Years ago, Twinnings had a winter butterscotch flavor tea and I hoped this would be as flavorful, but not so much. I only get the taste of black tea. I'll keep searching. . .

I've already ordered a 3 ounce bag of this after trying a sample size. It reminds me of maple tea I fell in love with years ago. I drink it in the morning with a dash of honey.
I enjoy an occasional flavored black tea and this is a good one to have in the winter. I suspect it might be better with a touch of sugar, but I always drink my teas black.

Add honey, and this one tastes like a Worther’s Original. Legit don’t know how they did it. It’s REALLY good.
I am really enjoying this as a cold brew. When you open the packet, you get a strong whiff of butterscotch. The resulting cold brew had a nice strong tea base but with a definite butterscotch flavor. I did not add any sweetener, so I find it so interesting that a tea can be unsweetened but also taste like brown sugar at the same time. It would not take much sweetener to make this taste sweet. I'm not sure I'd want to drink this all the time, but I really do like it. Have not tried it hot, but I can see how this would make a fantastic dessert beverage.
Update: I’ve started getting creative with this blend by adding about 2/3 tsp of butterscotch tea along with 1/3 tsp cream decaf tea into my bag and then brewing. It gives a creamy twist to the delicious butterscotch, and eliminates the need for spot of milk.
This is a wonderful tea for anyone who has a sweet tooth without the guilt of adding calories. I have a cup of this tea after dinner and am satisfied.
This one is ok. Reminds me of a tobacco pipe almost. I gave it 3 stars only because I felt like it needed something. Add a little milk to it and it's pretty good. A dark tea that will wake you up!

I love butterscotch candy. This tea with a dab of milk and a spoon of sugar makes a decadent nightcap. I also like to drink it plain as it has a sweet creamy finish all on its own. I finished my sampler pack and will be ordering more of this tea.
This one is absolutely fantastic! Very rich and warming. The smell when you open the bag is intoxicating. I haven't tried it cold yet because I only got it this winter, but I expect it will be even better chilled with cream. It's got a sort of buttery/nutty flavor that reminds me of eating a blondie (a white brownie).
Really enjoying this during our cold weather. The smell is wonderful and a real butterscotch flavor when I add a bit of milk and sugar to my cup. Makes me feel comfy cozy.

If you love dessert teas, this one hits the spot. The moment the bag opens, it smells like walking into a candy shop—warm, buttery, sweet. The butterscotch flavor comes through without being artificial, and the apple pieces and cocoa nibs add a nice depth. It’s definitely on the sweet side, but not sugary. Great as an afternoon treat or even as a substitute for dessert. High caffeine too, so it gives a nice boost. Smooth, cozy, and indulgent.

This is a nice tea. When I first opened the bag, it smelled just like opening a bag of butterscotch candies. Once brewed, the strong butterscotch flavor dissipated, leaving the more fruity and floral notes of the apple, rose hips, and marigolds. There was something in the background that tasted odd, and after re-tasting a different blend which also had the cocoa nibs, I'm guessing that's what it was. What I've discovered is, I don't really like cocoa nibs in my tea. This tea is fine, but I think I'll stick to the ones without chocolate.
Enjoyable tea both hot and iced. Brewed both in hot tea maker and as sun tea. Not bitter, smells butterscotch wonderful.
Good if you like black tea! I feel like the black tea flavor covered up the butterscotch flavor. Brewed with the brewing instructions.

This has become my new favorite tea. I love the sweetness- not too rich but pleasantly deep. It also has a gorgeous scent that just makes the whole cuppa an experience. I usually drink it plain but occasionally I have added a bit milk that makes it very creamy. Absolutely delicious!

This is a great tea, I am surprised I hadn't reviewed it until now, its creamy, buttery and smooth. A little cream and sugar go along way as this is smooth and sweet already. Delicious guilt free tea.
Love the sort of caramel sweetness of this butterscotch tea. The cocoa nibs I feel hide in the background mostly, but lend a hand in the finish. The black tea base works well here and still maintains a flavor presence even with the very strong butterscotch flavor. I don't mind how strong it is as it is a favorite flavor of mine. I enjoy this one without adding anything, but could see it with sweetener and milk to make a dessert type cup. It does work well in blends as that strong flavor requires just a little to go the distance. 212° 3 min
This one is a LOT of butterscotch, so be aware! An authentic flavor and a smooth black tea to give it a kick.
Butterscotch is a personal favorite flavor, period. This did not disappoint! You can control the sweetness level, as you prefer, but the core flavor is just a lovely creamy buttery yum! Excuse me as I steep some more!
So sweet and just like butterscotch. Its definitely has a deeper flavor than a simple butterscotch candy but it is very nice
The smell of this tea when I opened the packet was very strong! Once brewed, the taste was still strong, but not quite as overpowering, and very pleasant. May have to get this for future treat cravings.

Oh man I loved this tea!! I love butterscotch but this wasn’t just sweet candy flavored it had some smokiness and complexity and tasted like tea also… just loved it and will probably order.
CommuniTEA sample: 3 min @ 212 F. The aroma is very nice and sweet for this blend. The taste reminded me too much of coffee though, I feel like the roasted aspect of the cocoa nibs and the bitterness from the Ceylon just didn't really play well with the butterscotch flavor. If I had it again, I might try adding some milk and sugar to balance it out, as well as a lower steeping temperature.
Wow..I haven't reviewed BUTTERSCOTCH goodness yet?! Superb tea, especially in blends..giving that cozy tea, tasty sweetness & warmth! Add some creme and sweetening of your choice to this tea...to make a delectable delight of dessert-y delicious wonder!
True to its name! Sweet, caramel-y, and rich - it's definitely a sweet treat on a cold night.
When I opened the package it smelled strongly of Butterscotch. After being brewed, the butterscotch smell decreased, but started mingling with smell of apple. The apple flavor was the most distinct, but some sugar helped lure out some taste of butter. I plucked out one of the apple pieces and resteeped it. It still had a pretty good flavor, and the apple taste was dampened.
I loved it! Great butterscotch flavor, if you like that flavor this is the tea.
