This is a staple in my cabinet - my son's go to tea, great in the thermos as he works outside all day, even in winter. Chestnut tea fills the bill for a cold gloomy winter afternoon - cozy and rich. Definitely do not steep over 3 minutes!
This is probably the best tea Adagio carries in my humble opinion. Chestnut tea has an amazing aroma and subtle sweetness to it that I do not drink it with anything added, except for a little vanilla soy milk when I'm feeling like making it a true dessert tea. My whole family is hooked on it and it's one we drink seconds of time and time again.

Exactly what I'd hoped it would taste like based on the great reviews. I'll definitely be keeping a bunch of this tea in the house during the holidays from now on. It's great on its own, but to really go all out I like to make it with a cinnamon stick, a tiiiiny amount of brown sugar, and a wee bit of some kind of milk.
Of all the holiday teas I've tried, this is one of my most favorites, and probably is destined to be an all-time favorite. Looking for a 'nutty' tea with just the right flavor, this is wonderful! It has a beautiful nutty-vanilla flavor and very pleasant aroma. It also doesn't get overly-bitter when you accidentally over-steep it. Yummy with honey or honey and milk. I highly recommend it as a pleasant dessert-tea, any time of day. The tin is pretty too. :)
This tea was good, but chestnut flavor was a little nondescript for me. Overall it's a good tea, good flavor, very smooth.
Rather an unusual taste. I only make hot tea and then use it for ice tea, so I think it would be better hot.

My daughter and I are freakishly in love with this tea. This is the coziness cuppa in the world. Super delicious with a bit of fresh almond milk. It has a maple flavor that is simply amazing.
Good for holiday time, also nice to add to other basic teas for a bit more complexity (if needed).

Was disappointed because it has the great review. The best thing about it for me was the aroma when I opened the bag. Tea had some nutty aroma, but it tastes little bitter. Need a lot of milk and whiskey?
I read some great reviews of the chestnut tea on this site, and since I am a fan of flavors such as almond and hazelnut, I decided to give it a try. I prepared it as iced tea and was pleasantly surprised. It has a rich, nutty flavor with a sweetness to it, almost caramel-like. It is full-flavored and very satisfying without having to add sweetener or even milk. Although I have only tried it as iced, I predict it would be equally delicious hot.
I liked this tea but was not blown away by as the other reviews stated. I guess it is just a personal preference. I always start with the sample sizes to try new teas.
This one isn't bad, has a unique taste though not sure it resembles much of a chestnut flavor to me.
When I started drinking this tea, I was automatically putting honey in each cup I drank, but for health reasons had to stop for a month. After quitting honey, this became my favorite morning tea as it is naturally sweet. It reminds me of winter and snuggling up to a warm fire. I love it!

I got this tea as a free sample. I like the tea, but I feel like it is the sort of tea that goes better mixed with other tad that on its own. Otherwise it had a nice smooth flavor that is a bit sweet.
I could drink this tea all day and not get sick of it. The flavor is perfect!

I recently quit coffee because of some health reasons so I was looking for not only a caffeine replacement, but also something that would take the place of the coffee flavor that I so LOVE...this did it. It reminds me so much of Milk Tea that you get with Boba at the Korean coffee stands. I LOVE IT!!! I can't wait to try it iced this summer. I will be ordering this by the pound. Ordered and enjoyed during the holidays last year. Excellent flavor that's true to the label: roasted chestnuts. Sweet and nutty. Perfect to beat back the Winter chill (though we didn't get much of that this year). I'll be back for more later this year.

This is hands down my favorite tea on adagio. I could probably drink this all day every day and never get sick of it, it's just that good. It has this wonderfully sweet/nutty flavor that really doesn't need anything to bring it out, but is equally complimented by sugar or milk.

I originally tried this in the holiday sampler pack and fell in love with it immediately. It has the perfect balance of black tea and that warm chestnut flavor. I knew from the first cup that this would become one of my regular teas.
