A strong black tea. I can't seems to interpret what this flavor is exactly, because I don 't find it very chestnut-y, but it's nicely spiced and lightly sweet on it's own. It's a very warm tea and makes for a great morning tea for me.
Perfect for enjoying in front of an open fire on a cool night, in any season. A comforting reminder of the season of giving, perfect to share with a few close friends.

A strong black tea. I can't seems to interpret what this flavor is exactly, because I don 't find it very chestnut-y, but it's nicely spiced and lightly sweet on it's own. It's a very warm tea and makes for a great morning tea for me.
Rich, smooth, sweet, and nutty. Oddly reminiscent of a good bowl of oatmeal with brown sugar and butter.
Yummy. Deep and mellow.I drink mine with no sugar and a slash of milk.
Initially this tea makes me think of pancakes, husband felt the same way as well. The chestnut gets lost in the black if you drink it without sugar, but two packets of RAW does the trick, not quite 'nutty' but definitely reminds me of warm pancakes and syrup! Very tasty and strong just the way I like it!
This was the first nutty tea I ever tried and it was stronger than I expected, however it was very good and I was a little surprised that I liked it as much as I did!
Ehhh...the chestnut smells best before water is added. Then it just becomes black tea with a vague hint of chestnut. I was hoping for something richer and more long-lasting.
It smells like nuts covered in maple sugar! The tea isn't overly sweet (I'll admit that even though it smelled delicious, I was worried that the sweetness might overpower my tastebuds). There's a slight sweetness, but it's mostly a smooth, rich tea. It has almost a buttery/caramel aftertaste to it that makes breathing through your mouth a heavenly experience.
Not too notable. The overall flavor was hard to place and in a way.
This has a nice warm, christmas-y feeling to it. The flavor is rich and great as a morning tea :]
Reminds me of my favorite time of year! This is too good to be only seasonal!
A very nice, warm tea. It's somehow sweet without any sweetener in it.
This tea is really good! It has a wonderful aroma and it taste absolutely lovely. It's not really strong, and I don't think I'd be able to guess that it's chestnut flavored, but the flavor is just nice and rich .
Wouldn't drink this tea on it's own...but I blended it with some cream and gingerbread - made a very nice blend. :)
This tea has a great taste. Although, you should definitely infuse this one for about 6-8 minutes instead of the recommended 3 mins. The taste is very rich and smooth. The smell is not overwhelming and perfect for a cold day.
One of my all time favorite teas. It's really great for anyone looking for a festive little holiday gift for anyone with a penchant for tea or a love of chestnut.
Wonderful tea, warm and cozy. Inviting and sweet aroma and flavor. Would highly recommend it!
Looking forward to mixing this with some other teas - nice and nutty on its own, but I'll see what I can get up to with blends to make it even tastier!
This tea is very smooth, and very dry... and yes, it has a lot of nutty flavor! It smells great, both brewed and in the bag, but it also has strong flavor, unlike (from my experience) a lot of other flavor teas. Not quite as appealing to me as I thought it might be, but if you're looking for chestnut flavor, this tea will deliver.
I've never tasted a real chestnut, so I don't know if this is what they'd taste like. However, it's still good. I agree with the people who've said the tea tastes and smells a bit like maple syrup. It really does!
a good earthy taste for those that want it not bland and not too strong
Always a favorite, especially for the fall and winter! This uses Adagio's typical base for flavored black teas and adds a simple chestnut flavoring. no subtlety whatsoever. But in this particular case, the flavoring and base suit each other unusually well and it doesn't feel as though anything is lacking. I have this with a touch of sugar or sweetener.
I prefer to use chestnut to round out my chocolate blends and to add some extra nuttiness to just about everything. Really love it with tiger eye and toasted mate combined. It tastes sweet, almost a little not like a true chestnut but still it is great.
