This really does taste like butterscotch. Although I’m not a huge fan of the candy, it’s a nice complement to black tea. It’s like butterscotch candies were melted in to sweeten the tea. I did add honey.

It's good! I wasn't expecting to like it as I prefer green teas. But I do like a Werther's once in awhile. :) This tastes strongly of butterscotch. I didn't get the chocolate from the cocoa nibs though. 3 min @ 212, a bit bitter, had to add honey to sweeten it up (next time I do black tea I'm def going to trying brewing at lower temps as some folks said to. My Lipton-teabag-dust-only-drinking-husband actually said 'that smells good!' and said it tasted good. I will convert him yet! >:)

i wasn't sure what to expect. butterscotch is a hit or miss thing for me. i was very pleasantly surprised. this tea has a brown sugar thing going on. buttery and sweet. not perfume-y or fake at all. it's dessert in a cup :-)

As a lover of butterscotch, I loved the smell as soon I opened the packet. Once brewed, I did need to add a bit of sweetener, but that’s more a function of most of the butterscotch I consume being the candy. Normally I am not big on chocolate in tea, I find it watery and earthy in a bad way, but in this, it adds a base note for the butterscotch to rest on.

CommuniTEA Sample: Outstanding dessert tea. The aftertaste is very much like the butterscotch candies I had as a kid, but not as sweet. Excellent flavor throughout and it is good plain as well as with a splash of cream. Excellent tea!

I’m not usually a fan of flavored blacks, but hold the phone! Butterscotch is here! It’s pretty delicious on its own but add some sweetener and WOWZA! It totally tastes like melted butterscotch drops in your cup. The smell is enchanting, so sugary and delightful. The black teaisn’t bitter like some of the Ceylon blends can be. I definitely would recommend this one if you like sweets and candy. Happy Sipping!

This was a delightful start to the morning! Held up to two steeps well and perfectly represented its description and expectations. The smell on opening the packet is a punch in the face of butterscotch. I might need to go ice the black eye it gave me. The taste itself tones that down and mellows out to a fabulous morning dessert.

This is a deliciously rich tasting and satisfying butterscotch tea. I was surprised to find cocoa nibs and rose hips in the blend. Whatever magic they do, they do it well to bring the sweet buttery taste to life giving the burnt sugar flavor a nice depth and a pleasant lift.

I liked this tea best hot. Chilled, it was delicious too. It becomes more dessert like, though, when sipped warm from a toasty mug. I used black tea honey to sweeten which heightened all flavors and satisfied my sweet tooth. The dry tea smelled heavenly and translated well to the flavor of the hot brown tea. All ingredients appeared to be in my CT packet including a few sunny marigolds. 3 g / 2 full tsp brewed at 195*F for 3 min. made a very tasty 15 oz. with no bitterness. A snap in the fall air today gave this tea a nice seasonal touch.

Sipping along with the CommuniTEA: strong butterscotch scents with subtle chocolate from the dry ingredients and packet. Once steeped for 3 mins at 190* F, I notice butterscotch fragrance from my cup. When I take a sip, the butterscotch flavor is a very strong main player almost cloying that transitions into a subtle creamy cocoa butter then into bitter dark chocolate and finishes with dry astringent black tea tannins with more butterscotch flavor.

This tea has a lot of different flavors that come out at different times - vanilla, cocoa, cream. They all blend together for a very sweet treat!

Delicious, smooth and creamy tea. Brewed at a slightly lower temperature to temper the black tea's bitterness, the butterscotch flavor came through really well. It's strongly aromatic too. This would be a fun one to make desserts with.

It's fine. The butterscotch taste isn't really to my liking.

This tea has a lovely buttery smell and the mix-in of yellow flowers make it look just beautiful. It has a sweet caramel taste which nicely compliments the black tea, but it brings a bit of a sticky aftertaste, not unlike a butterscotch candy, but not my favorite lingering mouthfeel for a tea. It tastes better with a little sugar, but milk masks the taste. It isn t a great stand-alone desert tea, and falls short of Adagio s Cream tea and other chocolate tea options. Still, fun to try as a novel treat.

Out of the bag, the tea has a creamier texture and smell than most flavors. Once steeped, it has a creamy, warm flavor that I can drink a whole pot of without thinking. Take that as you will.

This is my new favorite tea! The butterscotch flavor comes through perfectly, not too strong, but definitely noticeable. It smells lovely when you open the bag too. I enjoy this tea most mornings.

This is one of my favorites. If you also like the chocolate tea or chocolate almond milk it's worth mixing them. 😁

My first experience with Butterscotch was part of a blend (Jolly Roger) which made me want to try it on its own. The dry tea smells like a butterscotch candy, and tastes exactly the same when brewed. The caramelized notes from the butterscotch mix nicely with the cocoa nibs, resulting in a sweet cup without any additions. The rosehips help cut the sweetness a bit. I have been adding some Honeybush Banana Nut with it on its second steep to make my own Jolly Roger-type, and it mixes amazingly with the flavors. This is a great tea for when you want something warm and sweet, and maybe a bit nostalgic.

A decent dessert tea. It does need some lighteners (I use almond milk and agave) to bring out the sweet flavours.

It's candy. It's actual, literal candy. Like all of Adagio's dessert teas, I drink this one with milk and a sweetener. And it is, as advertised, like drinking a liquid butterscotch. So decadent.

Yummy. It smells like butterscotch and it is a little sweet, but not much. Very enjoyable and the smell helped wake me up in the morning.

this creates a very sweet smelling beverage whose aroma is true to the name. I enjoy it when I'm hunting the kitchen for a snack and choose this instead of a lot more calories. It has very little actual tea taste, though.

It taste like butterscotch when I added rock sugar. My eleven year old loves it and is asking for more. Its a great tea with cookies or just got done playing in the snow. Or if you just want something with a bitter sweet taste.
