I've ordered this tea before, and it's one of my favorites. I always add heavy whipping cream and sweetener, so it has an almost pie-like taste. I let steep for three mins, add my cream, and continue to let the tea steep while I drink it. Perfect for curling up around the fire!

I got this tea because I love the hazelnut black tea. The chestnut is warm and comforting for a cold day and perfect with just a little milk.

Okay, yea, this one is very good. I wish they made a decaf for evening drinking, or maybe a chestnut honeybush or something. It is very roasty and nutty and pretty mapley. I drink it black, sometimes with honey. Recommended.

I love this tea during the holiday season. It has a bold nuttiness that almost tastes a little maple-y. I have enjoyed mixing it with cream and caramel black teas.
★★★★☆
This tea is pretty good although not my favorite. I thought I would like the nutty flavor but to me it just tastes bitter. Still enjoyable though, especially with some milk added.

I did not know what to expect from this tea. I was so happy that this tea is very delicious.

This remains one of the biggest surprises that I never thought I was going to like. I got this tea in a holiday sampler a few years ago, and it ended up being my favorite by far! I keep a bag at work, and the smell alone brings people to my desk to see what I'm drinking!

This is my first cup of chestnut and I'm already going to order more! Upfront you get a smooth black tea with a strong aroma of nutty vanilla in the nose with the same taste that hesitates until the back of the tongue.

I actually don't drink this by itself that often. I like a bit more variety in flavors with my teas so I mix it with other teas to create something yummy!
★★★★★
This is my favorite of the but teas. Such a wonderful nutty flavor, very rich. Just love it!
★★★★★
SO good! nutty, aromatic, and reminds me of eggo waffles.
★★★★★
This is my favorite flavor, I've gone from an occasional tea drinker to looking forward to a cup or 2 every evening. The taste is so comforting. I love, love, love this tea!!!
★★★★★
Definitely has a strong chestnut flavor. Warm and toasty. I like it with some almond milk. It would be a really good coffee replacement, for me the taste is similar.

Delicious.my non tea lovers tried and loved it too

Love the flavor, great for the fall and winter season.

This tea is much stronger than I thought. It's good but I'm going to have to scale back from the recommended serving sizes
★★★★★
I got this because it was on sale and had such great reviews. The reviews were right. this one is fantastic. It's nutty and a little bit sweet. I've enjoyed it both hot and cold.
★★★★★
This chestnut tea smells like heaven and tastes like all the holidays of the year. You don't have to be a fan of nut flavors to fall absolutely in love with this one. It's a mild but full and complex flavor that makes you want to pour a hot cup of it to warm up any relaxing moments.
★★★★★
Smells like maple syrup! It's smooth and goes good with a little sugar. It naturally tastes pretty sweet though so can be drunk without.

Hmmm... what to say? good leaves, bland flavor.
not for me, this one. Guess it would be better in a blend.

Having tried chestnuts once and thinking them an utter waste, I have been really curious about chestnut tea and simply had to get a sample for nut day. It's lovely! My mother and I agreed that it was more maple than anything (with a surprisingly pleasant aftertaste of mushroom?!?), very subtle and gentle and all around pleasing. Great for drippy autumn days. I look forward to blending with it.

This is the best tea ever! It is fantastic. It has many notes some sweet, try much nuttiness, and very smooth, almost creamy. I have mixed with pumpkin spice and it just jumps it up a bit. Just an all around great tea and a good tea to be introduced to.

I wasn't sure what to expect with this tea. It has a strong maple taste that surprised me. I thought it might be more nutty, but the maple is good.

What can I say about this tea that everyone else already hasn't. It's pretty amazing. It's dark and rich and has a wonderful nutty flavor. I love it with milk and sugar.

Maybe my favorite tea of all time. The sweet nutty tones it produces are great and really warm you up on a snowy day.
★★★★★
The sweet, nuttiness of the chestnut really shines through making for a deliciously soothing tea, particularly on a chilly day. I recommend trying it with a splash of milk too.
★★★★★
I love the warm nutty flavor of chestnut tea. I will definitely be purchasing a larger bag in the future.

