A really pleasant, mild, sweet cup of tea. White tea can be kind of hit or miss for me, and I don’t like a lot of flavors added on top of white tea, so this one was perfect. I’ve been looking forward to this one since I got the Communitea box. I’ll probably order a full size of this one.

This was a different tea from the last time I tried it. There was a nice light tea flavor, no bitterness or strong undertones, just a pleasant cup of tea.

Very light, smooth, and delicate tea. Naturally sweet tasting with a light but forward floral/fruit profile. It is a very nice tea. If you are like me, I drank the entire cup without even realizing it.

Update: 4/15/24 Much better this time around, steeped at a little cooler temp for a bit longer, added a little sugar and it really brought out the flavor. Original review: Not bad by any means, just not a lot going on here. Sort of weak in flavor

This is a lovely white tea, a little floral and fruity in a way that makes me surprised it's not a flavored tea every time I taste it! This is definitely one I look forward to in the CommuniTEA rotation!

This light tea is SO good. It’s a nice break from teas with more heavy notes and complexity.

4/15/2024 JW: I'm actually changing up my review for this tea. I love blending with this tea. Brewing black tea with this in the mix cuts down any bitterness and adds a touch of sweetness to the flavor. Excellent tea...just too light for me to drink it by itself. Lovely in blends!
I'm just not a fan of green tea. The taste is too light for me. I prefer the stronger taste of black tea over green. But, as green teas go this was a pleasant cup. Nice aroma. Pretty golden color in the cup. Light, sweet taste.

Such a delightful smell! I use the White Peony in conjunction with Raspberry, Lavender, and Hibiscus leaves, Lemon Balm, Golden Flower, and Jasmine Chun Hao to make an overall healthy blend for my hormones. It's such a delicate but useful blend that has a beautiful color.

Incredibly delicate and light with very little aftertaste. Too light for my personal tastes.

This isn’t necessarily one of my favorites. But that’s purely because of personal preference! I’m finding I prefer the stronger black and oolong teas. This is a pleasant tea, but not a favorite.

I have bought white peony for fo several years from adagio and no problems.
But this time it very musty smell nothing like sweet, floral and bad taste tried to return to 2-8oz and no reply. Be aware of buying large quantities.

This was a lovely, clean flavored-tea with zero bitterness even when I forgot and over-steeped it. I am sensitive to caffeine and haven't had any issues drinking this. 10/10 would recommend.

We wanted an intro tea to get into white tea. This one is delicious. Such a little and delicate flavor and pretty color

This could be the frist white tea I have ever tried. I like it, mild flavor but still taste like tea should taste.

This tea is light and smooth, with floral aroma and a honey-like taste. The tea has notes of melon, cucumber, and nectarine, which make it refreshing and satisfying. It is a perfect tea for when you need a moment of tranquility and beauty.

One of my favorite white teas. Light, delicate, with a brothy body-this is like springtime captured in a glass. It also blends really well with many of the fruit and herbal options available here.

White Peony is one of my favorites. However, this one was very green and I want to try it again because it tasted like there was an artificial floral flavor in the tea. I would love to find a US based company that carries delicious, pure white tea. This one fell short of my expectations, but maybe with age it would taste better.

It's not a bad tea by any means, but I guess it's a bit too plain for my liking. I've had some good blends that use this tea though.

A very delicate tea with subtle hints of greenery - not overpowering in the slightest. A great tea for slowing down and enjoying the simples pleasures of life. Sometimes, a strong flavor profile is not necessary for a good cup of tea. Take the time to taste and appreciate it!

I like my tea to be very very strong, right out the packet I smelled a delicious floral scent. Maybe I should've steeped it for longer, but I was afraid to 'damage' the leaves. It is a very light flavor, a little too much so for my liking, but I think if you like subtle flavors, this is for you.

To me, this doesn't taste much like peony at all. Instead, it has a rather grassy flavor. The taste is still light enough that it's not undrinkable. If it were marketed differently, I'd probably feel differently, as there's no floral taste at all. As a grassy tea, it's passable.

Solid for what it is: Light and lightly floral. Genuinely pleasant, but do not expect a wow factor.

Nice, delicate white tea. Uncomplicated, straightforward, no strongly identifiable notes. Just tastes like what I am used to white tea tasting like.

A nice balanced white tea. Rebrews well, as expected. It's a bit irritating that the sizes skip from 1oz (which is a bit small) to 8oz (which is far too much). This is a problem with many Adagio teas. 2-4oz is the ideal range.

A very light flavor, distantly sweet. I don't believe I'll get this again, but it was worth trying once.

As I veer more to flavored teas and tisanes, I only bought a sample of this tea. The flavor is subtly sweet and it's a single leaf tea so the flavor is not added. I find this to be a delightful and delicate white tea and am very pleased and will be reordering this again. I'll have 3-5 cups of tea per day and love switching them up. This is definitely going to be part of the rotation.

Wasn’t sure about this as it kind of smelled like grass but actually has a light kind of fruity floral taste that’s very enjoyable.

White Peony is a pleasantly floral scented tea. It's quite mild but very refreshing all the same. I've added a small amount of fruit bits to a glass and this gave the tea a enhanced flavor, however, the flavor of the tea on its own is lovely.

First white tea I tried, it was quite good - it wasnt bitter like black tea, and it was sweet. I dont have anything to compare it to, but it is a very nice tea.

This is by far my favorite white tea from Adagio ...I sampled maybe four or five at one time, and was hooked on this one. I ended up buying a large bag of it. The large leaves make it a little difficult to measure out for a cup or a pot.

This white tea was a little too subtle for me. I ended up steeping it longer and then mixing with other teas.

I generally go for stronger teas but wanted to give this one a try in honor of a book character that I think would enjoy this. It certainly changed my feelings for white teas. light but still full of flavor. Starts earthy and ends on light floral notes.

A pleasant, middle of the road white tea. Sort of plain, so I find myself blending this with silver needle jasmine or other teas. I much prefer White Symphony to this one; Symphony has more depth of flavor.

Didn’t love this tea. I was hoping for more sweetness from the peonies. But as always, a good quality tea.

I typically like teas that hold up with milk. This is not one of those. And yet this tea is perfect. It's so soft and pure. I drink it in the evening. Sometimes, I add rose petals. It's so peaceful.

Light honey and hay flavors, really pleasant to sip! I do prefer White Symphony - I think its flavor is lighter but also more complex.

Has a very woodsy taste. On the first steep (~3 min) the tea was a light amber color with a sweet honey flavor. The floral notes reminded me of chamomile-- more earthy and not as perfumey as jasmine. The second steep I let go for a minute or two longer, until the color was a slightly darker amber, and the woody/ earthy notes took over. It wasn't bitter, but the honey flavor was not as noticeable. I had likely over-steeped the leaves. Disregarding my second cup, this tea is light and sweet and worth a try.

I was surprised with this tea. I had heard that the flavor was very light. I brewed it at 180 for 3 minutes and then sat down for a cuppa. At first I tasted grassiness, and I really don’t like grassy teas. After sitting for a couple of minutes though, that seemed to have dissipated, and what remained was a nice, light, slightly floral taste. I think this tea has its place in tea drinking. It would be nice to have with or after a large meal to help with digestion. The fact that it’s low caffeine makes it a good choice for an evening sip. I would certainly enjoy having this again sometime.

White teas are not usually my preference but I did enjoy my Communitea sample of this one. The touch of floral and an ever so slight buttery mouthfeel made this tea a perfect sip for my afternoon break.
