Update 2023: I guess my palate preferences have changed because I actually liked this tea and did a second steep. 180 F x 3 min.
I am not a fan of grapefruit, so when there was not much flavor as this tea was freshly steeped using 180 F water I was surprised but not disappointed. After adding 1/4 tsp Monkfruit sweetener and allowing it to cool the flavoring showed itself. If I liked grapefruit I probably would have liked this tea, but I don't so I didn't.

Nice light white tea with a subtle citrus flavor. When opening the packet the grapefruit was very pronounced but once brewed it was very light. Still a delicious tea.

Honestly, I don’t like grapefruit so I was hesitant to try this blend. I was pleasantly surprised, the tang of the grapefruit is light and crisp, not overpowering.
Overall, this has a nice, subtle flavor profile.

This tea had a very nice, vaguely citrusy flavor. I was expecting a bit more flavor, based on the tea leaves, but it still tasted good.

UPDATED: Y'all I just really hate grapefruit. I did not expect to be able to finish this cup, but it wasn't quite as awful as I thought it would be. But it was a nice white tea base and didn't taste totally like grapefruit once it was steeped, so I actually did drink the whole cup. Not that I ever want to do it again.

This is a decent tea. But I didn't get a lot of the grapefruit flavor.
Update: Still didn't get a lot of the grapefruit flavor. Which is really sad as the tea smelled wonderfully of grapefruit.

I enjoyed this blend, nice and citrusy but not overwhelmingly so. I tried it iced after reading some reviews that it worked well Iced, and I agree.

A delicate, bright tea with a touch of caffeine that makes it perfect if you want a bit of a pick up. As with most flavored teas, the citrus notes are more evident as it cools and a touch on honey helps to bring them out. First February Communitea I will be purchasing!

I love all the grapefruit teas from Adagio! The white grapefruit is a light, delicious version with a mild, refreshing flavor.

Tasted exactly like a plain green tea to me; no white, no grapefruit.

This is really enjoyable. I was a little disappointed at first because I loved the full flavor of the grapefruit black tea. But I gave it another steep and adjusted my expectations for a white tea and really started to enjoy the subtlety. I think this would be very refreshing cold, too.
2nd time I sampled this, it was a hit from the first sip. Love!

Today's CommuniTea packet is white grapefruit. I love grapefruit and I love white tea, but for some reason I don't like them together in this tea. I've tried this a couple times, and it always tastes harsh to me, not like grapefruit at all. This morning it tasted metalic, almost like when I took paxlovid last summer. Not something you want to be reminded of when drinking tea. Brewed in 12 ounces of 180-degree water for about two and three-quarter minutes.

In the bag: 95% of my packet is the roughly chopped, dark-green-to-brown leaves of tea. A few marigold flowers bring a small pop of yellow. Two tiny pieces of orange rind.
On the nose (pre-steep): Grapefruit is here but it's shy. If I wasn't paying attention I might have missed it. The white tea, on the other hand, is the social one with its musty, vegetal quality.
On the nose (post-steep): Nearly identical to pre-steep: A musty vegetal flavor with hints of grapefruit. The scent is more muted here whereas pre-steep was livelier.
On the tongue (pre-sweetener): Almost no citrus flavor - if I wasn't looking for it I would have missed it. Essentially, we're left with a naked white tea. No bitterness.
On the tongue (post-sweetener): No change.
Opinion: A decent tea, but not one that I will crave. What little grapefruit began the journey didn't make it past the steep. Note that I'm not a huge fan of naked white teas.
Preparation: 3 min @ 175 ℉, ½ tsp monk fruit sweetener (my electric kettle doesn't have an option for 175 ℉)

Enjoyed sipping this very pleasant and lightly fruited tea. A subtle grapefruit taste pairs well with the delicate white tea base. A hint of orange boosts the grapefruit for a rounded citrus flavor that compliments the natural fruity floral taste of white tea. Brewed my CT packet today and several more cups from a pouch of White Grapefruit I had on hand. Was surprised how much I loved this tea hot or cold, especially as a black tea drinker.
My CT packet had 2 g/ 2 ⅓ tsp of green colored white tea leaves with a few yellow marigolds, a piece of orange peel and a lovely grapefruit scent. Brewed 10 oz. at 180*F for 3 min. The golden colored liquor had no bitterness detected, just some pleasant astringency that added a bit of a tang to the subtle citrus flavor. A sweetener add brought out more of the grapefruit flavor. A resteep was milder and when chilled, it was a refreshing and light flavored iced tea to enjoy, an easy breezy citrus sip!

