Warm and toasty, a great fall or winter black tea.
Perfect for enjoying in front of an open fire on a cool night, in any season. A comforting reminder of the season of giving, perfect to share with a few close friends.

Warm and toasty, a great fall or winter black tea.
There is an unexpected maple aroma a touch of sweetener can enhance further. Perfect Fall cup & into the Holidays. This reminds me of a beloved Fandom Tea that was taken down for copyright. I made a killer Latte with this sample packet. YUM. going on my favorites list. I sampled this Tea as part of the CommuniTEA December box. ( updated 2023)
I'm not a chestnut fan. While the aroma of the tea is awesome, the taste for me is not. Black, it's undrinkable. I added creamer and it was better. Someone added a touch of vanilla to theirs so I tried that also. It was the same as adding creamer, okay. I would drink this if it was offered, but I will not be getting more.
A rich, deep, flavorful tea, slightly nutty and sweet. This has been one of my favorites for a while! It has a nice balance and boldness that reminds me of dark chocolate.
I very much enjoyed this tea. It was so yummy. Though I can't say if it tastes like chestnuts as I have never tried them.
Update: I tried the tea with a bit of milk and monk fruit sweetener. It's not bad but I prefer it without these additions.
There’s an unexpected maple aroma to this tea that tells my brain it should taste sweeter than it is. Though there is a subtle sweet note (which a touch of sweetener can enhance) to the tea, the brew is primarily a black tea with a nice nutty touch to it. I’m not overly familiar with the flavor of chestnuts, so I can’t say how accurate the flavor is, but there’s a definite nuttiness that works well with the black tea and adds richness. Though this tea can work well in a blend, the maple aroma plays with my mind enough that I can’t see myself drinking this tea on a regular basis. (3-5 minutes @ 212F)
No need to validate this tea too much, it just wasn't that special. Maybe I over brewed, not sure, but there was definitely bitterness and the nut flavor was surprisingly weak. I had high hopes since it seems beloved by others, and it smelled interesting. But, the chestnut appears to have ghosted my cup, and I'm left with plain black tea. :(
I really enjoyed this blend, so happy I decided to stay her, this has been a great start to the month, the chestnut flavor is one of the best I have ever had.
It's my new favorite! I love the scent and a warm, cozy flavor
Ah, the smell of warm chestnuts, this has been my go to fall/winter tea for 2 years. I brew a cup first thing in the morning - when I still have the day to myself - and sip and enjoy! Recently my husband - a life long coffee drinker tried this tea - and he's now a chestnut tea convert. Truly enjoyable.
Definitely taste like roasted chestnut! In my personal opinion I think it would be great during Christmas time
Light and nutty, goes well with a splash of creamer or fine on its own
I really enjoyed this tea. It feels very appropriate for winter and the holidays, without being too heavily spiced.
This tea has a great toasted nut flavor. I love it with milk, it taste exactly how it smells. This tea is a favorite!
I was looking for a replacement for my favorite discontinued tea from David'sTeas. This one is even better!! I add a splash of milk and enjoy...buy it by the bag full!!!
Love this tea! Perfect substitute for coffee. Add a little extra for more strength
This is my wife's favorite tea. As soon as she even opens the last 16oz. bag in the house - she tells me, 'We're getting low!'. LOL. It is her BFF each and every morning. Love the quality and the service. Now onto the order before I get in trouble...
I was surprised by this tea when I tried it, haven't had something like it before. It's good; nutty, bitter, with a slight sweetness that is more earthy than saccharine. I will dig into it more this fall.
My all-time favorite tea. The flavor is mild, a little smokey, nutty, and absolutely delicious. I am never out of this tea.
My new favorite, especially first thing in the morning. Enjoy with milk or cream. Delightful with or without a 1/4 tsp. of sugar. A smooth cup of tea.
Very robust taste, it taste like an air freshener scent to me which is very odd but it’s not bad.
This Chestnut tea literally tastes like Christmas. I loved it from the first cup. I added 1tsp of Rock Sugar Crystals and a fair amount of real cream. Don't be afraid of real cream, it's a health food.
One of my all time favorite Adagio teas, the scent is reminiscent of Rabbit Tobacco, a plant that we used to chew the leaves of when we were kids growing up in Arkansas. But the taste is so unique that it's hard to describe. I just love it black or with a shot of creamer.
