Very delacate tea. Great alternative to green tea when I want something different

I really love this tea! I used to drink exclusively green teas but I, unfortunately, had to cut back on the caffeine so I switched to white teas. This is my favorite. I don't add any milk or sweeteners and this is perfect on it's own. Never bitter and smells wonderful.

soft, highly fragrant and delicious tea if you like white tea.

★★★★★

Light and delicate, the floral of the peony makes it almost sweet without being overbearing like rose or hibiscus might. It's not something I would drink every day, but I certainly wouldn't say 'no' to it, either.

★★★★☆

A very good white tea. Smooth, clean taste. I think I still love others best tho.

★★★★☆

Smells floral and has a very delicate flavor. I don't think it's something I'll get again, I prefer the White Peach to this, mostly because the flavor is more prominent.

A nice, basic white tea, delicately flavored and a bit floral

★★★★☆

Perfect and soft flavor. I get multiple steeps from a single serving.

★★★★☆

I noticed a significant difference in the first two bags I ordered (a few months apart), and even between cup to cup (there's a wide range of leaf size, color, and stem content). In the latter bag, the smell reminds me of dried leaves from the lawn. Once wet, they take on a sweeter smell. Rinsing the leaves briefly in hot water before steeping seems to help the flavor. Resteeping tends to be noticeably more astringent. Steeping at a lower temperature helps too.

We enjoy this every single morning with our breakfast.

★★★☆☆

It's not a strong flavor but I was expecting that. It might,, in the end, be my lack of expertise in brewing white tea but I felt like it was missing something. I didn't get any of the fruity or floral notes. I got something that was between green tea and oolong tea but without the wonderful earthy taste which I love so it was a bit of a miss for me.

I liked this tea so much I bought a very large bag of it is he second time around. I drink this tea most nights because it's easy on the stomach.

★★★☆☆

A slight spearmint aroma in the packet. I accidentally brewed this at 190, and it is a little darker than other white teas... a dark straw color. Aroma and flavor are typical for the style. I don’t notice any peony or other floral aspects.

I love this tea so much I got custody of it in my divorce. The bags are beautiful and perfectly balanced. The loose tea has huge leaves so I worry about my ability to portion it correctly, but I love every cup. It has never been bitter, even when the water is too hot.

★★★★★

One of my favorite white teas, white peony is delicate and slightly sweet. I definitely get a light melon taste, with cucumber undertones. This tea is perfect to drink in any season, and works well in a gaiwan.

★★★★★

I love a good white tea and this one is now included. Fragrant, get light and will all of the melon-ey sweetness promised (I got honeydew) I’m a fan. 4 @ 190 (I like it strong).

★★★★★

The scent of this tea in the packet is reminiscent of sweet flowers. Brewed, it's fragrant with an undertone of sweet spring vegetables. I was a big fan of this one! (3 mins @ 180 F, no additions)

I hadn't had white peony before, and I was excited to try it!  The first steep was woodsy in a fresh twiggy kind of way, crisp, clean, delicate, just a tiny bit astringent, a bit savory, richer than I expected, and at first only slightly floral.  The fresh floral notes came through as it cooled esp in the finish, which makes me think next time I'll let it cool a bit before I start sipping.  The second steep was actually better than the first, and bumped it up to five stars!  Flavors were similar, but it felt softer and became distinctly buttery!  Not at all buttery in the first steep.  Sadly didn't have time for a third steep, but maybe next time!  I'm looking forward to trying this again to see if I get a better handle on what I'm tasting.  (3 mins @ 180º for both steeps)

Light, mellow, but complex enough to be interesting to drink.

★★★★☆

Nice and light green tea. I enjoyed the light flavour.

Light, smooth, refreshing and delicate. I enjoyed with a little bit of stevia.

★★★★★

Savory and complex, this is a tea that l find best very lightly steeped, so it’s full of mystery and beautiful subtlety

★★★☆☆

The dry tea has a deep and mellow smell; not exactly sweet but like sun-dried raisins, and a bit buttery. Brewed, it has a kind of odd, musky earth smell. It almost reminds me of a Pu'erh! 3 min @ 180.
The tea has a fullbodied and smooth mouthfeel; with a simple earthy profile. If I leave it on my tongue I get a bit of a tingle but unlike other white teas like kumaon, there is no sweetness at the end of it. Nonetheless, a good staple tea.
I added a few sprinkles to my cup and it changed the mouthfeel to be a bit less full but creamier; and it brought out some of the bitter notes which I actually kind of liked? Made it more complex.

