Nice and light, a very clean and simple white tea.
White tea from Fujian, China. White Peony, also known as Pai Mu Tan, is a sweet, mild tea made from unopened tea buds, as well as the two newest leaves to sprout. Warm and floral like fruit blossoms. Golden liquor, succulent floral-fruit flavor.

Nice and light, a very clean and simple white tea.
It's not as floral as I remember but it's still a pretty nice tea.
Was great. Really enjoyed the taste and am usually picky on my white tea
This tea has a nice light taste. Great to relax with. Also smells pretty so you feel fancy drinking it.
I bought this tea for my sister who really likes it.
Floral but extremely subtle, maybe a little too subtle. It's not a bad tea, but not my favorite white tea blend.
This tea is very floral and pleasant! Would recommend to someone who likes sweet, floral teas.
Simple and subtle, just like a good white tea should be.
I love a good white tea later in the day when I need a little boost. White Peony is delectable with a touch of wildflower honey and, while delicate in nature, it is surprisingly flavorful. I bought a bigger bag of White Peony without trying a sample first because I've never been let down by Adagio White teas in the past. This is a really pleasant cup of tea for anyone looking for a subtle brew and not so much caffeine. I will definitely buy this one again.
Not bad, but also not my cup of tea. It s too light and tastes a bit like a sour vegetable broth. Maybe white tea just isn t for me.
This one looks nothing like the picture, and in fact looks like a bunch of random leaves shreds. Still, it tastes has a nice, mellow taste.
One of my all time favorite teas and one I will always come back to. I like the light subtle flavor and it’s just really nice and relaxing.
Light and delicate. I prefer sweetness to be limited as to not overpower the flavor of the tea. It doesn't look like the picture at all. All in all not a bad cup of tea. I tried a touch of lemon but didn't really add anything to the tea. Overall, this one is probably my favorite!
The leaves themselves don't look spectacular, but the taste more than makes up for it. Peony is a very appropriate name. It has both a floral scent and a slight floral taste. It is sweet and mild with rosy notes. It's colour is extremely pleasant with a light golden colour. Overall very pleasant!
This was a lovely white tea that deserves to be sipped and slowly enjoyed. Not as floral as I expected, and very very smooth.
I'm amending my less favorable previous interview. I had been brewing the tea around 190 instead of the 180. Let me just say, what a world of difference it has made. It is has delicate floral notes, nothing overpowering, just what I was hoping for when I first purchased this tea. It's amazing what a difference 10 degrees can make. I recommend using a thermometer for this tea and other white teas, given how finicky they can be for achieving the best flavor.
Definitely a floral taste, but not overpowering. A pleasant change from the white teas I usually drink.
delicious and fruity. Tastes very much like a fruit flavored tea but it does not have flavor added.
After having checked out a bunch of whites and greens, white peony is still my favorite every-day tea. Not sure why others claim it is weak (maybe they are used to black teas), as it has much more flavor than the revered Silver Needle. The Needle is indeed great, with a very subtle light taste, but Peony is more robust, making a deep golden brew with a hint of sweetness. And, much less $$ than the Needle.
Update: For the second time now I have received my WP all chopped up instead of whole leaf. I think the added surface area leaches more tannins into the liquor, making it more bitter. Not to my liking. I will be contacting AT before ordering in the future..
I recently bought this tea to share with my girlfriend while she's at school and we both love this tea. It's very light and subtle with a hint of a grassy taste. It's great for those who are just starting out getting into tea and the health benefits are great.
A lovely and delicate white tea. It is so delightful to sip in the evenings.
Light and refreshing. Lightly aromatic and comforting.
Drinking it as I write this. It would be better suited for sitting in a chair reading a good book. Not a get things done type of tea. Sounds weird, but this is a good tea to relax with. I read a lot of reviews that say this is slightly sweet, but I don't get that at all. Maybe my palette is not that great, who knows. But I do know that I do like this tea. To me, it is a lighter green tea, and no bitter taste at all. Very clean.
I will also agree with the people that have stated it looks nothing like the picture. While Silver Needle looked exactly like shown, what I have with White Peony is almost what I would call aged, or...burnt? compared to the image. No silver buds, and all the leaves are fairly crushed and brownish. I am not sure if I got the tail end of what they had, or if the image is out of date. Tea was good, but leaves me wondering if a more fresh batch would make it great.
I would buy this again, it will just never be my go to 'need some tea' cup of tea. I find white teas to be a good in between cup as a palette cleanser.
This tea tastes very similar to, if not exactly like, the tea that is served at my favorite Chinese food restaurant (which I unfortunately moved 1600 miles away from). It brings back memories for me, so naturally I had to get the biggest bag available.
Very good tasting tea at a reasonable price per cup.
Good, but very mild. It's easy for it to get lost in blends if the other flavors are too strong.
The light fruity flavor is great with afternoon snack, especially the white berry cookies.
Having tried many different white peony teas I find this one to decent but not the best. The main reason for my 2 star rating is the fact that the tea leaves come crushed rather than full. I was very disappointed with the quality of the leaves. I would raise this rating to a four if the leaves came as they are supposed to come.
This tea is refreshing, milky and floral at the same time. It has become a favourite and I think I will order it again once I am done with my first package.
This item never arrived, despite getting in touch with the company several times. On my account page it is marked as delivered and every time I complain to the company they tell me to amend my delivery address. My address is and always has been the correct address. Very disappointed and angry. Please send me a refund now!!!
Enjoying Pai Mu Tan in the last 15 years, great taste.
This tea is a very subtle but enjoyable flavor. I enjoy drinking white peony in the afternoon. The one night I drank this tea, I had trouble falling asleep even though there isn't much caffeine. I feel the white peony tea is calming and yet cognitively stimulating.
Nice smooth flavor. Floral but not heavy, which is a positive for me. No bitterness at all. Only negative is the lack of caffeine, but that's what you get for white tea!
This is a very light tea which I enjoy having after my lunch. It s light and fragrant.
The flower taste is perfect in this tea! It is so delightful and makes a perfect morning tea.
My daughter really likes this one.
This is a lighter tea great for a weekend afternoon.
Mellow, almost a light buttery quality (if butter can be light). The champagne of teas!
So light that it is barely even there... good for those who just need something with more flavor than hot water.
Very good flavor, would recommend it over the Snowbud.
I loved this tea! It was delicate and smooth. It's a favorite of mine to drink in the early morning.
Has a wonderful Light and Floral taste, it's a great afternoon tea.
I love white tea. This one is very simple and light, and it smells great too.
Not as floral as I would have liked, but still nice and smooth
Again I turn out to be pretty taste-blind with the green teas. This just doesn't taste very interesting to me, but it's more likely me than the tea. Best of luck to those with more discriminating palates.
Good quality white tea, but nothing exceptional that will make me want to come back for it over and over. However, it is a good tea to introduce to someone to white teas.
prepared according to directions. Enjoyed this tea.
wow!!! love! can't recommend this tea enough! i bought different white tea samples to try and this one was the winner! i love the light floral flavor. no honey needed. very delicate and yummy.
Great loght tea. Subtle in flavor but smells amazing. Smells flowery but has a light fruity flavor
I love it's light and mildly sweet flavor. A great to relax with.
