Classic for my partner and I, we always have to have some in the house. This is the first tea I bought the big bag for, we love it that much

By far my favorite breakfast tea. The sweet smell of chestnut in the morning starts my day off right. I usually steep for 4 minutes.

This is my new go-to in the mornings. I don't usually add anything to my teas, and this tea can go with or without milk. I like how nutty it taste!

★★★★★

Can’t get enough! My favorite morning tea (: try it. And you can’t go wrong. I just keep refilling my tin!

I love this tea! It's so nutty and rich. I've had it in a few other tea blends and trying it alone made me realize it's why I like those blends to begin with.

Nutty and aromatic! A go-to during the holidays, but great any time.

I quite enjoyed this as a cold brew. It had a nice nutty flavor and a strong tea base, and it made a great second jar when I resteeped it (which is always a bonus for me). I'm not sure I'd want to drink it every day, but it really was quite good.

★★★★★

Honestly one of my all-time favorites, especially in colder weather. The nutty notes make it feel perfectly warm and cozy, and adding a splash of cream is like getting a hug from your favorite person.

★★★★★

I wasn't sure if I was going to like this, as I am not a fan of things like hazelnut creamer, but this tea changed my mind and was a perfect wintery addition.

★★★★☆

This tea is dark and earthy. It's definitely unusual compared to the regular fruity and dessert-y flavored teas. I can't wait to serve it to friends.

★★★★★

I really enjoyed this tea, great flavor. Be warned, if it is over steeped it can get VERY bitter. The first time, be sure to taste often as you steep to find the right time for you. I like my tea a little strong so about 5 min. was about right, I tried 6 and it was nearly undrinkable. I may have to experiment a little more (I only had the sample pack). UPDATE: After getting a full bag I dialed back the time and made sure the tsp. is a little light, this gave the best flavor for me. The text box for steeping time wouldn't let me put in half minutes so: 3 1/2 minutes @ 212

★★★★★

I found the flavor very smooth. It was just a great taste altogether. I would purchase this tea again.

★★★★★

I put milk in sugar in it, it was good but a bit too malty at first. So I added a bit of sweet creamer and that made it perfect! It tastes like brown sugar boba.

This is soooo tasty and cozy. It took me a couple cups to realize what it reminded me of, but with honey and some half and half, it tastes a lot like a hot version of brown sugar boba milk tea. So so good!

This is the best nut tea offering adagio has to offer out of the other 3. There's no maple in the blend, but the scent of the tea does have a distinct sweet maple-y scent.

I noticed the most recent bag i had seemed to taste a bit more bitter by itself than i remembered, but a bit of honey will do wonders for bringing out the flavor of this tea regardless if this was a bad batch or not.

This was my first favorite flavored black tea. Chestnut is still a favorite, especially in blends. I first tried it in the Stocking Stuffers set.

This tea has become one of my favorites. This has a good nutty flavor without being overpowering

Upon opening the bag, a very subtle aroma of sweet roasted chestnuts wafted out. It was very mild, but pleasant. After brewing, the first sip was a bit disappointing. The chestnut flavor was almost indistinguishable. However, each following sip seemed a bit stronger, until after four or five sips when the maximum flavor seemed to have developed. It is lovely! It's not overwhelming, but it's definitely there, and the chestnut flavor compliments the black tea perfectly. As I finished the cup, I realized it reminded me of the few times we were able to find chestnuts during the holiday season, and roasted them in the oven. It's almost a candied nut flavor, but without the extra spices. I really like this, though it's a bit understated for my tastes.

The perfect nutty tea! I blend this with cream to make my signature Christmas tea. This tea is warm and decadent with just the right amount of nutty flavor. It's different from the normal hazelnut.

★☆☆☆☆

Bad batch of chestnut, nothing at all like years past. Very high tannin flavor. Dispite following brew instructions, this was lip puckering ly start. Even with cream and sweetener it was hard to cut through the tannins. I would advise against this one as I think there was a manufacturing defect.

