Nice simple black tea before bedtime to wined down to.
Decaf black tea from Sri Lanka. Tangy, sweet mandarin notes, and balanced astringency. The classic afternoon cup.

Nice simple black tea before bedtime to wined down to.
Sometimes you just feel like a good black tea in the evening. Thanks to Adagio's Decaf Ceylon, we can enjoy black teas any time day or night.
straightforward and yummy for everyday drinking, with a balanced astringency that lets it pair with milk and sugar if you like--or not if you don't. A fantastic afternoon tea, for when I'm needing to limit my caffeine intake.
Our go-to decaf black tea. Aroma, body, flavor all pleasing.
This is my go-to decaf black tea for hot or iced. Love it.
It's not bad; it has an alright flavor, but unfortunately it's definitely nothing special or particularly high-quality.
Excellent caffeine-free black tea option. It is actually a little too astringent for me, but it is the only plain black tea that is decaf. I use extra honey and lemon to even out the astringency, and I can drink it until bed time!
I use this in my decaf chai blend and just made a latte out of it - goes super well with milk and sugar. A favorite now!
This is usually my morning GoTo tea! I like the fact that it is a plain black tea, but not without delectable flavor.
This tea has a complex flavor. It’s one of my favorites for winter as it has a calming and relaxing flavor.
Love it so much! Adagio is the best brand of tea !!!
This is the most delicious decaf black tea. It’s earthy, mild, and really hits the spot.
I acutaly use this to blend with some herbal teas. I like herbal tea but I prefer some actual te in the blend so using the decaf Ceylon is a perfect addition.
I like to mix this tea with other flavours (eg 1:1 with Blood Orange makes a really good orange-flavoured black tea). But it's also really good by itself. Has a malty taste and not too astringent. And because it's decaf, I can drink it as my evening tea.
A nice black tea - being decaffeinated was a bonus. CT 11/19/2023
I had never had decaf tea that had been decaffeinated through this process before. I always found other ones to have an unpleasant taste. I am happy to say that this tastes just like regular black tea. Perhaps if I had a caffeinated cup to taste right next to it I could tell the difference, but without it it just tastes like a wonderful cup of black tea.
Today’s tea was very good. It made a nice mid morning cup.
This is a good tea for people who are sensitive to caffeine. It has great flavor!
UPDATED from 5/7/21: There is a slight aroma of malt as the CommuniTEA packet opens. It steeps (at a lower temp) to create an amber liquid. This is a unique black tea, because it has a flavor that is sweet and creamy. I honestly thought I was drinking a flavored tea, but this is a simple ceylon black tea. Luckily it is decaf. I add ¼ teaspoon of sweetener (to 10 oz) and the malty/fruitiness really comes forward. This has zero bitterness, and steeps more than once. Second steep I add a small amount of heavy whipping cream, and it holds up well to the addition. This tea is great as it cools, too. Who knew a simple black tea could be so delicious? (3 mins @ 200ºF + sweetener & cream).
Another one that I really enjoy. Lighter than most black tea but full of caramel taste. Would get this again for a lighter option.
Nice! I prefer lower-caffeine teas, and I like a good ceylon, so this is a really good workhorse sort of tea. Nothing to complain about here!
90 sec @ 160. Smooth and soft mouthful. No bitterness or astringency. I would like this over ice as a classic unsweetened iced tea.
Smells and looks like regular ceylon. I may have over seeped a little as my cup was a bit bitter. Love that there is a decaf option of black tea.
decent basic black tea, If I didn't know it was a decaf I wouldn't have known, tt.
Great straight up black tea. Steeped at low temp. Not bitter. Great with and without sweetener. I love the decaf teas so that I can have after dinner
It's a nice black tea. Love that this is decaf. Would recommend for those trying to cut caffeine.
Honestly, this just tastes like an ordinary black tea. Pretty boring. It would probably blend well with other ingredients though.
These decaf black teas are wonderful for late afternoon or evening. Smooth and goes great with cream and sugar.
A classic black tea. I enjoyed my cup with a splash of milk.
A nice tea. I added some oat milk and loved it. This is an excellent decaf option.
Pleasant malty aroma coming from my comminiTEA packet today. Once brewed, the flavor was malty and earthy. As aftertaste, it has a mild pleasant astringency.
Adagio's decaf teas are very smooth, and decaf Ceylon has all of the flavors of a 'normal' Ceylon without the caffeine. It is good on its own, and is also great as a base for blends.
No complaints about this tea; but if I am reaching for a plain black tea to drink, this wouldn't be the one. There is nothing special about it other than it's decaf, which I can appreciate. However, this is a good tea to blend with, so I would not count it out entirely. I would give it 3 1/2 stars.
A simple black decaf tea. Perfect if you want something plain or something to make a decaf blend.
A little bit of malt, some bright citrus, and overall a nice sipping experience. I like Adagio's decaf versions of pretty much anything better than the caffeinated version. The plain Ceylon is no exception. Steeped 3 min @ 195ª.
Nice solid black tea. Good to have some reliable decaf options. I would consider keeping this around, but there are so many yummier options, like blueberry, that I would choose first.
Very dry, but has a lovely flavor that makes for a delicious hot milk tea. My go-to staple to mix with other teas when I don't want too much caffiene.
This is a wonderful tea, full of flavor! I was worried that being decaffeinated the flavor wouldn't be as strong but it's perfect. Love it!
For a decaffeinated tea, this tea has plenty of character and a stronger flavor profile than I expected.
A nice light tea that makes perfect iced tea. I drank it all summer by brewing it hot and then chilling it in the fridge. Took well to any fruit additives like muddled peaches or lemon, as well as plain with honey. Pleased everyone I served it to. Will buy again next summer for sure!
Enjoyed this with a piece of pie tonight. Nice to have a simple black tea in decaf. Please consider oolong and green simple decaf selections as well.
Great tea for the evening! I love the punch of black tea but not the caffeine at night. It’s a great add to my tea cupboard!
I can’t have caffeine so this is my daily go to for tea. So good. I also add peppermint for a twist!
Lovely flavor, good decaf option! Also makes a great iced tea.
I really love the caff version of Ceylon Sonata for iced tea, so I had high hopes for this — which were mostly met. It doesn’t taste exactly the same, but if I didn’t know it was decaf I probably wouldn’t guess.
Given as a gift to a friend who liked Ceylon Sonata but wanted something without caffeine. They really enjoy this in the evening with milk and sugar, and say it has a nice flavor with no bitterness. It’s their new favorite decaf.
I have been trying to find a few Decaf teas that i can actually enjoy since I am having to cut back on caffeine.. This was surpringly delicious
I enjoy mixing this decaf with other teas when I want the flavor but not the caffeine. It is good on it's own or mixed with our teas such as chai, peach, or any flavor.
This is a great decaf alternative for me when I want black tea in the evening. I don't often drink a lot of black tea, but when I do, it's usually this one.
Adagio's ceylon is my go-to plain black tea for when I just want something simple. The flavor of the decaf is very close to the original.
