★★★★★

Very good. nutty and rich. Definitely makes me think of winter and sitting by the woodstove. I like it with one sugar, no milk.

★★★☆☆

I bought this tea, certain I would like it, but it doesn't seem to fit what I was hoping for. It's certainly not bad, just not what I expected. It'll take some getting used to in order for me to drink it all.

★★★★★

This tea has made my husband a tea lover. He has just tolerated tea for years. I gave him a cup of chestnut tea last winter and now, as far as he is concerned, this is the only kind of tea to drink. I always have to make sure we have a bag of chestnut tea in the cupboard. We only buy this in the 16 ounce size.

The tea smells pretty interesting - I'm not sure whether I like it or not. It doesn't exactly remind me of chestnuts, but it tastes alright.

★★★★★

My go to autumn flavor or anytime during the year when I'm wishing for autumn.

★★★★★

I drank this tea over ice, nothing added. I had it with my lunch, which included a red apple and smoked trout. It pairs incredibly well with fresh apple and smoked trout! Amazing combination! The tea and the trout together were unbelievable! Each drew out the flavor notes of the other in a perfect symphony of yum. The apple was an excellent post-meal palate cleanser, and didn't contrast negatively with either drink or fish.

I had my friend smell this tea and she immediately said, 'GAH! IT'S CHRISTMAS!' It does smell like Christmas, but it also has that warm nuttiness that makes it wonderful for a fall day. Wrap up in something wool, get cozy, sit by a window to watch the rain or the snow and drink up. Fireplace optional but highly recommended.

★★★★☆

very deep rich and smooth flavor. I wonder what it would be like mixed with pu'erh. hmmm got to try it.

★★★★★

The smell out of the bag is amazing! The tea is delicious, perfect for fall and winter.

There's a smoky quality to this not found in other nut teas. It's a bold flavor, and not one I'm sure is entirely appealing, at least on its own - it tends to be rather one-note, especially when hot (when you get mostly roasted flavor and rather less nut.) It's not bad in a mix, but honestly, I prefer hazelnut as a nut tea and toasted mate for a toasted tea.

★★★★☆

This is a great, nutty blending tea, which is perfect to round out the flavors of a spiced blend or a chocolate blend if you don't want to use almond or hazelnut. I actually like it better than the hazelnut, because it is just a bit different while still retaining that nutty flavor.

Nice, very flavorful. Very much like the caramel flavored tea, but with maple notes.

This was purchased for my mother. She had gotten it in the Holiday Sampler tin set I got for her, and since, it's been her favourite tea on earth. I'm not exactly one for nutty flavoured things, so I didn't try it. My mother said it has an almost maple-y taste and scent, along with the chestnut flavor.

I absolutely love this tea!!! I got it as a sample in a tea bag last year and have been hooked ever since!! I prefer it hot but recently tried it iced and its very good as well. This one is a definite keeper for me and my regular go to... I have a lot if others on hand and have to make myself try something different... It's smooth and rich and absolutely delish!

★★★★★

I haven't completely worked out my list of top ten all-time favorite Adagio teas just yet, but I'm pretty sure the Chestnut tea belongs on it. I love a beautiful black tea, and this one has such texture and personality. The chestnut finish is so rich and smooth - almost like peanut butter! It's flavorful and comforting. I would personally rank this tea higher than the equally if not more popular Hazelnut black, and also slightly above the Honeybush Hazelnut, though that is delightful in its own right, as well.

Similar to the hazelnut tea, but maybe a little more subtle. I like this with a bit of sugar as a dessert tea.

I have never had chestnuts. Ever. So I really wasn't sure what to expect from this tea. My roommate and I have used it in blends with good results, but I was curious to try it on its own. It's fantastic! Sweet, mellow, earthy, and smooth. it's everything I could wish for in a tea.

★★★★★

Wonderful, flavorful this teas taste is amplified by adding honey. I just love it.

★★★★★

This is such a comforting tea! The rich smell and taste are just wonderful (particularly with a bit of good honey and whiskey!).

★★★★★

I tried this and I am addicted! I have it every day and I missed it terribly when I went to re-order and it was out of stock. Although Adagio told me they would send my order when it was back in stock, I checked many times and when it was in stock, I had to place another order. What happened to the order I had? Maybe they didn't send it because I was to have free shipping?

I love this tea. The black base has a great, full flavour, and the sweet taste of what is meant to be the chestnut really lays well over it. Neither overwhelms the other, they simply compliment perfectly. I can taste a little of the chestnut flavour, but it was sweeter than I expected. This wasn't a disappointment, only a surprise. It's more of an afternoon tea for me than a morning tea. I prefer a stronger, darker Assam flavour in the morning, something closer to a rich coffee. A cup of this tea loves an extra bit of sweetener and a dash of cream but is perfectly drinkable all on its own. Definitely brew at boiling, and do not oversteep. I like a slightly heaping teaspoon and found that I could sneak out a second brewing if I overbrewed the next cup by an extra minute. The second was weaker, but the flavour was still present and worth the second steep, I felt, but I hate wasting leaves.