My favorite of the 'nutty' teas that adagio makes. It is sweet but not cloying. Just make sure not to oversteep as it can get tannic and artificial tasting if left too long.
★★★★★
Love love love this tea will be stocking up before it gone!
★★★★★
This is probably the tea I look forward to the most every fall. It's the most comforting, simple yet complex enough to not get boring, smooth tea I've ever had. A favorite in our house.
★★★★☆
I reach for this one on hectic mornings. The nutty smell is super soothing and relaxing. I try not to brew too long outside the 3 minute recommendation, as this one goes bitter very quickly. Excellent with a splash of milk.
★★★★☆
Nutty aroma with a hint of maple. If you love chestnuts, you'll love this as well

I enjoyed this tea - it has a mild flavor but is a bit more pronounced in terms of 'nuttiness' compared to the hazelnut tea. I would drink this with milk.

Can I just say straight out that this is an amazing tea? I didn't think anything could compare to my favorite Adagio teas--Hazelnut, Christmas, Caramel--but oh, it does. There's something about it--and I can't quite describe it. Yes, it's got the sort of nutty/sweet flavor you'd expect from something called 'chestnut,' but somehow the Adagio folks made it more than that. Smooth, rich but not overpowering. It's perfect for a chilly day. Next time I'm ordering a bigger bag. I don't want to be without this tea.

Unusual with a warm brown sugar flavor that tickles the tongue. Not as consistently good

It's like Golden Grahams in a cup. I have never been more surprised by a tea in my life. I expected to like it, but I didn't expect to want to take a swan dive into a vat of the stuff, and live there forever. Seriously, this tea is incredible, and it really sings on a cold day. For the perfect cup, just add a teaspoon of honey and a little bit of cream.
★★★★★
This is really- oddly- good. It's sort of like nuts with cream- or with hints of chicory? Or toffee? No- caramel. It's really different. My husband kept sipping and hmming, and then was at the bottom of his pot before he knew it. Put it this way- he's made room for it in his regular rotation- saying I could stop ordering one of his old teas and replace it with this. So- that's pretty impressive!

I love the smell! It's perfect for the fall season.
★★★★★
This tea was so delicious. It drinks almost like a coffee, the flavor is so rich. Even though it smells sweet the flavor isn't cloying at all. We enjoyed it plain, with cream, and with cream and sugar.
This tea was made to drink all Autumn and Winter. And even in July in Texas when you're dreaming of temperatures below 99 degrees...
★★★★☆
I loved the smell but the flavour wasn't as strong when drinking it but I do like this tea still. Would have liked more chestnut flavour.
★★★★☆
Yummy--falls in the cream catagorey--a replacement for hot chocolate.
★★★★★
So smooth, lightly sweet, and relaxing. It's perfect on its own--I don't need to add anything to it!
★★★★★
Interesting and delightfully different flavor. I like it.
★★★★★
I have no idea what a chestnut tastes like. I've never eaten one, and I don't even think they're a thing where I live. I ordered this tea entirely because of the reviews and I was starting to wonder if 'Chestnut' was a code word for something.
Folks: the hype is real.
This reminds me of walnuts and a hint of maple syrup. It's nutty, it's got a bit of that walnut bitterness, and it's got a sweet mapley-caramely aftertaste. It tastes like fall, like breakfast when it's rainy outside and the leaves are brown and orange. It tastes like a sophisticated pastry that you had one time as a kid that made you feel like an adult.
Try it sweet, try it with cream and stirred with a cinnamon stick. Sweeten it with maple syrup, or try it just plain because it's just fine like that as well.
Very excited to try this with some blends, and I wish I had tried it sooner.
★★★★★
This tea is a huge winner for me. I love the smell, though it might be overpowering for some. I really have no idea what a chestnut tastes like, but the closest thing this tea tastes like to me is a spiced chocolate raisin, and I absolutely love it!
★★★★☆
This is a good tea but a little heavy for me during the summer. I am going to save it for winter when I like a heaver tea.
★★★★☆
I've never had a chestnut before but I picked up a sample of this and it's quite nice. Very warm, nutty flavor that tastes even better when honey is added.
★★★☆☆
Just okay. Smells much better than it tastes. Taste isn't bad - but nothing special and definitely no chestnut flavor.