One of my favorite teas of all time. It's mellow and sweet flavour are complimented wonderfully by vanilla creamer. This is a perfect tea for around the holidays.
To me, this tea tastes like artificial maple oatmeal in a cup. While I love chestnuts and I love maple syrup, I'm not fond of this.
This tea is toasty and savory and nutty. While I don't personally have any memories of chestnuts during the holidays, I can certainly make some with this wonderfully warming tea.
Speaking as a person who does not really enjoy EATING nuts, I have to say, I love the taste of this one. It's so warm and soothing, perfect for curling up and all the other stereotypical associations.
I've never had a chestnut before, so I can't say whether or not it tastes like one. All I know is that it tastes nutty and buttery.
Good tea to blend with some of the others to create a warm and nutty flavor.
So delicious. It has a really strong smell and at first I thought I wasn't going to like it, but it is really delicious. It is already very sweet. I just add a bit of sugar and it is perfect.
it's delightful, rich, like christmas and happiness in a cup. i'm glad i went for the larger size!
This is one of my favorites. It's exactly what you want in your hand when you're sitting in front of the fire, trying to warm up from the harsh winter snow. Sweet. Nutty. Caramelly. Creamy. Perfect.
Too bitter! I like it in blends, and it smells divine, but on its own I can't stomach it.
Who would have thought? Not my favorite tea (Doctor Who's '9' by Cara McGee still holds that title) but this flavor was surprisingly good. It has enough savory bite to make it a good morning choice, but is easily softened by adding some milk and sugar.
It's... odd. Not good, not bad, just odd. More than anything it tastes like maple syrup. It's also really sweet, almost cloyingly sweet. Overall it's not for me.
its a perfect flavor to drink in this weather. 2-3 mins wd boiling water
The subtle sweetness and roasted overtones of chestnuts lend the tea a beguiling richness. As a fan of chestnuts I wished that the flavor had been more prominent but it was still a very enjoyable tea.
Chestnut is either #1 or #2 on my list (along with Earl Grey Moonlight). I got it in a Christmas sampler years ago, but it's the only one I ever reordered.
This one is my absolute favorite! It's available seasonally, but I would drink it year-round if I could! The chestnut flavor is a delight to the senses. LOVE!
Fantastic! Sweetness that hints at caramel and nutty! Very delicious.
A good solid black tea with definite notes of nuts and carmelized sugar. A delicious and somewhat unexpected take on the more expected almond or hazelnut teas, though the nut flavor is not as immediate as in those iterations. A bit of sugar brings out the sweet notes nicely and the nut flavorings compliment the body of the black tea quite well. Nice but not as memorable as some other blends, with nothing that marks the flavor as particularly seasonal or holiday-related for me.
I first tasted this in the stocking stuffer set and was hooked. It is absolutely divine.
This tastes very similar to the hazelnut blend, but I definitely don't think that's a bad thing!
If you like woody, nutty tea, you will enjoy this flavor.
not as addictive as earl grey, but this is wonderful.
I was given the holiday sampler for a gift, and to my surprise this was easily my favorite tea from the bunch. I love the chestnut flavor, and how rich and warm it seems.
Love this!! It has a mellow chestnut flavor but it has a good caffeine level and it's best on a chilly fall morning.
Very good. nutty and rich. Definitely makes me think of winter and sitting by the woodstove. I like it with one sugar, no milk.
I bought this tea, certain I would like it, but it doesn't seem to fit what I was hoping for. It's certainly not bad, just not what I expected. It'll take some getting used to in order for me to drink it all.
This tea has made my husband a tea lover. He has just tolerated tea for years. I gave him a cup of chestnut tea last winter and now, as far as he is concerned, this is the only kind of tea to drink. I always have to make sure we have a bag of chestnut tea in the cupboard. We only buy this in the 16 ounce size.
The tea smells pretty interesting - I'm not sure whether I like it or not. It doesn't exactly remind me of chestnuts, but it tastes alright.
