I LOVED this tea. It was unexpectedly tasty. It was warm and cozy and literally made me feel like I was starting my morning with a hug. The nutty aroma was just perfect for a slight fall chill in the air. Perfectly satisfying for an autumn cup of tea.

I didn't expect to love this tea as much as I do. I'm a big fan of the hazelnut tea, so I gave this one a try. I blew through my sample right away. Now I can't decide which I like more!

My all time favorite tea, smells almost maple-ly. Good iced or hot with cream and sugar. A must buy for self or as a gift.

I love the mellow nutty flavor of this tea. It’s mild enough to mix with other teas for a customized blend.

A delicious nutty black tea. It's smooth and tastes great blended with other teas. I don't think it tastes like a roasted chestnut...they taste like a mellow sweet potato and I don't taste that.

Really enjoy this tea! If you like hazelnut flavors, but need a change, this is a great alternative

This taste is good for syrup, and it is also good for iced milk tea with cold milk and ice cubes in the hot summer.

I really like this tea, despite the fact that it's not really like chestnut, more a brown sugar aroma, and taste (no sweetness, though, which is good).

this tea is really great! It almost tastes chocolatey, similar to a stronger 'monk's blend' tea. I loved it so much that I ordered more!

I absolutely love this tea! A toasty, nutty, sweet black tea that is perfectly delicious on its own or rounded out with a splash of milk and maple syrup to add a hint of sweetness.

My sister had me try this flavor and I loved it so placed an order. I am now placing a second order for this flavor as I really enjoy my afternoon with a cup or two of the chestnut tea.

Not my favorite tea by any measure, it doesn't have much in the way of flavor profile or complexity.

I like to add oat milk to the tea. I know my dad really loves the blend (this was his recommendation).

This is actually my number one flavor sometimes to switch it up I’ll blend with fauns comfort and I’ll be in heaven.

I liked this tea initially but there is something about the flavor that eventually put me off. It leaves a really artificial after taste.

Sweet flavor just like a roasted chestnut. I enjoy it with Silk vanilla creamer. A nice winter brew.

One of my favorite chestnut tea I’ve tried. Love Chestnut tea and have had quite a few disappointing ones but this one is a keeper.

I don't think the plain chestnut is for me, imho works much better in a blench (I think the reason I originally tried it out was because it was an ingredient in one of the holiday special teas)

This is a nice one to have during the holiday season. I'd say the flavor is medium-strength--not too strong, but not subtle either. Pairs nicely with Chocolate Truffle (well, what doesn't?).

This was one of many smaller sized bags I purchased to try in my attempts to broaden my flavor profiles in my tea cabinet. And I can honestly say, Chestnut will be in regular rotation. Very pleased with this tea.

This is my favorite tea! I enjoy this tea with some oat milk and it’s perfect.

Smooth and full-bodied, lightly sweet and warming, with a rich black tea base to round it out. I've enjoyed this one.

Not a memorable flavor, sad to say that after a year of this blend on my wishlist it tastes of a more milder version of maple creme oolong
★★★☆☆
Very strong chestnut flavour! Perhaps as a component of blends, it adds something, but as a standalone tea, use much less than you would on, say, Cream or Vanilla.
Update: my sister that loves stronger teas adores this. If you like stronger flavours, this may be for you!

Chestnuts roasting on an open fire...a must have for the holidays. A very pleasant nutty strong taste, by itself or add a little cinnamon. I also detect slight note of maple. I have never had a chestnut, but i love this tea.
★★★★★
The aroma of the leaves and tea is very maple-y. However, the final results tastes distinctly of chestnuts. Reminds me of chestnut lattes you can get around the holidays. Tastes best with creamer.

I wanted to try something different. I read the reviews from a few adagio tea folks, well I am sorry but this tea was absolutely terrible, I love the aroma of the dry tea and even somewhat of the steep but it was absolutely undrinkable I had one sip and threw the rest out.A waste of money in my option.
★★★☆☆
The tea itself is feels like it is missing something, possibly could be completed by cream and sugar. The chestnut aroma is very pleasant, translates delicately to the flavour profile. It does taste a touch astringent as it cools.

I wish Adagio still sent little samples with your order, because Chestnut would never have been on my radar had I not tasted it in a sample. This is such a nice fall/holiday tea - smooth and pleasant, reminds me of the smell of roasting chestnut vendors near Central Park from my childhood.

A new favorite! This tea has a very strong but pleasant aroma. The first thought that came to mind flavor wise is black tapioca pearls or boba tea with a strong maple syrup fragrance. I'd say an interesting acquired taste type of tea but a personal favorite!

Not my cup of tea - no pun intended. I did not care for this one bit. It is an acquired flavor. Much better when mixed with another tea.

I find this tea to have a warm and nutty flavor profile. It tastes like it will go well with sweetened milk, though its just as great on its own.

I thought I had tried this before but after tasting it I wasn’t sure. Upon opening the aroma was cloyingly sweet so I was a bit wary. After a 2 minute steep I could smell the toasty, nutty aroma. I added a dash of plain cream and it was delicious. I’m not sure if it tastes like a chestnut or not, as I’ve never had one, but it was still a good cup. It held up to a good second steep too. There was less sweetness and a bit more nuttiness to this cup, which was a 3.5 minute steep. This seems to be one I’d enjoy on cold mornings with breakfast. Id buy it again. (190° for 2/3.5 minutes)

As a chestnut fan, this became a fast favorite and it's still a favorite! It has a delightful taste of warm roasted chestnuts! It was an easy tea to slip into my rotation after the holidays and a great one to blend with adding a warm nutty flavor.
My CT packet had 2 g/ 2 tsp of dark and wonderfully aromatic tea leaves. Brewed 10 oz. at 208*F for 3 min. A sweetner add of agave boosted the nutty flavor in the caramel colored liquor. The delicious chestnut taste held well in a 6 oz. resteep too. Happy holiday sipping! And anytime really!

Overbrewed a bit, so that's definitely responsible for some of the bitterness I'm getting, but even accounting for that this tea just wasn't quite a win. It smells amazing, nutty and maple-y, but almost none of that comes through in actual flavor. I'd try it again if someone offered it to me, and if you really like maple flavors I'd recommend it, but I'll give it a miss.

The dry tea had an aroma slightly nutty but mostly black tea. 2 min @ 160. I've never had chestnut to be able to compare the flavor. I could taste something, but not any nut that I'm familiar with. No bitterness, just a mild black tea flavor.

I have never had a chestnut before, though I may need to rethink that after this tea. The smell from the package was amazing and while that did not translate into the taste, the tea itself was a nice stout black tea with nutty and almost caramel-like flavor. I tried it both plain and with cream/sugar and enjoyed it both ways.

Chestnuts roasted on an open fire... and that is the smell that reach me when I open my communiTEA packet. Once brewed, the mild flavor of chestnuts pairs well with the bold flavor of the black tea. Adding a bit of sweetener reduces the astringency and brings forward the chestnut flavor to the front. Once you drink your second cup, you are singing Christmas carols.

This tea screams chestnut at you, I wish it was a little bit more mellow. It's still good and seems great for fall.
