This tea was a complete surprise to me. I ordered it because I wanted to try a flavored tea and I love chestnuts. Really didn't think I would like it and wow was I wrong!! Such a great tea. So cozy tasting!! Will be ordering more so I always have some in the house.

Love this one! a friend turned me onto this when she gave them away as favours for her daughter's b-day party Just the smell alone will perk you up!! can't even describe the taste, just so delicious!!

I use chestnut tea in a couple blends, so I figured I better try it on its own. And this tea does not disappoint. It's pretty straightforward, as it tastes like a sweet, roasted chestnut. Now, if only it could mimic the texture of a chestnut, we'd be set! Haha! I agree with a review that said this is replacement for Adagio's caramel flavored tea, which falls short on flavor. I'll have to experiment with blending, but the chestnut tea should pretty much represent caramel flavor more effectively. Love it!

My absolute favorite flavor so far. The nuttiness was just perfect and so warm.

I received this as a sample, and while I wouldn't purchase it again, it is a really interesting earthy/nutty flavor.

Rich and nutty, excellent with milk and sugar: possibly better as a winter tea.

I tasted more hazelnut than chestnut, otherwise, this tea is delicious.

The smell from the bag is a nice mellow smell. Nice rich flavor. I could drink this everyday.

This tea blend is so inviting! It's sweet, nutty and hints at candies that are caramelized or syrupy in the flavors for me. But not in an overbearing kind of way. Also this brew can be enjoyed with or without the sugar. The tea tastes good no matter what is added on. It definitely works for a cozy Christmas blend, but I certainly could see myself drinking this daily. I'm putting this one in use for personal blends too!

Great tea. I love the smell of chestnut in the winter time. This tea tastes better when sweeten so match with the sweet smell of chestnut. Great pairing with Dorayaki cake.

This is such a good tea! Wasn't sure what i was expecting, but wow!

We LOVE the chestnut!!! It's pretty earthy but absolutely delicious. I drink it straight and my partner adds milk. I'm sure it would be good slightly sweetened too -- I intend to try it when I find where we hid the sugar bowl...

I have trouble with Adagio's flavored tea base, but this tea mostly works for me. It's still a bit harsh, especially if you over brew it, but it's tasty. The chestnut flavor is so warm and so nutty and kind of smokey. I really like it.

This one's best with milk and two spoons of sugar. It smells just like roasted chestnuts, even cold!

This tea is so fantastic I bought the sampler to hold me over while it's out of stock. I had my first taste of it in the xmas sampler set and I absolutely loved it. It has a smoky flavor that is deliciously chestnut-y in a way you wouldn't imagine a chestnut could be.

I feel like it's almost an insult to call this my 'mixer' tea but it is. I LOVE the chestnut tea so much that it goes into roughly every other cup of tea I make. It gives beautiful backbone to so many teas that need that extra boost and as I'm learning to blend I keep returning to chestnut as my secret and now not-so-secret weapon.

I wasn't sure if I was going to like this because chestnut seems like such a strange flavour for tea, but once I opened the bag I was pleasantly surprised by the lovely scent. The tea itself is nutty and slightly sweet. It's delicious on its own or with a little honey.

There simply cannot be a better flavor pairing for a winter's cup of tea than chesnut oil. This chestnut flavored tea is certain to one of my very favorites for a long time to come.

I ordered Chestnut tea from Adagio Teas for myself and also for a friend. Both of us loved the nutty flavor and aroma of the tea.
Highly recommended for those prefer nut-like flavored teas.

This is the most amazing tea, and is what led me to Adagio Teas' website. I had some at a Famous-Tearoom-Which-Shall-Not-Be-Named. They were marking up the price something terrible and only selling it seasonally, so I started searching around for the actual maker of the tea, and discovered it was Adagio.
I wouldn't necessarily describe the flavor as 'chestnut'. It has an almost maple scent and flavor to it, a completely natural (as in, not artificial) taste, and amazing balance. It is definitely a rich and hearty tea, satisfying alone or with cream and sugar. My all time favorite tea!

