I tried this tea for the first time today and I absolutely love it!It has a lovely light, flowery flavor to it.
White tea from Fujian, China. White Peony, also known as Pai Mu Tan, is a sweet, mild tea made from unopened tea buds, as well as the two newest leaves to sprout. Warm and floral like fruit blossoms. Golden liquor, succulent floral-fruit flavor.

I tried this tea for the first time today and I absolutely love it!It has a lovely light, flowery flavor to it.
Very light and easy to drink. Great to share with friends who are new to white tea.
This tea was not what I was expecting at all. Since it's a white, I thought it'd be a little weak flavored, but it's actually robust and full - it tastes more like a green to me than a white. I love it.
This is my favorite white tea. It has just enough flavor. Be warned though, 1oz of this will go really quickly.
white teas are fast become my favourite teas and the subtle floral flavour in this one is so good.
Very nice tea, jasmine silver needle and this tea are tied for my second favorite white tea after white symphony.
This has no good flavor to it. I dont know if I got some bad batch or something, but its the most boring thing to drink
I was new to tea and gave white tea a shot as a beginner and was surprised by the flavor. At first, I couldn't taste the difference between the tea and a hot cup of water. Now,the more I drink it, I can taste the faint floral sweetness that reminds me of drinking honey out of a flower.
So much more flavor than Silver Needle, and very earthy. After I tried the sample, I immediately ordered a larger bag. This will be my every day tea!! Just amazing smell and color!
this tea has a subtle flavor, I prefer the silver needle
Lovely tea! It is very similar to silver needles in my opinion. The brewing color and smell are pretty close. The taste is close as well, although white peony has a bolder taste, while silver needles are more subtle and sweeter. I am very happy with my purchase. If you are new to white tea or have never tried white peony, I suggest giving it a shot. The price is very reasonable as well.
I love the subtle, barely-there nature of the peony in this tea. It is probably the best afternoon tea in my pantry right now, very nice to have with something sweet, or just by itself as you read a nice book.
Maybe I just prefer the delicateness of white tea, but I didn't find this week at all, and I enjoyed it far more than any straight black I've tried in recent years. I give this two thumbs up, and will definitely try again~
The white peony is a good, light white tea. I do prefer, however, white tea with additional flavors. It tends to be a bit too plain otherwise, but at least it's refreshing.
A great tea to celebrate the start of spring. Subtle, like the first delicate blooms of the season.
I really love this tea. It's a new favorite. White teas are my favorite and this is up there on the best white I have had! Very light, yet, it has a full smooth flavor. Both floral and robust. It's a great tea to have at any time of day (I like to have it while I am in a study group or a staff meeting). Very similar to silver needle. The aroma is also really good!
A nice mild tea, not much more to say. Smooth and easy to drink
First white tea I've tried. Very smooth and subtle, not quite like the other teas I ordered but I can see a lot of people liking it.
I got my sample of this tea today, and I really like it. It has a subtle flavor, not much of an aroma that I can tell. (so no, doesn't smell like peony) But for me, it's a very comforting, light tasting tea, and I will have to order some.
This tea is not my favorite, but it is still good. it has a very light flavor
Very smooth tea. The smell is wonderfuly fragrant, floral, out of the bag and as it brews. This smell remains. The tea itself is a lovely golden color, with floral and almost...watery? clean...I can't describe it...notes. The taste is something you taste more on the palate than on the tongue and there's a pleasent, almost...slightly salty aftertaste. I love this tea, it's so unique!
A very delicate tea. As others have said it's like a green tea but even milder, but not so mild that it's pointless. Got it as a sample but dang I might pick this up as a purchase later.
This tea has a fuller flavor compared to Silver Needle. Beautiful golden color with a slightly fruity flavor. Wonderful tea!
Very smooth, light flavor. A nice mellow white tea. It's also very light, so if you're a fan of strong flavor you may not like it quite as much. However, very delicious!
Not the best white peony around in the tea world unfortunately.
This is the first white tea I had from adagio Tea's and it was very different from my usual black tea. This is a very light tea with a subtle floral flavor.
I expected this to be a whole lot more floral, but the usual grassy flavour of the white tea takes a lot away from it -- shame. It's still a beautiful, light white tea, and I really like it, but I do wish there'd have been more peony to it.
I liked this one and a rating of good is very fitting. I can't discern any specific smells or flavors, and I find this one to be a little less buttery and a little less smooth than the Silver Needle (which is my absolute favorite white tea). White Peony does have a pleasant taste and finishes nicely. I may not order this one again right away, but would not shy away from it in the future.
Soft and a light white tea with a subtle flowery taste. Used the recommended serving size and temp as indicated by adiago. The tea is a little on the light side for me.
I really like this tea. Flavorful, but not overpowering.
Nice light tea for the afternoon. It's has sweet and mild taste. Try a sample today and see how you like it.
I wish this tea was stronger. It's so light and floral and smells just like honey suckle!
I am a big fan of your teas. This one didn't really speak to me. I found it to be very weak and lacking flavor. Not bad ..just not anything I would reorder.
I generally find that most teas have such a subtle taste that I hardly notice them. But I like noticeable flavors in my tea. This tea has a mild, pleasant floral/fruity taste that isn't too subtle.
This is a very good white tea. It has a light body with a slight sweet and floral taste. I like to drink it hot with some manuka honey.
Fresh and soft. Very good with honey and have a very floral scent and taste to them!
Very delicate, very sweet. It's an extremely light cup of tea. I'm wondering if this is better served iced rather than hot.
This is the first white tea I've tried (thanks for the free samples with an order!) and I'll be ordering more in the future. Very light and a little sweet.
Great steep. Very sweet. Broken leaves could have been packaged better, but flavor was there.
An good basic white tea, though perhaps with a slightly too-light flavor, even for a white tea.
I'm not a tea expert but I do love tea with that said white peony is nice but as a hot tea..well if u sweeten it past maybe 1 1/2 spoonful of sugar it can become to sweet I think this would make a very nice iced tea tho.so Im gonna try that and see how that goes..
nice floral scent. very clean. almost reminds me of a green tea.
It tasted wonderful! While the peony itself is kinda sweet and floral it does taste like a cross between a green and oolong tea rather than a white tea. Initially it is very light in flavor so I steeped it am extra minute rather than just 5
I really Like this tea, I noticed that it's taste, to me, is similar to that of white symphony. But smell of the tea-wise I like the white peony better.
I really enjoyed this tea, simply. I say 'good' instead of 'great' because while I like the taste, it's not something I'd order FREQUENTLY. But I'm sure those that are more fond of this sort of tea would easily give it a 5/5. :)
A decent white tea but not as sweet/sugary/fruity as Silver Needle or White Symphony.
I was actually slightly surprised to find this tea. The description fit exactly what a friend of mine wanted, so I got it for her for Christmas.
This tea is quite delicious and refreshing. Really helps warm you up.
I took the advice here and tried the White Peony as my first real White Tea experience - loved it. I get at least 2 infusions, as others have mentioned - so it ends up being a great value, too. It's a 'soft' tea, in my opinion - no bitterness or toasty-ness. Very refreshing, even when hot. I love this as an everyday tea! Ordering more now, in fact. Thanks for the reviews - they really do help!
I have enjoyed this tea...iced with sugar. Its floral and light and very refreshing.
