This smells heavenly, but like a few other flavored teas I have tried, it is too intense for me after half a cup. I guess I'm a purist at heart! I prefer unflavored black, green and white teas.
Perfect for enjoying in front of an open fire on a cool night, in any season. A comforting reminder of the season of giving, perfect to share with a few close friends.

This is my favorite tea of all time. Warm and toasty. Perfect every time.
I would have never thought to try this tea but my mom and I both got the Tea Advent Calendars and this was the very first one in the series. It was fantastic, and so I immediately ordered a bag of it. It has a wonderful nutty flavor that's different from a hazelnut flavor (I'm NOT a hazelnut fan, so I steer far away). It's more mellow and almost caramel-y. My mom and I are both obsessed with it and had to stop ourselves from going through a whole bag in one day! I love it unsweetened and with a splash of cream.
The chestnut flavor is actually a little too strong for me, but I enjoyed the sample.
Not really a fan of this by itself even though I love chestnuts.
I'm not the biggest chestnut fan but this tea was delicious. Perfect for the Christmas season, and great with milk and sugar added. Nice and nutty.
It has an aftertaste that is oddly reminiscent of maple pecan syrup. After drinking it I feel as though I've just eaten pancakes. It's good, if you're into that.
This was surprising delicious. I ordered because I read such good reviews. I agree. A touch of honey or Agave and an orange slice...yum.
I love this tea! I wasn't sure what to expect and didn't even smell it in-store, I just went for it based on the reviews here. It really is a great dessert tea or general work day pick-me-up. I usually add sugar to any non-fruit teas, and I think it enhances this one, since it smells sweet but doesn't taste sweet.
Decided to try the tea despite not ever have eaten a chestnut! I found the tea a little too sweet at first so I've mixed it with Apricot black tea and that helped dilute the sweetness. I will come back to it later and see if its still too sweet or maybe I need to drink with dessert to better appreciate it.
Tastes pretty good. DO NOT let the tea diffuse in the tea too long or it tastes weird
I like this. Not my favorite but I like it. Good with milk and sugar. Doesn’t really taste like chestnuts to me though.
Chestnut iced tea is a perfect cold winter refreshment! Hearty enough to satisfy the Holiday palate. My holiday guests were so pleased they come back to visit, requesting my wonderful special iced tea and complimenting me on it's unique flavor!
Warm, rich, and delicious! It’s perfect for the holidays.
Unique flavor! Love it. If you love walnut tea you will love this!
I can't say enough about this tea! It is the perfect drink to warm you up on a cold winter's day. I will be reordering many, many times.
A holiday sensation for sure! I was first hesitant to try it due to the very strong chestnut aroma of the dried tea. However after steeping, it was in fact amazing. Perfect with shortbreads or with a touch of sugar.
I love this tea, and I wish it came in a decaf version! It's very fragrant and tastes great, even when I forget to take my infuser out!
Very light and sweet. A nice shake up to your usual cut black tea.
While it was pleasantly 'sweetish nutty', it didn't really immediately evoke chestnut specifically, as opposed to similar nuts.
If you like almond flavored tea, you'll like this.
The tea is wonderful. I once you put some milk in it tastes almost like coffee. Even my daughter likes it!
Such a great winter tea! It is naturally sweet, but has a nice warm nutty flavor. Definitely a good alternative to coffee in the afternoon.
Warm nutty flavor that I just love... great pick me up when you need one but don’t feel like coffee. Highly recommend
First off, just opening the pouch I LOVED the smell of this tea! Whether dry or steeped, it's so aromatic & pleasant. It's nice & nutty, sweet & cozy. This is the perfect winter tea, I'll definitely be ordering more!
*I generally make all of my coffee/tea very strong. I use double the recommended amount (in the case of tea, I use 2 tsp per cup instead of one), if the tea is floral/fruity I use honey, if not, I do add a bit of cream & sugar
This tea surprised me. It had an extremely dry mouthfeel that I actually enjoyed oddly enough. Super toasty and nutty. Can’t wait to try with some cream.
