Stars. My very favorite, I always buy enough to get me through the year. I wish it was available all year long!
I love this tea's subtle flavor (a little like vanilla) and wonderful aroma.
This is a great nut-flavored tea. I was afraid that the chestnut flavoring would taste overly sweet and fake, but it doesn't. The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is that it's easy to oversteep and make it bitter.
Nice nutty flavor, great with milk and honey. Thanks!
Awesome! When I first opened the tin I almost didn't try it because the smell was too overpowering. I decided to brew a cup anyway and was pleasantly surprised with the wonderful chestnut flavor in my cup of tea. I ordered a second mid sized tin to last me the year.T
I like this tea mixed with others better than on it's own - the chestnut flavor is great.