I really like Grapefruit Oolong but found this tea much less satisfactory. It doesn't smell as fragrant and is somewhat bland in taste. Maybe Adagio didn't add as much flavoring to the white tea as they do to the oolong. Maybe it's the same amount of flavoring and just a difference in the taste of the base tea. Regardless the result is underwhelming. I'll try to use it up by blending with other teas if I think up some appealing combos. Disappointing. :(

UPDATED from 8/2/22: Yummy smell of fresh pink grapefruit greets my sinuses from the CommuniTEA packet. This steeps into a light gold. This has such a lovely citrus taste. This delicate white tea tickles my tongue like dry white wine. I enjoy it as a hot tea, but it really grows on me as an ice tea. Adding 1/4 teaspoon of sweetener (to 10 oz) really brings out the fruity flavor. I am sad when it is all gone. Yummy tea, and with low caffeine, I will get more. (3 mins @ 180˚F + sweetener)

A great tea if you like grapefruit or maybe even if you don't. The grapefruit flavor comes through, but is much more subtle than eating the actual fruit.

I am giving this tea the benefit of the doubt after a rather weak citrus taste from the CommuniTEA sample. I used the recommended temperature water and steeped it for the recommended 3 minutes. Minimal citrus aroma and flavor. I have ordered a sample size to try again both hot and cold brewed. I will update this review once my shipment arrives.
Update as of 8/21/22:
This tea has white grapefruit flavor when cold brewed. I would recommend it for cold brewing for maximum citrus flavor.

2022-08-02 CommuniTEA Update:
That familiarly delicious grapefruit aroma greeted me as I hastily opened today's packet. A quick steep at 180°F for 3 minutes produced a nice white tea with a delectable scent of grapefruit. Tasty and fruit-forward, this tea is still one of my favorite White Tea varieties! Yum!
2021-06-21 CommuniTEA Review:
Just like last time, I could taste plenty of grapefruit flavor, alongside a mellow white tea that did not overpower it.
Fresh grapefruit aromas jumped out of today's packet. A quick 3 minute steep at 180˚F was a simple 'white tea' button press away from creating this light translucent golden white tea.
The grapefruit aromatics continued to rise up from the steaming cup as it cooled down enough to sip with a slurp. Grapefruit terpenes are plentiful in each aspirated sip. The White tea is silky smooth, mellow and sweet, with a light astringency. This is a very full-bodied white tea, featuring pleasantly crisp citrus with a clean and bright character balanced by natural sweetness and a dry finish. This is one of the most enjoyable white tea blends I've tried!

This tea was okay, the flavor wasn't really strong even though the smell was when I opened the packet. The flavor I got wasn't really grapefruit either, I couldn't really place it but it was more of subtle fruitiness rather than grapefruit or even citrus.

Update 8/2/22 I read my previous review and still cold brewed it overnight. I did drink it without ice and enjoyed it. I thought it was a bit more flavorful. Love the grapefruit smell from the packet. I upgraded to 4 stars, just because I love grapefruit .
The smell from the packet had a nice grapefruit/ citrusy aroma. I cold brewed this tea overnight. I was disappointed that it wasn't very flavorful as I drank it cold. Someone mentioned to try it room temperature, so I left half my cup on the counter. The tea was much more flavorful and I could taste the grapefruit. Problem is that I enjoy my tea hot not cold. Maybe add a bit more flavoring to this one ?

I generally like Adagio's grapefruit flavored teas and this one is no exception. Light white tea with a strong grapefruit and citrus flavor that mellows out on the second steep. Would go great with ice and a squeeze of lemon.