A lovely, rich tea-- I enjoy it on a cold morning just as much as a big cup of coffee. The flavor is deep and unique.

I really love the flavor of this tea. I am no tea expert, but the strength is perfect. It isn't overbearing and it's never too strong. The aftertaste leaves you with a whisper of the flavor--subtle yet strong enough to make you want to drink more. For me this is the perfect tea to relax to.

So warming and comforting. Perfect snuggle by the fire tea! Add a little amber rock sugar or cream and it's absolutely heavenly. I recommend this tea to everyone!

Smelled like maple syrup out of the bag, which really turned me off, but I went ahead and brewed it anyways. Very little taste, and what's there is bitter.

I LOVE the chestnut! With some honey and a bit of vanilla almond milk, this is one of my favorites. It smells amazing and is a really lovely black tea.

The taste wasn't what I expected. not awful, but not quite chestnut... almost a little bit like ginger. Perhaps I over steeped it, though.

After a co-worker shared this type of tea with me, I knew I absolutely had to purchase a bag for myself. It's gives me feelings of warmth and comfort. Most of all, it goes very well with cream and sugar.

I adore this tea. I had some steeping issues which left a strong bitterness at first, an I get a but wired after I drink it too. But I got better, and it is a lovely sweet strong tea that pairs perfectly with these freezing cold polar vortex days. :) A winter staple for sure.

Toasty, nutty and sweet with a maple like finish that lingers quite a while after the cup is gone. This makes a wonderful latte.

I didn't get the same natural sweetness everyone else was raving about with this sample. I actually found it a little bland, but maybe longer steepings will yield better results.

I didn't get flavors of Christmas, butterscotch, or maple syrup. All I got was cloying sweetness and overwhelming bitterness. I brewed this tea twice, for 4 minutes at 205 degrees both times. It was bitter both times, so I don't think the fault was in my brewing. I hope I just got a bad batch.

This is such an amazing tea. It is dark and woodsy without being overpowering. It almost has a sweet flavor and that just makes this the perfect cup of tea for me.

My new best tea! Love it anytime I am on the go! The smell is heavenly.

This is a fantastic tea for the winter. Definitely recommend it. The smell is also very fantastic.

My absolute favorite tea of all time! I like it brewed on the strong side, so I measure a bit generously and steep for 5 minutes (sometimes more). It should NOT be limited to just the holidays. I first ran across this tea at a local store that only carried it for the holidays. It was amazing. When I ran out, I searched the internet for this flavor and found it through amazon. Then I found adagio's direct site where I can order this wonderful tea year round. I drink it every day. It takes great cold, too.

This tea is just perfect with maple syrup and milk. Very strong nutty flavor like a good rich holiday dessert. Delicious!

Nutty, buttery, and perfect for Autumn and Winter. A sleeper hit!

This was just what I was looking for around Christmas time. Nutty and full flavored, yum.

My friend is an avid coffee drinker. During Christmas shopping in downtown Chicago we stopped in Adagio so I could buy myself a Christmas present. She took one sip of the Chestnut and said 'its like drinking Christmas in a cup. It just makes you feel so warm from the inside out!' From a coffee drinker I think that is a pretty great review!

I was a skeptic, but I added this tea on as a sampler after a recent purchase. Tonight, after the first sip, I can say I have been fully converted. Out of all the teas I received in my order, I think this is one I would reorder first.

Basic black with a slightly maple flavor. It doesn't read as traditionally chestnut as other brands, but it's really great to blend with.

Wish there were actual pieces of chestnut in it but it still has a nice roasted taste. I blend it with cream to smooth it out.

Such a strong flavor and smell! Absolutely wonderful! I got a small sample bag, and will definitely be getting a larger bag with my next order. I keep chasing my family around, making them smell the tea.

Maple syrup - that's what this reminds me of, with nutty undertones. Great as a breakfast tea.