I was concerned at first reading the reviews that said the chestnut flavor could be bolder but I really enjoyed this as is - it won't punch you in the mouth with chestnut but is still very present and when I tried it the second time with a touch of honey, it really brought the flavor around. Excellent blend, will definitely purchase again.

★★★★☆

A very pleasant cup of tea with hints of maple. I was hoping for more of a toasted/nutty taste/prominent roasted chestnut flavor, but I may just try combining this tea with another to achieve that.

★★★★☆

This tea has a somewhat smokey flavor with the expected nuttiness. It gets bitter fast if you oversteep, so be careful to not forget about it when you're making this one.

★☆☆☆☆

I really don't like this at all. It's the first tea from Adagio that I haven't liked. The flavor tastes artificial and the smell is way too strong, and it's not really reminiscent of chestnuts.

★★★★☆

This is a good tea - I like to mix a pinch of the chestnut in with my assam harmony to harmonize with the malty flavors.

sweet yet bold! it has such a nice, cozy taste and it’s naturally sweet so I don’t have to add sugar. One of my favorite teas, really good with a little bit of milk too.

Earthy and subtle. Really enjoyed this in my rotation

Very rich! Tastes like brown sugar to me. If you're in the mood for it, it's perfect, but can be overwhelming. Not much depth beyond the flavoring. I don't taste a difference between the chestnut tea and the hazelnut tea, tbh. Great with milk. I don't recommend combining it with a smoky tea, comes out tasting of barbeque sauce. If you store it in a tin, that tin will smell like brown sugar ever after, but I haven't noticed any flavor transfer so far.
Time is approximate. Doesn't really hold up past one steep.

Adagio Chestnut Tea is my idea of comfort in a cup… it is my all time favorite when made hot with cream. I love it and highly recommend!

My favorite tea of all time!! I make this tea using water that has been brought to a boil then cooled for about 1 minute. Steep time is a minimum of 2 minutes (I like my tea strong) I ad honey and half and half cream and it is wonderful. Great for breakfast or just a nice afternoon pick me up.

Love at first sip. Slightly sweet, nutty flavor, a somewhat syrupy taste. Delicious hot or cold, with or without any sweetener. I think this would also be great to blend with other teas.

Still my fave

update 11/23: still probably my favorite flavored black adagio tea. Stunning. (Second only to the blend my friend made me with this and caramel & cardamom seeds, 'Snowy Walk in Central Park' which I really, really recommend.)

one of my all time favorites. warm, nutty, smooth, really delicious. a friend put it in a blend for me with caramel and bourbon and i love that too but I found that this flavor alone is really satisfying. a little sugar and don't oversteep. Great for fall/winter afternoons.

This is my absolute FAVORITE tea! I had purchased this tea from a local tea shop for years. She moved out of state and I was horrified I wouldn’t be able to get my tea anymore. She told me where she got it from and I’ve been an Adagio fan ever since. I let it steep all day in my infuser mug. The stronger the better. Love! Love! Love!

When I opened the CT packet, the chestnut scent was very strong, but warm and pleasing. This carried over into the flavor of the tea once I brewed it. I can definitely see why it's a CT favorite! Brewed at 212 for 4 minutes with 1 packet of Splenda.

Very strong toasted chestnut flavor. Almost overpowering, but I like it. Good for the holiday season.

Has just a tad of chestnut taste, but tons of the smell. It will definately be on my rotation. Will gladly buy again.

★★★★★

A longtime standby for me. This tea does not feel 'flavored' like many other teas in the category, but the chestnut blends in beautifully with the flavor of the black tea to create a warm and well-rounded cup. Great with a splash of milk.

Creamy and candy-smelling. Use a lot of cream and sugar for this one.

This is one of my standby choices in autumn and winter. It's a proper strong tea, with a nice warm nutty flavor lacing it. It's a flavored tea, but don't let that profile turn you off if that isn't your typical wheelhouse - it's a full black tea first and foremost.
