This is one of the very best single-flavor teas I have had from Adagio -- in fact, from any company! It s wonderful on its own. It has a great caramelly flavor that is way more robust than the caramel-flavored tea. I am sure it will be excellent in blends as well. Great hot or cold! I know I will find myself craving this tea. (I did today - made a pot and kept going back for more and more!)
I was so hopeful but this was a swing and a miss for me. I have been looking for a sweet dessert tea that is similar to the Tazo Butterscotch Blondie (which literally smells and tastes just like it sounds), but this Butterscotch really didn't taste of much of anything. It also didn't smell like butterscotch! It's a perfectly nice black tea but definitely not one that I would consider a treat.
This is an unusual and wonderful tea. I frequently get asked by people who smell the leaves or the brewed tea, 'What IS that? It smells incredible!' They are amazed when I tell them it is a black tea with butterscotch flavor. The taste is also great, sweet and buttery. I go through a lot of this tea, particularly later in the day since it is more mellow than the teas I use to help me wake up and get going. I do think of this as a 'dessert tea' even though I will frequently have it on its own.

This smells amazing! I love this tea and it has quickly become my go to in the morning. Smooth with a hint of nutty sweetness. It doesn t need sweeting but a drop of cream is a must to pull the full buttery flavor

MY FAVORITE!!! Just bought my first 1 pound bag of tea. I’m not even a fan of butterscotch but I tried a sample of this tea...and simply fell in love!! I couldn’t stop drinking it and quickly drank the entire sample portion I had. I repeatedly looked for the smaller bags but they weren’t available so I decided to splurge on my favorite. Now I’ll be able to enjoy this delicious, sweet, buttery tea as often as I like!

My husband I are both love this one lightly sweetened with honey or stevia. It's a comforting black tea with a light and smooth butterscotch undertone- nothing overpowering or overly sweet. Goes well with a little splash of milk or cream too!

Butterscotch may be a bit of a stretch for a flavor profile here. This tea was creamy and sweet when I added a bit of creamer and sugar, but not buttery as I anticipated. As it cooled an almost artificial chocolate flavor tried to come through, most likely from the cocoa nibs. The black tea was a good choice, and finished the cup off with a smooth silky essence.

I tried another brand of butterscotch tea and was very disappointed. I decided to give this one a try and am so glad I did! I found it to have just the right amount of flavor in addition to a great quality largish loose leaf tea. You can taste both the tea and the butterscotch flavors. If you like butterscotch, this is for you.

Amazing! This is now one of my favorites. It has a lovely aroma before & after steeping. The flavor is as close as you can get to butterscotch without having an artificial taste. This is better than the caramel in my opinion.
This one is weird to me, I don't get butterscotch at all?? It just tastes like apples, more so even than the candy apple flavor, which is not bad... just not butterscotch.

The smell from the bag is strong and smells exactly like butterscotch candies. Once steeped, it still smells the same - however, the flavor was weak compared to what I expected by the scent. I gave this tea a few tries, even letting it steep over ten minutes to see if the flavor would change at all. The flavor was about the same from 3-10+ minutes of steeping. I was disappointed that the flavor didn't quite match the scent, but overall it's still an ok tea.
This is a really good dessert tea. Tastes like butterscotch and is sweet enough that you don't need to add any sugar to feel like you're treating yourself.

My second time ordering this one. It s a perfect wintertime tea, excellent with cream and sugar. The butterscotch flavor feels a bit more caramel to me, but totally different from the caramel in the caramel tea blend. I like this a lot mixed with spiced teas, and it adds a lovely quality to chai blends in particular. I d happily drink this again and again.
I got this for blending... the artificial butterscotch 'natural flavor' is pretty strong. I wouldn't brew it on its own.

This is lovely! I was confused about the apple pieces and rose hips, but they add a subtle sweetness. All I need is a bit of oat milk for a warm and comfy winter treat.
