★★★★★

Just a hint of butterscotch, not the overpowering taste of those butterscotch hard candies my grandmother had in her candy dish when we visited. Yummy almost toffee notes!

★★★★☆

A very sweet tea, my daughters love it with a little vanilla almond milk

★★★★★

Butterscotch tea satisfies my sweet fix. This tea is reminiscent of butterscotch hard candies with a wisp of butterscotch syrup without the cloying aftertaste. It is perfect for cold weather and wouldn't be bad with a splash of rum and a small pat of butter.

★★★★★

This was very tasty. Warm, smooth, and lovely for breakfast. It may not be different enough from Caramel to stock both in the cupboard, but it is definitely worth trying.

★★★★☆

This is the first black tea that I tried from Adagio & I really dig it. It has a strong, pleasant butterscotch aroma with a mellow flavor. This will probably end up in the morning rotation again at some point.

Just the fragrance when you open the bag is to die for!!! Is steeps a little more subtle than the smell, but still a great tea.

★★★★★

very delicious and fragrant tea. i highly recommend it.

★★★★☆

This tea tastes as advertised - a really rich butterscotch that pairs well with a little cream!

★★★★★

Fabulous winter treat on a rainy evening when you want something sweet. Great rich flavor!

★★★☆☆

Not my favorite taste. I expected a smoother, creamier butterscotch taste and was disappointed.

★★★★★

One of my favorites! This is a great dessert tea for a fall or winter day

★★★★★

Surprised how much I enjoy this. Very sweet. Desert in a cup.

★★★★★

By far my favorite tea. The flavor is rich. Added a little sugar and it was perfect. I will definitely buy this over and over.

I love this tea both on its own and combined with other flavors; my favorite is a combination of the butterscotch and maple creme oolong, with a splash of milk and sugar.

★★★☆☆

I don t usually drink black tea or flavored tea, so when I do, I want to taste it. This tea is...fine. There s not a lot of butterscotch flavor in this tea, which is disappointing because I love butterscotch. If this had more flavor, it would be ideal for blending. Unfortunately, I don t have much use for it since it doesn t taste of butterscotch.

★★☆☆☆

I don t know what I did wrong, but the taste was bitter for me, I followed the directions, and I ve been brewing tea for years, I will keep trying since I got a 3oz bag and don t want it to go to waste, but buyer be careful!

★★★☆☆

The smell when you open the package is strong, and exactly like a butterscotch candy. The smell when brewed is more subtle and loses all butterscotch vibes, it smells more like a fruity caramel. Which is exactly what it tastes like when still hot. As it cooled off, the fruitiness became more prominent, and I also started getting more floral notes (which I didn't care for). By the time I got to the bottom of the mug the tea was cold and the fruity/floral notes had calmed down, and I was getting a little of that butterscotch vibe. What a roller coaster drinking this tea is. I think I will experiment with the rest of the bag and try a cold brew and some sugar to see if that coaxes out more of the butterscotch and buttery notes that the description says it should have. Drinking this as a plain, hot tea did not really do it for me. Unless experimenting proves to make this more butterscotchy, I don't foresee buying it again.

I love this! It s delicious. It s a great way to wake in the morning! Yum

★★★★☆

Very strong butterscotch flavor (and scent - you can smell the tea leaves from a room away), but makes a good tea.

★★★★☆

Tasty enough but in my opinion it always needs creamer.

The tea has a strong and sweet-smelling scent but sadly falls short in taste.

It smells wonderful but doesn't taste as strong/sweet. Still very good with a little honey.

★★★☆☆

The butterscotch flavor in this tea does t quite taste like butterscotch. It was as sweet or buttery as I had expected. It wasn’t bad but definitely not my favorite.

Delicious, buttery-rich and deeply flavored. This tea shines with a splash of milk and sugar, or a little creamer. I love it and am absolutely buying more.

This is a staple sweet treat tea in my fall/winter afternoon. I have to be really careful not to over do it as this is so good. Blend it with Chocolate Truffle for something extra special.

★★★★★

this is now my favorite tea. going to blend it with others also. its wonderful

★★★★★

My fave! The butterscotch essence is so creamy and warm to the soul.

★★★★☆

The smell is spot on, exactly like butterscotch, but the flavor is a little weak. I drank it with a splash of oatmilk.

★★★★★

I got this as a free sample and just kind of shrugged at it and put it aside. Then I tried it a couple weeks later, and yum! I don't see myself waking up with this at breakfast, but it's a definite treat for a tough afternoon. Delicious with just a splash of milk (and stevia, if you're so inclined) .

Oh wow! Love, love, love this tea. Tastes lightly toasted. Bought it on my way to getting other teas and am very glad I took a detour.

It definitely has a butterscotch flavor to it. I only gave it 3 stars because I thought the flavor was a little bit too strong and I didn't personally care for that, but if you really like butterscotch, this is the tea for you!

★★★★☆

When I opened the packet, I could really smell the butterscotch/caramel flavor. I steeped it a little cooler than recommended at 190. I find that this cuts back the bitterness that a black tea can bring. I sweetened it with a little honey. I do wish more of the butterscotch flavor came out after steeping but overall it's a blend that I enjoy.

This was an impulse sampler purchase and I'm so glad we got it. It's smooth, buttery and wonderful to drink!!

★★★★★

A yummy tea. Wonderful flavor for waking up in the morning.

★★★★★

Such a great desert tea or when you're feeling like something a bit sweet.

★★★★★

Truly tastes like the candy it is named for! Love this tea!

Not so great. Smells strongly of butterscotch, but it doesn't taste like butterscotch at all. Even adding a large amount of the rock sugar to it didn't really help improve the flavor. Not planning to buy this one again

★★★★★

Loved this. Smells wonderful. Tastes sweet without being overpowering

★★★★★

I actually really, really like this. It has a strong scent and a moderately strong flavor. A lovely drink for fall.

★★★★★

I love this flavor. And oh what a heavenly aroma!

★★★★★

As the name suggests, butterscotch in black tea. I ve already ordered this twice over, and will do so again.

★★★★★

This tea is sweet and delicious. I like to mix it with the cream flavored tea for a milkshake in a tea form

★★★★☆

I really enjoyed the butterscotch undertones of this, as opposed to the more common caramel. This is a great option if you’re in the mood for something a little sweet, without the guilt.

Flavor is great and rather unique in a good way! It's not Butterscotch In Your Face, or cloyingly sweet like a butterscotch candy can be. It's subtle and you can taste the butterscotch on the back end of the tea.

Be forewarned - when they say 'High Caffeine', they're not kidding. This thing is a wonderful pick-me-up when you are sluggish, or first thing in the morning. Learn from my fail - be careful when drinking after 4pm unless you plan on partying all night!! <<laugh>>

Because of the high caffeine, this tea can have a little bit of a bitter edge to it. For those of us watching our calorie intake, I use stevia sweeteners and double it to take that edge off and add a little bit of non-dairy creamer to smooth out the flavor profile. I will be getting this again!

★★★★☆

The Butterscotch flavor is a very good tea. It's an enjoyable holiday tea.

★★★★★

Smooth and sweet. Add milk and sugar and it reminds me of my favorite sundae topping. Even my coffee-loving husband loves this tea!

★★★★★

Incredibly comforting, desserty tea. When I'm stressed out about starting the day, this is like a comforting pastry in a mug. I add a splash of creamy oat milk.

Such a rich deep flavor. It reminds of a certain drink associated with a movie with a boy wizard who has a theme park.

It tasted just as I had expected! Butterscotch is one of my favorite candies and now the tea is one of my favorites also!
