Butterscotch tea! Butterscotch tea! It's a buttery treat! It's butterscotch tea! Even my brother, a non-tea drinker, likes this one.
Sweet, buttery and whimsical flavors are infused into this dessert tea and rounded off with hints of apple, cocoa nibs, and marigold.

Butterscotch tea! Butterscotch tea! It's a buttery treat! It's butterscotch tea! Even my brother, a non-tea drinker, likes this one.
One of my favorites. Satisfies my craving for sweets after dinner.
meh. This tea tastes artificial, probably due to the 'butterscotch flavoring' which I didn't notice before I purchased a sample. A generous pour of milk masked the chemical aftertaste, but I wouldn't buy it again
I usually cold brew this tea because it has so much flavor and doesn't require any additional sweetener for my preferences. To me it really tastes of butterscotch candy! Makes for a good dessert tea
Absolutely delicious! Adding a touch of honey really adds to the sweetness
This tea has a wonderful sweet flavor without all the sugar of candy.
I personally didn t care for the butterscotch tea. I might try it as a latte and/or mix it with something else. @adagioteas
Smooth and delightful! Such a great addition to my collection
Absolutely scrumptious! This has become one of my new favorites -- sweet, oddly buttery, and fabulous with cream and sugar.
Very sweet and butterscotch-y! The flavor is nice and strong.
Sweet and creamy over the familiar bitterness of black tea
One of my favorites. The butterscotch flavor is smooth and creamy and the perfect way to end my evenings.
The smell is amazing! Especially good with some honey as a compliment.
Unfortunately I am not a huge fan of this one. I love butterscotch in pancakes/cookies/coffee, so maybe I just had unrealistic expectations for a butterscotch tea. I tried adding half and half and that did not help. I will finish my sample but will likely not buy again.
I wanted to like this more than I did. I felt like it just didn't have enough flavor.
Has a very good butterscotch flavor but it quickly became overwhelming drinking a whole cup
This is such a wonderful tea! I love the smell, but after steeping it is even better and the flavor really does remind me of a butterscotch candy.
I usually only have 1 cup of caffeinated tea per day, so I like it to be tasty. This one was the perfect start to my day. The smell was amazing...the kind of aromatherapy to wake you up in the morning. I added milk and I really enjoyed the flavor. I definitely could taste the butterscotch. Next time I will try it with a little honey to see if it brings out the flavor even more.
This was my first foray into the world of Adagio; a lovely introduction. Though I did seem to get all the flavors in my cup, I found the flavor to be a bit too light for such a bold overall concept. Would drink again but not an everyday tea for me.
Taste exactly like the name, be careful, they can be overpower
Not my usual type of flavor but I really did enjoy it. Makes a delicious "dessert" type of tea.
This has quickly become one of my favorite afternoon teas. I brew at a slightly cooler temprature to keep down the bitterness from the black tea. Great with a tea biscut or biscotti.
Like liquid candy! It’s like a dessert tea for any time of day.
Yummy! I really enjoyed one and will likely be getting it again in the future.
Good tea...great butterscotch flavor...this will be one of my favorites
A really nice dessert tea, which smelled and tasted exactly like butterscotch without being cloying or too sweet.
So good when drank with some sweet n hot! Also mix syrup with it
I only had a sample size, and my sample may not have had a good mix of all the components. The dry tea had a good butterscotch smell, but the tea steeped up is just a nice black tea. I can't taste any of the butterscotch notes even when adding a small bit of sugar and letting it cool a bit.
Delicious! I mixed this with the chestnut and with the decaf hazelnut for a buttery nut flavor @adagioteas
I really dig this tea. Who'd have thought a tea named 'Butterscotch' would appeal to a fan of deep dark teas such as Scottish Breakfast and Lapsang?
This is SO desserty and makes for a delicious blend. Must do with milk. Remind me of the Werther's Originals candies I used to drop into cups of tea at my grandmother's house. My favorite to blend with Kentucky Bourbon for even more richness & compliments other smoky teas nicely .
One of our new favorites. Top of the list for us is honey bush banana bread and valentines tea. The kiddos love this for afternoon tea time
Strong and rich, to the point where it can be a bit overwhelming if I'm not explicitly in the mood for it. Still a sweet blend that captures the flavor of butterscotch excellently.
Just the right amount of sweet! I do not care for sugar in my tea, this is a nice treat. Flavor is mild and pleasant. Quickly becoming a fav! I think a bit lower temp is perfect for this tea to keep it smooth.
I know in all my reviews I have to talk about the scent, but...this tea! The leaves smell exactly like butterscotch candy. It could have been drunk on its own, but I couldn't help myself and added a bit of brown sugar. I had it with milk, but it was also great without. This tea has the depth of flavor that I was looking for in the 'caramel' black tea! I'm sad that I only bought the sampler bag...
A sweet treat without feeling too heavy, butterscotch is good on it's own, or mixed with apple or other chai teas. I purchased it for fall, but it's still holding strong as a winter staple tea as well.
Oh my gosh! This is my new favorite for the winter. So sweet and buttery and just darn yummy.
Love adding this to other black teas to deepen the flavor profile.
A family favorite! Everyone loves it, easy to come back to again and again.
Yum. Like drinking a piece of candy. This one is really smooth too. I add sweetened cream to it.
Creamy and buttery. It's a favorite of my whole family.
The scents wafting cup from the bag are heavenly--I could just inhale the buttery, vanilla, butterscotch wonderfulness. Steeped this a a full bodied tea that goes well with honey bush and/or a splash of milk.
I could definitely taste the butterscotch and it was delicious. It was smooth and also almost creamy in flavor. This has quickly become my favorite black tea. Makes me want to cure up under a blanket on a rainy day and read a book.
Fine, but I expected the butterscotch to be much more prominent, it's fairly subtle.
I tried a sample of this, and it tastes like fall to me. Great with a little sugar and milk and a cookie.
Love this tea as a pick me up in the afternoon especially paired with some chocolate
If you love butterscotch, this is for you. Good hot or iced.
This is a great dessert tea if you like butterscotch candies! Not only does the flavor imitate the candies, but so does the mouthfeel -- very smooth indeed. It's lack of astringency surprised me, given that most of Adagio's flavored teas are fairly astringent. I think they must use a different black tea in this butterscotch blend than what they use in their other flavored black teas. The color of the tea is also different than the others, with a deep amber hue that appropriately nods to the butterscotch. I often add a splash of cream to my dessert teas, but this one is so smooth already that it doesn't need it. I do still enjoy it with a little sweetener, though, just to bring out the butterscotch.
So sweet and delicious even without any sugar. Really tastes like butterscotch and feels like dessert.
my mother loves this tea and so do I! its such a sweet blend very tasty
