This tea tastes like it is naturally creamy and lightly sweet, even though it’s a black tea. We love this one and recommend it!

I recently moved away from coffee in the mornings and this is a fantastic substitute. Sweet but not overwhelmingly so, and resteeps well without bitterness if you use not-quite-boiling water.

A really enjoyable dessert tea, or nice start to the day if you want something a bit sweet. Full-bodied and creamy.

It smells amazing! It is my choice of tea for rainy spring days.

Smooth and delicious. I like my tea strong, so I use two scoops, steep longer and add vanilla almond milk creamer.

delicious, had to hold myself back from having too much. the kind of tea I don't feel even warrants milk, like I often do with black teas

I knew it was going to be good but WOW! This tea is so amazing. Great in the morning or even after dinner as a sweet treat.

Sadly, I could not get past the extremely sweet smell. I normally like dessert teas. This is for the true butterscotch fan.

I love butterscotch a lot so I've ordered this sample a bunch, each time forgetting how much I disliked it the last time. It smells and tastes burnt, even before being brewed. Caramel is ultimately burnt sugar, but butterscotch isn't supposed to be. It gets its color from brown sugar and is supposed to be milder than caramel.

Not my favorite. I always end up choosing another tea instead. It has a nice aroma though and is fine to drink

Adagio’s Butterscotch flavored black tea blend is a delightful treat for anyone who enjoys a smooth, dessert-like cup. The combination of black tea, apple pieces, rose hips, cocoa nibs, and marigold flowers creates a warm and inviting base, while the butterscotch flavor adds a rich, buttery sweetness. The tea has a naturally gentle sweetness that is even more indulgent with a touch of sweetener, bringing out the creamy, caramelized notes. It’s a cozy and comforting blend, perfect for an afternoon pick-me-up or a soothing after-dinner sip.

Incredible dessert tea. Just add a little honey and it's like a butterscotch cookie in a cup.

Absolutely delicious Caffeinated Black Tea. The Butterscotch has a distinctive, elegant taste and fine aroma, An energizing tea to wake-up to in the morning or just to keep you going in the afternoon.

This tea tastes bittersweet and dull, and its smell is buttury. As a kind of tea, it's really strange, but something like a butterscotch, the taste is understandable 🤣

Reminds me of the little butterscotch disks my grandmother always had on hand... but a little more complex and grown-up tasting.

This is a lovely tea! Slightly sweet, and smells amazing! I try to avoid caffeine at night, but I do indulge with this one. It is a perfect afternoon or dessert tea all on its own!

The flavor is great. I wasn't sure when I ordered this and wondered how real or fake the butterscotch would be. Turns out, it is really good.

★★★★★

I'm not sure I'd know it was butterscotch if I was just handed this but it was very good. A little like a chocolate butterscotch mixture.

The moment you open the pouch you smell butterscotch and just as strong as when you finish brewing it. Though, I feel it sets your expections higher then they should be for how strong the butterscotch taste is. It's there but not nearly as strong as the smell is, slight disapointment.

I love butterscotch and this tea hits all the marks. The smell is divine and the taste is spot on. I usually like milk and sugar but with this one I didn’t need it

The smell is so much stronger than the tea itself. The butterscotch flavor isn't nearly as strong in taste.

I'm torn on this one. When you open the package, it 100% smells like butterscotch. When you brew it, you also get the smell. However, when drinking it, I found it was overwhelmed by the apple. It's possible my scoop just had too many apple chunks, but the cup I brewed was more like an apple tea with butterscotch undertones. My next cup I'll pick the apple chunks out so hopefully it will be the butterscotch flavor with undertones of apple instead of the other way around. The butterscotch flavor I did get was fantastic, which is why I hope cutting down the apple will make this go from good to great.

(Disclaimer: I drink all of my teas plain. No sugar or milk or anything added. So this could affect the intended experience.)

I really enjoyed this blend. Not overpowering but delicious. I wish they had this in a decaf. I would like to try this iced as well.

I think it is just that I prefer fruity and flowery teas. While this tea does taste good and is for sure very butterscotch flavored it doesn't do it for me.

This is a great tea, and for me, I don't need a ton of it. In fact, if I use too much, it tastes overpowering. I drink this every day.

The smell of this is heaven. It tastes sweet and creamy. I love this with milk. One of my favorite teas for the morning.

Butterscotch is one of our favorite fall & winter flavors! This one is smooth and best served hot in a cup that keeps it warm. A little bit of honey takes any bitterness away.

The smell of this is insane. It smells and tastes like a warm hug, and I would definitely purchase again.

Buttery, creamy and rich! A good tea any time of the day but could easily be a dessert tea. I love all the flavors Adagio offers.

I haven't been impressed with this one, but maybe I just haven't found the perfect method yet. It's stronger than the caramel, but it reads creamy and a little artificial to me. Could be user error though; I don't reach for flavored teas like I used to so I haven't committed much effort to making it work.

This one is good, but it could use some more butterscotch flavor. I was a little disappointed in it. I wouldn't order again.

★★★★☆

This Butterscotch is not the greatest on its own, but I absolutely love it in a mix. I add 1/2 tsp Butterscotch tea with 1/2 tsp decaf Cream tea and a Twining's English Breakfast teabag (sorry I haven't tried Adagio English Breakfast yet). It is such a nice smooth flavored tea...I love it! I do add some honey and milk. My new winter favorite!

My favorite tea until now. I will buy a lot more of this. Just wonderful for who appreciate sweet taste. The smell is delicious too

★★★☆☆

If you gave butterscotch tea to me blindfolded, I would guess this was meant to taste like licorice allsorts. I taste notes of aniseed and coconut, but nothing that suggests brown sugar or caramel. Not a bad cup, just not what I expected.

MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE ADAGIO TEA!!! I thought surely it wasn't going to be as good as I was expecting, but thankfully, it was so much more! Great taste and smell! Love this one!

I was looking for tea similar to what I had in Banff. this was quite close and it's sweet and doesn't need sugar. It's like having your tea and cookie.

This one was a little too sweet for my taste, but if you enjoy butterscotch, you should try it. But if you don’t like overly-sweet, you might try another dessert tea.

★★★★☆

The butterscotch scent is very strong, but it doesn't quite carry over to the taste as much as I'd like. I added sugar and let this steep for more than the recommended time to try and get more flavor out, and it was still a little weak. One of the teas I enjoy for the aroma more than the taste.
