This tea smelled wonderful upon opening the package. It was pleasant but didn't quite live up to my expectations on it's own. However it really blended really well with some of the other adagio tea samples I had on hand to try.

If you love butterscotch then this is the tea for you. Just one drop of rock sugar really elevates the flavor!
My favorite tea, I love butterscotch. I always love anything with this taste or smell, and this tea is REAL butterscotch for me
I've had butterscotch teas that taste chemical and gross, but this one is smooth and lightly sweet. I added a little coconut milk and it was amazing!
It took me a long time to try this on its own, but I'm glad I did. It both smells and tastes wonderful, especially with a bit of sugar and whipped cream added to it.

This one has a really great butterscotch flavor and doesn't need to be sweetened at all. It does oversteep very quickly though so you definitely need to keep an eye on it while you're steeping!

It definitely tastes like butterscotch, but I've discovered that butterscotch is perhaps not a flavor profile I enjoy in my cup of tea. I brewed this in my fridge overnight because I like iced tea, but maybe this tea is better enjoyed hot?
Butterscotch is perfect! It has just the right amount of sweetness that I don’t have to add a sweetener. It smooth and I put a little cream for a rich fullness I want. Sooo good.
Good flavor but not a true butterscotch taste, it was more like a mix of maple and vanilla.
Deliciously sweet tea that I enjoy with milk and sugar, as I am sweet tooth, and I drink it regularly with my breakfast in the morning. However, can be equally enjoyed chilled with honey as a lovely summer drink.

This smells amazing, but I think I added too much rock sugar and it was almost overpoweringly sweet. Will have to try again, sans sweetner.
This smelled really good but the taste was more of a maple syrup than butterscotch. It was sweet on sweet with no nuance. We tried this so many way and eventually had to infuse it with Ceylon sonata to improve the taste.
This is great if you like spiced/war/chocolate-y sorts of flavors to accompany your block tea. I'm a fan.
I was pleasantly surprised that I could actually taste the butterscotch! It is sweet without being TOO sweet and has a smooth finish.
In the bag, this tea has a sweet candy smell which I predicted. After steeping at the recommended temperature for the recommended time, the smell blends in and it's like a black tea with a little 'something' else. Without sweetener, it's okay. There isn't a flavor or memory I crave. With about 1/4 tsp of sugar, and/or vanilla syrup, there's not much change; it's alright too. Adding some milk is nice but I don't think it shines in any of the preparations I've tried. Maybe I didn't find the right way to enjoy it to its fullest, but I like that I gave this tea a try.
This tea is so flavorful and smooth. Perfect woth a tough pf homey to make it a bit sweeter. Highly recommended!

I managed to oversteep this TWICE (it’s that kind of day, folks! 🙄) and this still tasted amazing hot and poured over iced, with and without additives. If you like butterscotch, it’s definitely worth a purchase. Steeped ??? @ 200-212°

Wow the butterscotch aroma is strong from the packet. 90 sec @ 165 The butterscotch comes through much lighter in flavor with a little sweetness. I'm glad I got to try this in the CommuniTEA. No additions.
It reminded me of the hard candies as well. It might be one I get for blending.
This is one of my absolute favorite flavored teas from Adagio. It tastes like a butterscotch candy is floating in a warm brown bath of tea and is just as comforting as taking that bath myself. Warm and delicious. A permanent part of my stash.

Wow it really smells like butterscotch when I opened that pack. There is the sweet, buttery, malty flavor notes with the hint of fruit and cocoa. The flavor is sweet even without sweetener but with sweetener it really enhances the dessert flavors. I also tried this with and without milk, both are good but I liked with milk the best.
Winner winner chicken dinner! This tea is my new favorite of all time! Tried it as a sample and loved it so much now I have to order the whole bag.
4/2/24 Still not a fan of this tea. I do consider myself a better tea maker than when I first started my tea journey last year, but this tea just isn't for me. It smells like butterscotch, but just doesn't have the flavor for me.
3/31/23 While I like to eat items with butterscotch, this wasn't my favorite tea. I added sweetener and a little cream. Still has a little bitterness at the end.
This is a pungent blend that tastes just like its namesake. Butterscotch is one of my favorite flavors, so I'm glad there's a tea just for me!

Enjoyable butterscotch flavored tea; great butterscotch aroma, has a bit of a dry finish. A second steep of the leaves yields a mild and pleasant brew. This tea made my kitchen smell like butterscotch candies.
Genuine butterscotch flavor, pairs nicely with other flavored teas. Love making a custom blend with this.

On its own this is super sweet. It's delicious as a dessert tea. I prefer blending with it since the flavor is quite strong on its own.

I really think that black tea goes super well with things like chocolate, caramel, etc. Anyway its very delicious, I usually have it as a dessert tea, sweetened with or without cream/milk. I think the sugar really brings out the butterscotch flavor in it.
A solid flavored tea. The fragrance is stronger than the butterscotch taste. You do get the taste in the tea but it is not as strong as the fragrance. I prefer to steep it longer than the 3 mins to try and tease out more flavor.
I tried this because I like flavored teas like caramel, cream, and vanilla so I thought I’d try this as a change of pace. It stands up with those base standard flavored teas that’s good to have on hand. Good as a dessert tea.
