Very good desert tea. Nice butterscotch/caramel flavor. Good with or without milk. I would definitely buy again.
Sweet, buttery and whimsical flavors are infused into this dessert tea and rounded off with hints of apple, cocoa nibs, and marigold.

Very good desert tea. Nice butterscotch/caramel flavor. Good with or without milk. I would definitely buy again.
This tea tastes like a dessert. It doesn't need sweetener to be delicious. It is a great afternoon pick up tea
A delightful, refreshing cup of tea. I typically drink unflavored, Chinese black tea, but do switch it up every once in awhile. This one is great by itself and reminds me of Butterbeer or cream soda. Nice for when you want a little extra something. Is nice iced too!
Less sweet than I was expecting, which is a good thing. There was also more diversity of flavor--you can really taste the different elements. Not a fave, but not bad, either.
This is one of my go-to cups of tea now! It's so smooth and caramelly but not overpowering and is the perfect way to start the day
Another favorite for dessert alone of mixed with Adagio Chocolate Truffle. This tea is good iced as well
My very favorite tea, all by itself. Relaxing, but substantial butterscotch aroma and flavor.
It is delightful blended with Chocolate Truffle, two parts Butterscotch and one part Chocolate Truffle. A very sofistocated and satisfying naturally sweet tea. Love it hot or iced! A couple of cubes of brown sugar compliments that sweet tooth moment.
Liked it a lot, 4 out of 5 stars. I wanted more butterscotch from it. It was good, but maybe I needed more tea for my liking? Its definitely one of my favorites at this point
Great tea! It taste just like the candy, with a little vanilla creamer, it's delicious!
Delicious! Not cloyingly sweet--just enough so--and the bright, sweet, smooth scent is incredible too. I like to add a tiny bit of cream to my black teas, and this one does better with barely any cream so I might go without cream for this one. Definitely a new treat.
Smells like baileys , very sweet notes of butterscotch ❤️
This tea is amazing. I opened it and could immediately smell the butterscotch candy.
This is a nice flavored black tea! The butterscotch is prominent without being too overpowering. I’m sure that adding a little bit of sweetener would make this even more of a treat, but it’s great plain too.
This tea was just alright for me. A bit to sweet for my taste. Though I do enjoy it in blends.
Fantastic butterscotch aroma and a pleasant butterscotch taste with strong black tea flavor.
Strong butterscotch scent as soon as I'd open the packet. The first few sips without sweetener were a little buttery but did not taste like butterscotch. After adding a little bit of sugar the butterscotch is a lot more recognizable. Tastes just like the hard candy with the added flavor of black tea. Slightly astringent, would also be good with some cream.
This was an interesting tea. Butterscotch and tea? The aroma of butterscotch bit properly off the nose when I opened the Comments packet this morning. Butterscotch is properly a light, sharp, and sweet flavor, not for everyone but one of my favorites, and I think it was a lovely combination with tea. When the tea was brewed, plain, the taste first was of black tea, then the aftertaste left butterscotch lingering on the tongue, only getting stronger with time... Even without more tasting. I still sweetened the tea, because, well, I'm used to butterscotch as a sweet, as I said... Although I'd be willing to try it again unsweetened sometime, definitely. Sweetened with a bit of Sourwood honey, though, it truly brought butterscotch memories to the fore. How 'bout some more?
I got three steeps out of this sample. that's how good I thought it was, funny because I despise caramel, but it's more of a texture thing, the flavor is wonderful.
Yum! This tea hits that butterscotch note nicely with a slightly sweet and smooth depth.
Out of the packet, the butterscotch aroma was very apparent along with hints of chocolate. After brewing, it definitely reminded me of butterscotch candies.
This tea is delightful! It is very smooth and tastes like I’m eating Nestles butterscotch chips. I’m not a big fan of butterscotch but I’m a fan of this tea!
This tastes exactly like the butterscotch hard candies, especially if you add a little sweetener to really bring out the flavor. Butterscotch is not one of my favorite flavors, but the tea is nice and has been a really nice addition in a few blends I've tried recently. Definitely give this a go if you like butterscotch though, it's one of the teas that really does have the right flavor for what it's going for!
Opening the CommuniTEA packet I got an immediate smell of butterscotch. If I had added some sugar to the brewed tea I am sure it would taste just like butterscotch candy or pudding. I drank the tea without any sweetener and still felt like I was having a treat. This blend definitely delivers the butterscotch flavor.
This is not a flavor I would jump up and down for, but if you are someone who loves butterscotch, you just hit the jackpot. It pairs well with the black tea, actually becomes more intense as I sipped it. I did not taste any cocoa nibs; however I don't think any flavor could get past the butterscotch! It's not for me, but I will give it points for big flavor!