This wasnt as sweet and nutty as I was hoping for but others may like it if you prefer a dark, twa with a bit of a nutty flavor..just not sweet
I'm not sure what all the hype is about with this one. To me it tastes like normal black tea with some chestnut flavoring added--no surprise since that's exactly what it is. I guess I was expecting something more given the high ratings.
This is my very favorite and I am glad they offer it year round. Very full flavored and rich, I drink it with cream, but have to be careful. Too much and it's a wash out, too little and it's not as smooth. But get it just right, and it's heaven! I drink this almost every day, and it's the tea that has me so dedicated to Adagio.
Very strongly 'chestnutty', both in terms of scent and flavor, almost a bit too much. Real nice with a bit of milk though.
I find this overpowering in scent and flavor. I’m glad I only got a sample. I’ve blended a bit with Irish breakfast to mellow it a bit and that was better.
I first tried chestnut tea at a local tearoom with a splash of milk and sugar. It was the most delicious tea I'd ever tasted so I searched online to find a bagged version. I'm in heaven again sipping this lovely brew at home now. I’ve introduced it to several friends who share my delight.
One of my favorite teas! Nice and bold with a great, nutty taste. It even won over my boyfriend that refuses flavored teas...
I buy this tea every winter. I like to mix it with herbal teas to make it less of a caffeine jolt.
I’m not a fan of chestnut flavors but after reading reviews of this tea, I decided to purchase a sample. Wow, first of all the sweet aroma is so welcoming and the taste is smooth and not artificially sweet. I just hosted a Christmas afternoon tea and this was by far the favorite tea served. Off to order more!
Warm and cozy cup of deliciousness. This tea is mild and nutty. Drinks well plain or with cream. I was afraid it might have a strange flavor, but it is yummy.
Yum! This tea is wonderful to have on a cold day. The aroma is amazing and so is the taste. One doesn't have to add anything to it to enhance the flavor. It's excellent by itself.
This tea has a great rich flavor I haven't found anywhere else.
One of my favorite black teas. It has a rich, nutty flavor, and I just add a splash of milk to it to enhance the flavor.
When I opened the bag, the best way to describe the scent is oatmeal or cereal. Its a an all around pleasant tea, makes you want to curl up and read a book.
A well balanced black tea with a distinct and pleasant note of chestnut and a touch of sweetness.
This was my first tea from Adagio. I received the Holiday assortment from my daughter for Christmas and this was the first one I tried. I really love this tea!
I now understand the love behind this tea. For starters the smell is inviting and the taste is absolutely wonderful. It's rich and sweet, and perfect if you want to warm up or snuggle up in the cold winter nights.
Sweet without having to add sugar, and just a little nutty. A great winter tea in the morning, especially with milk.
Love this tea, nice and dark with nutty tones. Absolutely fantastic with a splash of milk.
This is a personal favorite!!! I love it, especially once the crisp, fall air hits!
Really good. I add a little bit of sugar to enhance the flavor
Good tea, smells incredible, and tastes just like it smells.
I love fresh chestnuts and eat them right out of the bag when cooking, so I suspect the subtle sweetness and richness will blend very well with dark black tea.
One of my favorite teas of all time. Makes me feel warm and cozy.
I ve got to be honest. I thought I d hate this. I recently went to Seoul and had roasted chestnuts for the first time and was NOT a fan. They smelled great, but I hated the taste (and texture). So when I pulled this out of my Adagio advent calendar, I was pessimistic. But wow... I loved it so much I hopped on and bought a bag. It smells like winter, and it tastes just as satisfying. There s really no other way to put it.
I steeped this a tad bit longer than 3 minutes (closer to 4 or 5), and it didn t get too stout. I also added a splash of sweet cream, as I am wont to do when I drink black teas.
