This was one of the first white teas I ever had. The taste is too mild for me, and I have since moved off of whites all together.
White tea from Fujian, China. White Peony, also known as Pai Mu Tan, is a sweet, mild tea made from unopened tea buds, as well as the two newest leaves to sprout. Warm and floral like fruit blossoms. Golden liquor, succulent floral-fruit flavor.

This was one of the first white teas I ever had. The taste is too mild for me, and I have since moved off of whites all together.
I adore the light taste of this tea. This is the kind of drink you would watch a morning sunrise with, and just be aware of everything around you.
The tea itself is also very visually nice. It's sure to grab a few comments.
You must be very watchful while steeping this tea, but it's all worth it - such a light, delicate flavour! It's really refreshing.
Really it taste so good. I had not really had white tea before this, but I am very well pleased with it. I highly enjoy the flavor it gives and it smells amazing.
Delicious! This is a light tea with a very subtle sweetness. Perfect late-morning tea.
I went into this thinking it was going to be a lightly floral tea, but it has a very distinctly earthy aroma and a more full-bodied flavor than I was expecting. It's not a very layered tea, however, and I think that's its downfall. I'd certainly buy the tea again and likely will, but it's more of a 'I gotta run and I'll bring some tea along' instead of a 'sit and savor and contemplate' kind of tea.
Very fruity, everyday tea. Will make skeptics of white tea understand the depth and difference of flavors from green and black teas.
As my first white tea, I must say that I was very pleasantly surprised. If you're just getting into loose leaf, unsweetened tea, then you'll find this a lot more accessible than drinking bitter, darker, black tea. It's definitely very flavorful and sweet. This definitely makes a good competitor to jasmine as my daily tea.
This was just ok for me. Just a pretty standard white tea. Nothing overly special about it. It lacks the complex flavors that other white teas offer. But still a decent cup if you're looking for a good place to start. Perfect for mixing with other flavors. Yields multiple steeps.
Aroma: Pleasant, comforting, a light clove type smell.
Flavor: Unique, a mellow spice. This is not high on my list as an everyday tea because I don't want it to lose it's uniqueness. If I drink it daily it will be more normal to me. One poster talked about this be reminiscent of an oolong in flavor and I agree with that in that it has a more striking flavor than most white teas have.
Tea Leaves: 2.5gm per 100 ml
This tea is delicate, yet flavorful. It has hints of natural sweetness, and is just an all around great white tea. Makes great iced tea!
It has a lovely flowery flavor. I didn't like the first cup, but I think I oversteeped it. It's a delicate tea. Very clean taste. I feel good after.
Upon opening the bag, I was detected a light aroma of strawberries with a hint of perhaps raspberry. The leaves themselves were somewhat disappointing
Really crisp, clean flavor. Maybe had a strange batch, but there seemed to be a bit of a metallic aftertaste. Oh well, delicious nonetheless.
I haven't had very good experiences with white teas, but this one has a pleasant and gentle taste that changed my mind.
When they say a light tea they aren't kidding. The leaves smell so nice when you open the package but that disappears once brewed. I did like this tea though.
I loved the sweet aroma and the beautiful color. This is probably one of my new favorite white teas.
Brews much more golden, and stronger flavor than Silver Needle. Stronger flavor adds for a more wake up factor. Excellent mid-day cup. My second favorite white tea.
Good with a light nutty almost bitter-sweet flavor. Different than what I would typically expect from a white.
Nothing to write home about. I much prefer silver needle.
This was a mild, naturally sweet, wonderfully floral scented white tea. I got 2 good steeps out of a tablespoon.
What a beautiful, gentle, soothing tea. Just lovely. At the top of my favorites list.
This is a dream of a white tea. Has a sort of peachlike flavor to it. Super smooth and velvety.
i like white tea and i love the jasmine silver needle but i didnt care for this one too much didnt have enough flavor
This is a great white tea and makes a nice change from the more fruity whites like peach and pear. It's nice for something of a palate cleanser since it doesn't have a super strong taste.
LOVE this! Subtle and smooth, it is an absolutely perfect addition to my daily blend - and also satisfyingly yummy, warm, and cozy on its own.
I'm very naive when it comes to white teas and prefer stronger blends myself. Even I can clearly tell this is a quality tea, very smooth and light 'clean' taste with a tad touch of grassiness. Sugar would likely kill it as it's naturally sweet on its own. Uplifting and refreshing, just not something I'd drink normally as I enjoy more flavor. Going to retry soon by steeping longer and adding even more tea than just 2 tbs.
White peony is an incredibly smooth tea! Brew it just as the package says, and you won't be disappointed.
Delicate, warming, delicious: all I could ask for in a white tea. I prefer to brew this one in the evenings, as black tea has a nasty tendency to keep me awake at night.
A delicious mild white tea, exactly what i was hoping for
This is my go-to white tea. Mild-tasting with just enough caffeine.
My sister LOVES this tea - it's right up there with Chamomile in her favorites.
great and fresh also i like the testy ... amazing
This is a lovely white tea. Lite and just what I expected (which is a good thing, in this case). Just be careful not to over steep it, or it turns bitter very quickly.
Very nice, light tea. I prefer a bit stronger white tea but this one is great in the evening when you want to wind down and relax. Not disappointed with this tea at all.
Not a bad white tea, but a little too bland for my taste. I think I'm more of a green/black tea person. Though I do enjoy the flavor of the white blueberry tea.
This is an absolutely wonderful tea for the price. I prefer it over most green teas because it is not grassy at all, but it also isn't fruity like many white teas. It's a perfectly balanced and simple tea.
Not my favorite but ok as a back-up. Didn't find as smooth as silver needle or as flavorful as some of the infused blends. Just a matter of taste.
white peony is a very clean, smooth white tea with a floral/fruity taste. I like this tea but in my opinion white symphony is much better.
I'd drink this tea all day if I could. I think it's a much better value than silver needles.
I like this. It's a subtle tea, but good for slow, relaxing cup. It's not the most flavorful of teas, but it's just enough for a nice scent and a subtle flavor.
a little lite in the flavor department, but still tasty.
Tastes like I'm drinking a flower, and if you like that sort of thing this is spot on...
Nice light pleasant taste. Healthful and good tasting.
This has a wonderful light flavor. There is very little after taste. I can get about two infuses before the flavor is too watered down.
With the darker leaves, this lends a nutty smell, making for a nice variation on the white.
I never drink white teas, so I thought I'd give this one a try based on the positive reviews. Honestly, all I tasted was... grass? Very vegetative taste, like a green tea, which I'm not a fan of.
Not as good as silver needle, but this is reflected in the price disparity. I would go with white monkey instead.
This is a very crisp and clean tasting tea. All around balanced flavor, and great for sipping by itself. Very subtle flavors, but may not be strong enough for someone who likes strong teas.
Great white tea, a little less subtle than other 'whiter' teas like Silver Needle, but eminently drinkable. Unusual for a white tea, it is slightly oxidized, which helps impart a fuller flavor, and provides a similar drinking experience to lightly oxidized oolongs like Pouchong or Ti Guan Yin. Infuses to a golden yellow liquor with hints of floral flavors, it's a great summer afternoon tea.