I don’t know what a chestnut tastes like but this tea tastes kind of like caramel to me. Good with a bit of honey. A good tea to add to your fall/winter rotation.
This was surprisingly delicious. I don't really like chestnuts in general, but this flavor is excellent. Getting a giant bin of it to put in my regular rotation when I want a nutty tea.
I prefer strong tea so I usually brew black teas for 5-8 min, but this tea oversteeps faster than I anticipated. However, once I adjusted the brewing time to 4 min, it's delicious and smooth. Reminds me of the flavor of boba :)
This tea is absolutely delicious. It has a nice rounded, earthy, nutty flavor. It's delicious black or with a bit of cream. Add a bit of tubinado sugar and it's heavenly.
Oh man, this tea is amazing! It’s got a wonderful, smooth nutty flavor and has become my new favorite tea. Highly recommend!
My favorite!
The fragrance and taste are wonderful.
It stands up to the honey, milk, and dried orange slice I put in it.
Probably my favorite tea for winter or stormy days. Robust but not overpowering. Great tea to sit and watch inclement weather.
One of my favorite flavored black teas. It's a little sweet and a very full-bodied, nutty taste. Perfect if you want something flavored, but simple.
This tea has a strong smoky sort of bouquet and taste that is just not to my liking. I have tried different steep times and even mixing a little with one of my preferred teas, but I find the chestnut flavor wins out. It might be just right for someone who enjoys a heavier flavor akin to pipe tobacco, but it is not right for me.
This has a strong nutty flavor that goes well with milk. Very comforting and earthy for a cold day.
I love the toasty warm and comforting chestnut flavor as part of a cozy ensemble of flavors, but on it's own it definitely needs some sweetener and milk. Best with sugar or chocolate honey. Overall very reminiscent of coffee, really.
Wow, this one smells so good! I didn't know what to expect, but I really liked it and it's very delicious with creamer.
A friend suggested this tea to me and I am so glad she did. This is my favorite black tea from Adagio that I have tried so far. Nutty and delicious. Highly recommend.
A nice Christmas tea! Earthy and nutty flavor. My family liked it
This is best chestnut tea I've tried, by far. It captures the chestnut essence completely and I'm hooked!
I really loved this nutty flavor of chestnut tea. I added a little agave and cream and it was perfect. This is one I would definitely purchase again and keep in my stash!
This is really good blended with other flavors too. Adds a delicious nutty undertone.
Love the nutty flavor & the small tin it came in is great. Tin keeps tea fresh & is much easier to open/close than the bags
Hands down my absolute favorite tea. I’ve already got my brother and 2 of my friends hooked on this as their favorite teas as well! Highly recommend everyone try this.
A decent earthy tea that is nice for the holidays. On it’s own it is a bit bitter, but with added honey it improves
Love this blend. Shared it with many friends who love it as well.
Purchased many times for myself and as gifts.
This has an interesting flavor - I'm not sure I like it, but it is interesting. I did like the smell a lot, and I don't dislike it. I guess I'm just not a chestnut person. But it did start to grow on me.
Nice nutty winter flavor. It is a strong scent and flavor but is very good. It’s different then a usual sweeter flavored tea. Reminds me of winter!
I got this tea in a holiday pack. It was different than most teas I had. While there is some bitterness the taste is quite exquisite and goes a long way with some sweetener and milk. It becomes very rich. I still have a tin, but snagged a big bag. You can't have this one all the time, but it's so great to come back to. very good and different tea. Try it out and see if it's for you.
Heavily flavored and very good. NO artificial flavor. I prefer unflavored teas but thought I would give this a try. Nice!
I love chestnuts, and this tea smells like everything I ever want. Tastes and smells like the tea they use at Boba tea shops, which I'm also obsessed with.
CommuniTEA portion: steeped at 195 for 3 minutes. Nice smooth black tea with subtle chestnut notes. Enjoyed more than I initially thought. Lovely sip.
Wasn't looking forward to this one. Love chestnuts, but hated this tea when I ordered a sample a few years back. Perhaps I oversteeped last time, because it was thoroughly enjoyable. It definitely has a roasted nutty taste, but is not at all bitter. A pleasant surprise.