This is a light, mild tea. The white tea provides very little flavor but leaves the mouth feeling clean and refreshed. The Grapefruit is provides just enough of a citrice flavor to invigorate the palette without being to strong or overwhelming.

This does taste like grapefruit. I brewed 8 oz of water for the CommuniTEA portion size and added agave sweetener to coax out max flavor. The flavor strengthens as it cools as well. Star rating is just my personal preference of not loving grapefruit.

This is a ~light & white~ tea, in today's CT. Upon opening the packet, I found the aroma to be fresh and very green-esque, in essence. Upon steeping...Its a beautiful orange color...& a nice light taste! If I am going with a white tea, I am more of a 'White Tangerine' fan. Though, this one is quite lovely enough. ((3 mins @ 190°))

Not being a huge fan of grapefruit, I had my doubts about this tea. It had a very strong grapefruit aroma when I open the packet, but it was more muted after steeping. I could definitely taste grapefruit, but it was complemented quite nicely by the other flavors in the blend. My fear was that the taste would be sour, but it wasn’t at all. I actually quite liked this tea. Very nicely blended.

The aroma of grapefruit punches one in the nose on opening the packet, but on the white tea base, the flavor is softer. The brew is distinctly grapefruit but with a subtle sweetness. Although the white tea offers a slight complementary astringency, there's no bitterness from the citrusy blend. Although I generally sweeten my actual grapefruit, I could enjoy this brew without any additional sweetener. A second steep, while enjoyable, is not as punchy. The grapefruit flavor only whispers on a white-tea forward brew. (2.5-3 minutes @ 185F)

Grapefruit flavors are pronounced and smooth without being overwhelming. However, I'm not usually a fan grapefruit in tea, and this is a good example of why - the grapefruit bitterness really destroys the honeysuckle sweetness I love so much in white teas. So, my final report: this tea is well blended and smooth, and I would recommend it to grapefruit lovers and people who enjoy a less sweet white tea.

Part of the CommuniTea. Grapefruit is not my thing. There is nothing wrong with this tea and the aroma is pungent with grapefruit. Taste is grapefruit and florals with a touch of bitterness. If you do enjoy grapefruit, worth trying.

Not bad, not great. Very good aromatic qualities but disappointed the grapefruit doesn't come through stronger on the palate. Still, would not be unhappy to be served a pot of this at any time of the day or served to accompany lunch or dinner.

UPDATED 8-2-22: Today's CommuniTEA is White Grapefruit, ironically just after I finished my own bag that I purchased. Haha! Upon opening my packet, it had a good amount everything included. I brewed it hot with a little Garden Herbal Honey. It was very good! I have also found it to be good with Mango, Orange Peels, Raspberry Leaves, Strawberry, and Fruit Tisanes Honey. I've never had a white tea I didn't like! I would highly recommend this tea!
ORIGINAL: I brewed White Grapefruit hot with a little bit of tupelo honey. I steeped it longer than I had intended to, but it was a very happy accident. This tea is really great. It's smooth, subtle, with a little citrus from the grapefruit. Unfortunately, you can't taste the honey at all, but it's still a fantastic tea. I look forward to drinking more of it. I would highly recommend this tea!

I like grapefruit, but not a fan of white tea. I was hoping the grapefruit would come through strong and sweet. I could taste it, but it still felt like a weak cup of tea flavored water, if you like subtle tea than white tea is the way to go.

My CommuniTea sample may have been off...I didn't note any grapefruit or orange flavors at all. Brewed so light that had very little taste at all. I did note that the sample was small, so used less water when brewing. This tea is just not for me. I like bolder tastes especially with strong flavors like grapefruit, so generally don't go for white teas. This one fell flat for me. I drank half of it after adding a bit of lemon to give it some flavor...but then moved on to another tea. White tea fans will most likely love this...just not my cup of tea.
8/2/2022 -- upped my rating to 3 stars. This tea is good, but just too light for me. I added just a splash of lemon juice this time and it brought out the grapefruit taste. Enjoyed it this time, but took a bit o'doctoring to liven it up.