Light, delicate tea. It was even better when chilled.

★★★★☆

Slightly woody and green. The grassiness is very mild.

★★★★★

I enjoyed this in my chawan and drank through my bombilla. Light and delecate with a slight dry mouth feel. This would be so refreshing iced as well.

Light and refreshing. The leaves were so pretty too!

★★★★☆

I'm not sure if I like this tea or not. I'm leaning more towards the like. I don't really taste that much, but I like what I think I'm tasting. It does last for several steeps, which is nice. Tried as part of The Communitea.

★★★★★

Honestly I love this tea. It’s so calming and soothing—exactly what I need after a long day of work.

★★★★☆

This was a decent light tea. It had a slight green tea smell, but none of the fishy flavors came through. It had a nice slightly floral flavor, with mild minerally notes. Held up well for a second steep, and probably would have done a third as well. I did increase the steeping time to 5 minutes so more flavor came through.

This white peony tea was very good. The full green leaf tea made a beautiful golden brew of tea. It is a delightful tea.

★★★★☆

mild tea, no bitterness, slightly fruity, slight nut notes.

★★★★☆

I've had this one before! I like it a lot, this leans on the greener side of white and can be a little strongly astringent if steeped at too high a temperature. At 175 this is just right. It's not nearly as floral as you might expect from the name, but it's nice if you find that the average white tea doesn't have enough flavor for you.

Nice, delicate flavor. Nice with a little sweetener.

★★★★★

Absolutely delicious. This tea, like most white teas, is subtle, but this variety has this lingering sweetness that is somewhat floral, somewhat fruity. It's definitely one of my favorite CommuniTEAs this month.

Wow, this is so naturally sweet with a bit of natural syrup consistency. I'm buying in bulk, for sure!! I love it!

Light green floral aroma. Subtle, sweet and delicate in flavor.

Such a light and delicate flavor, definite floral notes were detected. This makes for a perfect after lunch cup for me. It offers a pleasing simplicity and acts as a nice palate cleanser.

★★★★★

usually I have white tea belended with other things; this is my first experience with it straight. I liked it. It kind of reminded me of white wine. Is that weird? Good hot or iced and of course a canvas to blend your favorite flavors with. I sampled this Tea as part of the CommuniTEA November box.

Slightly more savory flavor than I was expecting, but in a very good way! It's hard to describe the difference in character between white and green tea, though of course they are more similar to each other than they are to black tea. A very pleasing, delicate cup on an afternoon

Part of the November 2020 CommuniTEA box. Light and flowery, quite an austere tea.

★★★★★

This is a lovely refreshing tea, with a soft mouthfeel and very little astringency. It starts off with gentle vegetal artichoke flavor dominating, and the taste shifts toward sugary notes as it cools.

It was still very tasty at the bottom of my large mug, so I found that finishing those last few cold swallows was a pleasure, not just a way to make room for another brew.

A very pleasant CommuniTEA pick!

A very fine and delicate tea. Woodsy but not harsh. Like the original Chinese tea that is not diluted by sugar or cream. Just delightful. 💗💗💗💗💗

★★★★★

this is a lovely, light tea! Whites always seem much more delicate and subtle to me, but are quite rewarding if brewed right. This one is smooth and light with a hint of floral sweetness and a lovely taste at sips end. I think this must be close to a perfect tea, good to drink all day long, simple, subtle and lovely.

This is a very pleasant, smooth white tea. It's also extremely light on flavor to the point that I was wondering if I could taste anything at all. A second steeping produced a cup that was very similar to the first. (3 min @ 180°F)

I always love a nice delicate tea, and White Peony is perfect! Slightly sweet and so smooth! This is a great tea for those days where you don't want any strong flavors. Steeped at 180 for 3 minutes, no sweetener added.

I like this tea. It has a buttery, smooth feel to it. The scent is floral and the taste is fruity and floral. Refreshing and easy to drink.

Very nice delicate floral tea. Doesn’t taste perfume-y so it’s great.

★★★★☆

In the bag, I smell a floral and delicate scent. When tasting it, it's still delicate, with a creamy touch and a little sweet (not as much as the Silver Needle). Very good tea!

★★★★☆

A refreshingly light, delicate smooth aroma and taste. No bitterness even if steeped a bit longer than recommended. No need for any sweet or creamy additions as it is refreshing all on its own.
