I really liked this one. Kinda felt like I needed to be sitting in front of a fire while drinking it.

Chestnut flavor doesn't come through really until the tea cools. My one gripe with this tea has been the same one with the blends I've tried it in, and that there's this unpleasantly bitter edge to it that doesn't really go away completely. I was able to mellow it out with some honey and make it pretty good, but it's still a tiny bit there.

This tea is ALL OF THE YES. Rich, bold, delicious, comfort in a cup. Sweet, but not overwhelmingly so. Yummy by itself or with a splash of milk.

This tea has a great nutty flavor. Its smooth and has very little sweetness.

This tea has a really great flavor- but is really strong. I actually prefer it mixed with similar tasting chai teas :)

Not quite what I expected. I'm not a real fan of black teas. This would be fantastic in the Rooibos teas. I have to watch my caffeine intake as well as oxalates that can produce kidney stones as well as the tannins that are in the black teas. Think about putting the chestnut flavor in a Rooibos tea. I would definitely purchase it.

I have become completely addicted to this tea, so fraking good.

Just a great cup of tea. Rich taste and smells wonderful.

This tea is not for me. The scent is overpowering, and it just upsets my stomach. However, my friends don't find it as offensive, so it's probably just me.

One of my favorite of the flavors section. And my favorite of the holidays teas. Is rich, nutty and bold. This does well iced and hot, with or without sweetener, and a dash of cream. Love this tea!

This is the first chestnut tea I have liked. Other chestnut teas have not had the same flavor.

I didn't expect the flavor to come out so strong in this tea. That's not a bad thing, it tastes amazing without being overpowering.

I've been trying out all the 'nutty' flavored black teas-- almond, hazelnut and now, chestnut. I think I liked it a bit more than hazelnut, but a bit less than almond. Very good as an afternoon go-to tea.

I bought this for a birthday gift. It was very appreciated.

Too much maple. Tasted fake. I love chestnuts but I couldn't get past the maple flavor.

I honestly had no idea what to expect from a chestnut-flavored tea, especially given the unusual flavor Adagio's hazelnut teas seem to have. However, I was extremely pleasantly surprised to find this is absolutely delicious. I'll be using it as a base in many of my blends going forward. It's wonderful on its own, very rich and warm, and absolutely fantastic with cream and sugar. A !

Love this tea!! It has a great nutty-ness to it, but isn't too strong.

Rich nutty flavor. I'm happy that I tried this tea, I don't regret it. :) I drink it with a splash of half and half and a pinch of stevia. I think this has become one of my favorite teas!

I've been drinking this tea for several months now, and I've revised my opinion upward, from good to great. It's smooth, has a very good chestnut flavor, is fairly full-bodied, and is not very tannic at all. To get the degree of chestnut aroma and flavor I want, I use two very rounded teaspoons per 8 oz. cup. I strongly recommend trying this to experience the full potential of this tea. I should add that I detect another aroma and flavor besides chestnut: burnt brown sugar. I really like that that. I've experimented with different temperatures and brewing times, and 4-5 minutes, 200 degrees is what I've settled on. I've found that if one goes up to a full boil, noticeably more tannins will be released.

A bit too 'nutty' for me. If you absolutely can't get enough chestnuts, then you'll love this tea.

This tea tastes like pralined chestnuts even without sugar. Not in my top ten list but very nice for a time when you want something 'desserty.'

I have never had chestnut before so I ordered this on a whim to try it. Just opening it I could tell I was going to love this. It is a very sweet, nutty smell and it brews up the same. A little sugar really pulled out the flavors. So delicious it almost replaces hazelnut as my favorite tea...almost.

Sort of disappointed in this one. It reminds me of roasted chestnuts but only in the texture. the flavor doesn't come through well.

Great strong rich tasting, with a touch of winter warmth.

Very warm and cozy tea, has a great smell and flavor. Perfect for the holiday season.

This was too sweet for me. I liked it for cold days. It tastes really good with honey and cream. It is a good tea, just doesn't fit my taste. It was a good tea to combine with plain black tea.

This is my favorite tea. The rich flavor alleviates any craving I might have for coffee.

A nice black tea for the holidays. Reminds me of winter. Not too much flavoring, just the right amount. Still doesn't beat Hazelnut though!

Better than expected! I accidentally oversteeped it a couple of times and it didn't ruin the flavor at all.

I was at first a bit surprised by the taste - the chestnut is quite noticeable. But by the second time I grew to like it very much. I don't usually use milk or sugar, but this could stand up to either. I'm looking forward to warmer weather to see what it tastes like iced.

Mild black tea with a nutty flavor and caramel finish. Nice for the morning and good with or without honey and milk.

It's the best black tea I've had in a long time. Complex and rich in flavor. It's great with cream or milk! I highly recommend it for the rich nutty flavor -- and yes it smells much stronger than it really is. Make sure to steep it for 3-5 minutes for a rich flavor!

I love this, it smells wonderful and it a touch sweet, really nice with cream. I always run out of this first.

This was the first tea I tried from Adagio and I fell in love with it. Every time I have a cup, I think of a nice cozy winter. The roasted chestnut flavor really comes through but doesn't make it heavy and it's all around wonderful.

Cheeestnuuuts roasting on an open fire. So smooth, so good!

This tea was very nice in aroma but not great on flavor

I'm not even a big fan of flavored teas - I like to taste TEA, you know? - but this is terrific. The nuttiness just works. I add genmai or coffee sometimes.

This is a delicious tea. I usually steep it for a good five minutes for its rich, creamy flavor.

A bit too woody for me, but this tea leaves no subtlety in its flavor.

I quite enjoyed this as a change of pace. I couldn't drink it every day, it's quite heavy on flavor.

My mom really liked this. It wasn't sweet enough for me but it is on my mom's buy list.

I got this tea to blend with others and it definitely works with other teas!

I'm torn between rating this 'OK' and 'bad,' but I guess I'd say 'OK, if you like that sort of thing.' I love chestnuts, but in tea it just didn't work for me. It did have interesting earthy overtones ('tho not very chestnut to my tastes), but then it dragged on and I didn't want it to do so. However, I don't like most flavored teas (with the exception of coconut), so it should not be surprising. If you like flavored teas, try a sample. Adagio will happily provide you with more if you like it.

The scent upon opening the container really reminds me of chestnuts. Once brewed, the tea is smooth with a subtle hint of chestnut. Very pleasant!