When I first tried blends with butterscotch in them, I didn't quite know how I felt about it. I have learned that I just have to be careful about adding sweetner since it's already a pretty sweet flavor on its own. Butterscotch has a unique flavor that is highly detectable and its own, but almost reminds me of caramel. This was a delicious treat!
This tea has a delicious butterscotch aroma and taste! The black tea complimented the butterscotch flavors well and did not overpower the tea. This is a fantastic dessert tea!
The butterscotch aroma from this tea is amazing. Seriously, I could sit and smell this tea all day long. The flavour doesn't quite live up to it, unfortunately, at least not at first. I found the flavour to be significantly muted until the tea was almost room temperature. Once it had cooled quite a bit, the butterscotch flavour became more noticeable. Following the lead of other reviewers, I tried adding milk to the second steep and found that to dull the flavour even further. So I like it, I just wish the flavour was a little more prominent on the palate.
I like the sweetness and creaminess that this tea has! It mixes really nicely with the tannins of the black tea.
I love butterscotch and this tea does not disappoint! It's smooth and creamy. The black tea doesn't detract from the butterscotch goodness. This is a keeper!
Lovely aroma and deep honey color. Lightly sweet, refreshing taste. Smooth finish. The butterscotch flavor is light, not overpowering. I sweetened with a little bit of stevia.
9/4/2021 - I still love this tea. Butterscotch is a favorite flavor of mine. This tea is lightly sweet...just right. Mmmmmm :)
3/31/23 - Still a favorite. Sweet and comforting. Love it! Great blended with chocolate or cinnamon teas. :)
It has a rich butterscotch flavor. It is very smooth when drinking
A pleasant strong tea with a flavor that very closely resembles butterscotch.
In the bag: Mostly black tea leaves. Three apple pieces. Three cocoa nibs, one of them on the bigger end. A few marigold flowers.
On the nose (pre-steep): A mild butterscotch leads the way. It's not as sweet as I expected. Hints of cocoa in the background.
On the nose (post-steep): The butterscotch notes have toned down and are now balanced by the unsweetened cocoa of ceylon. Still no sugar. Clean nose feel.
On the tongue (pre-sweetener): Butterscotch continues to reduce. Now it's a secondary flavor supporting the cocoa. A mild astringency.
On the tongue (post-sweetener): The butterscotch is fuller and richer. It's now an equal partner.
Opinion: A delicious blend, though we could have amped up the butterscotch even more. I almost lost it on my tongue pre-sweetener. I love flavor bomb blacks, so perhaps that's just my bias talking.
Preparation: First steep 3 min, second steep 6 min. Both @ 195 ℉. ½ teaspoon monk fruit sweetener.
Every day I have this sweet and satisfying tea as an after work pick me up. I really love it and look forward to that sweet and flavorful flavor of butterscotch.
The Butterscotch flavor was very mild and didn't really come out strong in a cold brew, my preferred method unfortunately. I expected as much, but I imagine this would taste better brewed hot.
Delicious and smooth taste! It smells very strong but the flavors are nicely balanced
I love my butterscotch dessert of goodness in a cup - yummy
It’s the best way to wake up everyday.
Love this flavor! I added just a little sweet cream and honey and it was magnificent.
I'm new to Adagio teas and this is hands down, my favorite of them all so far (and they've all been really good!) Truly decadent to smell and taste, my only wish is that it came in a caffeine-free version too because I want to drink it all day long! I loved butterscotch-flavored hard candies as a kid, and this reminds me of those - minus the sugar. Ordering more right now!
It does taste and smell a lot like butterscotch. It is very rich. It's good if you have a sweet tooth. It's not for me, though.
I’ve had this hot and I’ve had this cold. Personally, I find the smell more distinct than the taste. The taste was rather easygoing and pleasant though, regardless of intensity.
I loved this tea. The aroma of butterscotch is there as soon as you open the bag. Very flavorful sweet treat tea with just enough hint of butterscotch makes this tea one of my favorites
I love this flavor and have added it to my auto ship order. It smells heavenly in the bag and makes a wonderful cup with creamer. Second steep is equally good.
This was a nice black tea. The butterscotch was more of a smell until I added some sweetner. I liked this as a black tea but wish the added flavors were stronger.
I love butterscotch and liked this tea best with cream and sweetener. It made it taste like a guilt free dessert. This tea has become a favorite of mine because it mixes so well with many others.
as a huge butterscotch lover i was super excited for this! it does not disappoint. the butterscotch flavor isnt super strong, but thats what i expected. good with and without cream.
I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about this one, but the butterscotch flavor was really nice. I like to combine this one with a vanilla black tea for some elevation.
This is a new favorite tea in our house. Everyone who tries it loves it and it's a very strong black tea so you don't need as much as usual. It has a perfect werthers butterscotch flavor without tasting artificial at all. It's definitely a staple buy.
Delicious creamy buttery black tea, one of my daughters favorites to enjoy iced.
It is very good. It is very smooth. It would be nice with a little rum wink wink.
