I tried this in hopes of finding a tasty decaf black tea. This is just OK. Shifting from my morning brew of Yunnan Noir is a tough act to follow. Still it's 'good enough'.
Decaf black tea from Sri Lanka. Tangy, sweet mandarin notes, and balanced astringency. The classic afternoon cup.

A very good tasting decaf tea. Drink it every morning and most of the day and in the evening.
This is one of the first teas I tried in the regular tea and was really happy to get it in decaf form so I can drink it later in the day.
I like to be able to have a more fully bodies decaf black tea, and while the flavor IS more subdued than the regular Ceylon, I've been quite happy with this tea. I tend to steep it at 200 for 3 min. 212 felt like it took away some of the flavor and gave it a bit of a metallic taste.
Plain Ceylon tea is very good, but perhaps not quite as delicious as it's Chinese or Tiawanese counterparts. This decaf version is equally respectable.
I can’t drink caffeinated beverages, so this decaf blend reminds me of the days I could and my only option was Lipton. Good memories!
I bought this to use as a base for brewing my own chai concentrate. I haven't done that yet, but in the meantime, I discovered I love this tea! No bitterness or astringency, and it tastes great without adding any sweetener too!
A nice mild black tea, and like many decafs, you can steep it extra long without it getting too bitter, which is a plus for me since I tend to forget about my tea a lot!
Ceylon in general isn't normally my staple black tea, since I think it's so easy to over brew and get too much of that tannic bitterness/dryness. It also reminds me of the lower-quality grocery store black tea bags - not bad, but also not great. I normally prefer a more malty-sweet variety for sipping straight. But I do occasionally get a craving for a cup of tea after dinner, and this being decaf, hits the spot in a pinch brewed at 200 for 3 minutes. I wouldn't want higher quality varieties to go through the decaffeination process anyway, so I understand why Adagio went with ceylon as their decaf option.
Quite full bodied for a decaf tea. I wish Adagio had decaf breakfast teas, but this is a good substitute.
A simple black tea that's decaf. It has a little bit of sweetness to it and has zero bitterness. This is great to drink in the evening.
Great for an afternoon cuppa, particularly with all these holiday baked goods!
This has turned out to be my go-to tea when I don't want anything too fancy - if that makes sense. Lovely flavour that goes well with some milk, or without. Love to have it in the evenings and getting cosy before bed.
This tea is nice on it's own, but it's excellent as a base to mix with other flavors! It's really nice with peach or vanilla. Can't wait to try combining it with more things.
This is a great tasting tea! I use this to make Iced Tea that I can drink in the evening without worrying about caffeine that will keep me up. Tastes great hot or cold! Used it with a shot of whisky when I got COVID, lol.
A nice black tea that won't keep you up at night. Great with cream and can work as a iced tea.
My favorite decaf black tea - nice and smooth; not too bitter - at least to me!
This is a good Ceylon tea with or without caffeine. I love this bold decaf Ceylon, with some cookies.
Classic taste. One that most people might recognize.
It's hard to find a good decaf Ceylon. While others wax poetic here, I will stick to the facts: it's strong and good-tasting, and blends well (I use it to blend my own chai). It's a good price for a good tea.
Ordered this a number of times now, it's a great cup for when you want a nice black tea but it's late in the day.
This is a really good, basic decaf black tea. Works well alone, or mixed with a flavored tea.
Simple decaf black ceylon tea, nothing fancy. When you are tired of complex flavors, this is a must!
This is great for when I’m craving a strong “traditional-tasting” black tea. Would also probably taste great if used in boba milk tea!
One of my favorite teas I've gotten from Adagio! Love that it's available as decaf.
great decaf tea...this is my go to everyday tea and it's great with a flavored tea and a little sugar
A very good no caffeine tea, my mother can't have caffeine so it's good for her
This is now my 'go-to' for decaf tea. It does not taste like decaf at all. Black tea is one of my favorites and the flavor is delicious.
I drink decaf at night and many times a decaf tea tastes like a weak version of it's caffinated parent. This does not. It is full and tastful and I highly recommend.
I couldn't tell it wasn't caffeinated, unlike many decaf coffees that taste completely different.
a lovely, flavorful Ceylon black tea that won't keep you up. Properly decaf, yet properly flavorful and relaxing.
At last, a decaf black tea that doesn't leave you disappointed. Decaf Ceylon holds its ground. It's robust and delicious with the high tanning of a bold black tea. Best in class- the only decaf black tea we buy. Now we can enjoy black tea any time of day or night! Amazing with a splash of cream or just plain black.
A very nice decaf tea - perfect for after dinner. I like it with a little sugar and milk for dessert.
This is one of the best decaf teas that I've had - it's more bland than caffeinated tea, but that is to be expected. It is best with a little sugar and oat milk.
So, its decaf. Its ok. Not great but when you need a decaf it works! @adagioteas
not a bad ceylon, just a bland and basic one. not much to unpack. if that is your intent then this will work for you
Smooth, no bitterness, even though it is decaf, it still has good flavor that isn't watered down as so many decafs tend to be, one of my preferred teas.
Great option for a late afternoon cup. Nice and brisk, wouldn't guess it was decaf if I didn't know.
Great flavored black tea, great with a light desert, it's our go to evening tea
Awesome decaf stand black tea. I love it with anything
A fair deal less flavorful than I was expecting. It smells like black tea in the bag, but is very weak. I have been brewing it double strength, and almost twice as long as reccommended, in order to get a good strong cup.
Great hot or cold as a traditional ice tea. A very nice tasting black decaf.
Definitely one of my favorite afternoon and evening teas. Perfect with a touch of sugar and some almond milk. @adagioteas
It's okay but... still a decaf. I don't know what it is about decaf teas but they all have a distinctive flavor that I don't care for much in the same way all sugar substitutes have that saccharin after-taste. I keep some on hand for those occasions when I want a single cup. Otherwise, I'll just decaf a pot of regular black tea.
Great evening tea! I run it a little stronger as decaf seems a bit on the weaker side for known reasons.
A lovely tea and perfect in the evening when I don’t want to be up all night!
This is a VERY light tea. I typically prefer mine 'oversteeped' but this one never reaches that point and I can leave it in my travel mug all day without getting bitter. So soft and smooth and mellow!
Bought as a gift for my mother who is sensitive to caffeine. She enjoyed it and will likely continue to drink it
Good, solid black decaf tea. Decafs never taste as strong to me, so I let it steep just a bit longer. This is a great option when I just need some iced tea, but don't want the caffeine.
This has become my 'Go-to' decaf in the evenings. Great when you want a bold tea without the punch!