★★★☆☆

Just a sweet smoke black flavor tea. The Chest nut actually comes out as the tea cools though.

Not only does this smell delightfully nutty, it tastes delightfully nutty! So evocative of the holidays and the warmth of roasted chestnuts that it was perfect for a freakish May snowstorm.

★★★☆☆

As a fan of strong black teas, I was excited to try this at Christmastime. It smells wonderfully nutty and a bit smoky, just like roasting chestnuts, but I found the actual flavor to be a bit flat, too one-noted. That said, I've recently tried it as an iced tea and enjoyed it much more. Ice-cold and with a pinch of sugar, it's a delightful warm-weather drink.

★★★☆☆

It tastes like chestnut, but has a little more sweetness than I normally care for.

★★★☆☆

This was not too bad for a holiday tea, but it had a kind of artificial aftertaste.

★★★★★

It's an amazing flavor for the winter season!
I also like it with a little bit of milk in it, possibly almond milk.

★★★☆☆

Way over powering for me, if you really like chestnut may as well go for it!

★★★☆☆

I really loved this tea at first, but it got old fairly quickly. It was a good tea, but nothing extraordinary about it.

★★★★★

MY FIRST CUP TASTED ALMOST TOO SWEET.

A FEW DAYS LATER WHEN I BREWED MY SECOND POT IT TASTES EXCELLENT.

★★★★★

This tea is amazing. The aftertaste is the exact same feel that you get after eating nuts. It has all of the best taste of chestnut and is just a tea that I want to snuggle up with.

★★★★★

sweet yet has a hint of a 'good' tobacco taste. interesting and fun

★★★★☆

The other comments about it having a maple syrup flavor were spot on. It also has a distinctly nutty flavor as well. Interesting and sweet. Nothing wrong with it, just not as amazing as some of the others I have tried.

★★★★☆

I have no idea if the taste is accurate, as I have never eaten a chestnut, but it makes a great dessert tea. Warm and cozy, kind of caramel-y, and very sweet.

★★★★☆

This tea has a very warm, nutty flavor, but I find the chestnut flavors to overpower the tea itself unless I blend it with a plain or more mildly flavored tea. That having been said, though, it's very smooth and rich with a little bit of natural sweetness. I've been adding a bit of Assam or Adagio's sesame flavored tea to lighten the heaviness of the chestnut flavoring.

★★★☆☆

This tea had a great flavor and I look forward to having more of it in the future.

★★★★★

I love the Nut teas, and this one is wonderful! Rich and warm, best with brown sugar and milk. great cup on a cold morning!

★★★☆☆

This tea has an unpleasant aroma from bag to steeping, it reminds me of another tea I once tried, but can not recall its name.
The flavor is very dry and I know this sounds crazy but watered down. its just not for me.

★★★★☆

I really like the taste of this. It's a little bit different, but still incredibly pleasant and warm.

★★★★★

This is a nutty, sweet tea that tastes just like... a chestnut! elicious. I would order this one again.

★★★★★

I was skeptical when I got a sample of the chestnut tea in my order. However, it is now one of my favorite teas. So yummy - a perfect tea for fall and winter.

★★★★★

Best. Tea. Ever.
This has replaced morning coffee for me.
It is one of the smoothest black teas I've ever had, and just a really great way to wake up in the morning.

★★★★★

I ordered the sample size since so many of the fandom blends I was interested in incorporated this tea, and I wanted to 'test out' the flavor before committing to a whole bag. What a relaxing tea! I drank four teacups! The first two I drank plain, then in the rest of the teapot I added raw sugar and almond milk. The flavor isn't as bold as the hazelnut, it has a silky, subtle quality. I'm so glad I gave it a shot, I'm sure I'll be adding this into my own blends in the future.

★★★★★

I only got this tea on a whim as a free sample, but now it's one of my favorites. It is without a doubt the lightest, smoothest black tea I've ever had.

★★★★★

I love this tea! very different flavor but so good hot!

★★★★☆

Very rich flavor, caramel like. The smell is a bit off putting, but mellows once brewed.

★★★★★

My boyfriend said this tastes like syrup-soaked pancakes. I have to agree that it is just as yummy.

★★★☆☆

this one was a little bit potent for my taste but my son loved it.

★★★★★

One of my new favorites, second only to hazelnut! If you like nutty teas then you'll love this!
