This tea sounded unique, so I went for it. I loved the smooth, slightly sweet taste. It is like vanilla, but with a little hint of a taste similar to a cashew or a macadamia nut. If you aren't used to a bit of sweetness in your tea, this might be a tad off-putting. But I'll enjoy this flavor as an occasional treat.
Love this!! Add some honey and it is so cozy and relaxing.
SO GOOD!!! I am not even exaggerating. A touch of evaporated milk is all it needs. Warm and inviting, the scent draws you in, and as you sip, the tea blankets your tongue in milky, nutty goodness. I will get it every year, it is so good! Get it while it lasts, people!
I was pleasantly surprised by this tea. I didn't know what to expect, never having had chestnuts, but I decided to get a sample of it as it was the last holiday tea I hadn't tried. And I really am enjoying it! It's a sort of sweet, nutty flavor that just tastes like the holidays. I would definitely recommend it!
smelled a bit artificial in the bag. tasted good with some cream and sugar but not too different from hazelnut.
This tea tastes like coffee to me and I don't like coffee. I have never tasted a roasted chestnut, so I had no idea what to expect. In all fairness though, I have to tell you that one of my cousins who has had roasted chestnuts loved it.
It is great although I'm not sure it tastes like chestnuts. It tastes like black bubble tea without the bubbles!
Tried it with milk and sugar. It smells very strongly of chestnut, but the taste is a lot weaker. Good tea overall.

If I could rate this tea higher, I would. I'm about to order a bigger bag and I just received this tea in the mail last night. I was blown away by some of the teas I sampled in my first shipment such as the Earl Gray Lavender, White Peach, and Jasmine yin hao, but to be completely honest this is the best tea I've ever had. It smells so sweet,very much like toffee candies and Christmas morning. It's good enough to drink on it's own, but with a little sugar and a dash of cream it goes to a new level it tastes like buttery pancakes with crushed chestnuts drizzled in maple syrup, this tea is over 9000... I can't make this up. Ok I'm done gushing.
If you are looking for a nutty flavored tea that is a bit different, try this. Perfect on its own, but I may try blending it with a bit of cream flavored tea.
As soon as you open the bag or tin, you can smell the maple syrup-like tones of the chestnut tea. Makes for a nice, hot winter treat for walking to school in the morning. C:
This one has a mild nut flavor, a little different than other nut flavored teas. I'm used to hazelnut or pecan flavor, more so in coffee than tea. Chestnut tea is a nice change of pace.
This was my first time trying this tea. I will definitely reorder. Very smooth with a nutty finish. Delicious!
My new favorite caffeinated tea! Smooth rich black tea with a hint of warm chestnut. Drank this with a little sugar but no cream.
A nice mild nutty flavor, almost like a light coffee, really good with sugar which highlights the sweetness. Makes a good Breakfast tea.
I love, love, love this tea. who knew that chestnuts had such a wealth of flavor? It's nutty and sweet all on its own (although I do add a scoop of rock sugar just because). I like to enhance it with either a little milk or a splash of honey whiskey. The flavors play very nicely with each other.
This is a wonderful nutty blend. I use cream in it and a little bit of sweetener. Definitely one of my favorites and is one I reorder!

Nice nutty flavor, but not too overpowering. I added a dab of honey, which I don't normally do, but it was smooth not too sweet.
This tea has a really nice nutty caramel flavor that, mixed with a dollop of almond milk and some agave nectar, is the perfect way to relax post-festive holiday meal. This one was a big hit with my boyfriend and sister, so I expect we'll be reordering this one again soon. (:
This is delicious! If you like pancakes, you gotta try this! It's a medium bodied black tea with warm maple flavors. It's not exactly chestnut flavored, but I can see how it might be somewhat reminiscent of roasted chestnuts. I remember buying chestnuts from street vendors in Japan in January and so I'd say this tea is more reflective of the roasting chestnut aroma rather than the taste. Nevertheless, it is truly a nostalgic tea.
A unique tasting tea. The chestnut aroma is wonderful. I add a bit of cream and a touch of sugar. I also blend it with other teas for a more complex flavor.
This tea is quite nice with milk and sugar. I am not sure that I would describe the flavor as chestnut though...more of a caramel, vanilla-nut. Semi-artificial tasting. Nice treat for the holidays but I probably would not drink it year round.
Good flavor but a remarkably overpowering scent. It's not a nutty scent, either, but more of a sweet, syrupy one. It tastes nice, but the smell is just too much for me to get past to enjoy a cup.

I had this iced in the store this summer, when it was not even available for purchase yet! I loved its nuttiness and warmth. I think it would be amazing hot but I am a big fan of nutty tea flavors so this works well cold too.
it was earthy and full-bodied, which was nice. my husband thought it smelled like meat--the umami notes are there, but I didn't notice any meaty taste or smell. very good, actually
This tea is my favorite. When I take it to go, people ask 'What are you drinking?' !!! I had walked by the tea pot at the store several times and finally gave it a try. WOW !!! I thought I already had my favorite. It is worth the try, I will have to order lots before it is gone for the season.

This is basically just a black tea. I love black tea, but I was expecting more of a chestnut flavor. It does have a really nice smell though.
When I want a flavored tea, I typically go for vanilla, but this chestnut tea is my new favorite (and a nice alternative for people who already like Adagio's vanilla tea): aromatic, rich, soothing. The chestnut flavor is clearly discernible without being overwhelming. Especially good with milk and sugar. Wish it came in a decaf version so I could drink it in the evenings!
To my surprise, I love this tea! It's rich and comforting and smooth, perfect for winter. (In fact, it's a limited-time tea. I sure hope it comes back again next winter!)

The smell reminds me of pecan pie. The flavor not so much. Very light flavor, not as bold as I thought it would be from the smell in the cup.
I'm not a big fan of the scent of this tea in the bag but it brewed up milder. It was good tea, sweet and slightly astringent.
I purchased this tea before and I can't believe I didn't give it a review! It is so good! Smells just like freshly roasted chestnuts. Tastes smooth and nutty and... just like freshly roasted chestnuts! A flavor I don't think a lot of people actually know, as freshly roasted chestnuts are hard to come by! I got this in both loose leaf and bags!
