Description
Like the dance that inspired its name, our Foxtrot tea is an overnight success that will leave you giddy with joy. It is an herbal cocktail of Egyptian chamomile, South African Rooibos and fresh peppermint leaves. A soothing blend of familiar tastes that produces a pleasantly original combination. It is entirely caffeine-free. The spring in your step is due entirely to its enticing taste.
Story
The Foxtrot dance originated with the vaudeville actor Harry Fox. The New York Theatre was being converted into a movie house in 1914, and decided to add vaudeville acts between shows. Harry Fox was asked to put on a dancing act. Part of it included trotting steps performed to ragtime music. The people who saw it, began referring to it as "Fox's Trot." And soon, all the dance masters in New York were advertising foxtrot lessons. The dance is characterized by long, gliding and perfectly smooth steps.
"Light in color but not in scent! Before and during the steeping process the scent is like nothing I have ever smelled before. There is so much going on here! It's Chamomile but better...minty but with other influences jumping in...herbal but not medicine-smelling...even smells a little fruity or even like a vegetable garden at times. Pleasant to look at and smell. The taste is refreshing yet calming. I really enjoy this one...maybe even so much so that it's my new fave nighttime or bedtime tea..."
"This tea is delicious, even though I'm not a big fan of any of the ingredients in tea on their own. This gets me right to sleep, even though I live in a noisy college dorm!"
"Complex, great aroma. Good breakfast tea, also nice in the afternoon."
"Not a fan of chamomile or mint teas, but this is amazing! Some sort of synergistic balance with this herbal blend. Can't really describe the taste. Highly recommended!"
"After years of drinking teas from tea bags, I finally wanted to get into loose leaf teas. This was the first tea I tried. Wow is all I can say. When you first open the bag, the smell is amazing, I almost wanted to eat it. It smelled a little like caramel mint. I brewed it for 8 minutes, and absolutely loved it. Never had rooibos but it definitely added something. It was a little sweet and full bodied with a zingy mint aftertaste. First tea from adagio, they've already won a fan for life. "
"One of my favorites. I love the relaxing combination, especially when not feeling well."
