Very good but I sort of expected more based on the reviews and the price. I like some of the less expensive teas a lot more.
I expected a lot more from this tea for the price. It has a faint, tasty flavor, but will bitter quickly if brewed too long. A little honey brings the flavor of this tea out. I like it, but wouldn't buy it again when you have easier brewing Snowbud white tea available.
the smoothest white tea available. i love it. i usually steep 4 minutes with water that was boiled then left to sit 5-6 minutes before adding tea to it. i squeeze in a little clementine orange and add some unheated organic honey.
Wonderful white tea. This tea, with a teaspoon or two of honey, makes a wonderful sore throat remedy.
I've been hearing about this tea forever. I'd recently had a chance to order some. And to tell you the truth, it was 'OK'. The tea right from the get-go has a slight sweetness. However, the aftertaste was nothing to be desired, it was too leafy for me. I'd only recommend Silver Needle if you have already been into white teas for a while. I tend to head for Blacks and Greens more.
When I first opened the packet, I was taken aback by the smell of this stuff. It doesn't smell like something one should ingest. Fortunately, it tastes better than it smells. Still, it's a little bland for my tastest.

Silver needle tea is 'soft' to the touch and to the taste. I rarely drink it alone. Instead, I use it to add a soft undertone to my white monkey tea. I usually add a dash of hochicha to the mixture, as well. I guess it's my special brew that feels like home.

If you like white tea... This is GREAT! I always bought bags. Not ever again. This is the only white to I will buy. Oh. and I use a small coffee maker that has a reusable filter. 1st brew I run it through once. I just run the water through multiple times, the weaker the tea gets.
wonderful bright flavor in a white tea. this was a wonderful accompaniment to some shortbread biscuits we made.

You'll get entirely other benefits, which is worth all the money one pays, to meet the effort expended, in preparing, packaging, and delivering to the customer.
I swear by this tea. I do make it stronger than recommended-just a personal preference.
Huge fan of white tea's and this one did not disappoint, added a small amount of rock sugar and honey. Amazingly smooth and subtle, great for those nights after work and winding down before bed.

Sublter than Bai Mu Dan (white peony) varieties, this tea is great for those who pay attention. The tea itself has a mild sweetness, no astringency, and the taste lingers on the back of your tongue. I like this as an afternoon tea, as the high levels of L-Theanine relieve stress and make the end of the workday come that much quicker. And as with most high quality white teas, you can get mutliple infusions out of this one by simply increasing the steeping time by a minute or two each time (and each subsequent infusion has much less caffeine).
I love this tea. Very smooth and flavorful. I like to drink this during the latter part of my day, and also throw it in my morning cup of tea to round out all of the antioxidant power. Most of the other white teas i have tried just dont have any flavor; this one has great flavor and stays smooth.
I had great expectations for this tea based on its excellent ratings, but was a bit underwhelmed. I had to use a huge amount of tea to get any flavor at all. I would prefer the White Symphony tea, which tasted quite similar to me, but somehow seemed a bit stronger. Maybe I’m just not much of a white tea person…I prefer stronger tasting brews.
This is a great, light cup of tea I usually enjoy in the evening. I've tried some of the other white teas and this one is by far the best one.

I love this tea, but I tend to get distracted and buy the jasmine silver needle.
It has a very delicate flavor and a great aroma. It had a little bitter aftertaste to me which could very well be my own taste buds or I could have over brewed it. It is a nice tea just not to my taste.
Has a nice, subtle taste. I like to let this steep for only 2-3 minutes, and the leaves can be used 2-3 times and each time tastes slightly different. Expensive, but completely worth it.

I love white tea, and this is teh best I have had. Snowbud is my regular tea (mostlt because of its good price) but I do get snow needle once ina while to treat myself.
This tea is fantastic, as well as healthy. It may be a disappointment to those who have never tried white tea before being that this tea doesn't have such a strong flavor. Although it's very difficult to describe the taste, I will attempt to do so anyway. It's very smooth and has a type of nutty taste to it. You might say that it has an earthy taste, but not to the extent that some green teas would have. It's a little more expensive than you might be used to, but the taste is well worth it. In addition, it goes a long way. I usually make one pot and can steep that batch another 2 times before it begins losing taste. Keep in mind that the longer it steeps the better it will taste!
Very light, very subtle. What came to mind when I thought of white tea. If you are new to tea and looking for something with a lot of flavor, you'll be disappointed. However, when your palate develops and you realize what you are looking for in white tea, you'll come begging back on your hands and knees.
