Silver needle tea is a good tea for a white tea beginner to try out. The tea is very smooth tasting and has a very light earthy note to it. I recommend this for anyone who wants to try a no-nonsense, delicate, but light, smooth tea.
Silver Needle white tea is among the most revered of Chinese teas. Gathered only for a few days in early spring, a dedication to perfection is evident in the pale, ivory-colored liquor. Delicately honeysuckle floral, with a warmed sugar sweetness.

It just tasted a bit too bland for my liking but I will drink in days when I don't want a tea that's is too flavorful.
Really light taste. Perfect cup of tea for sipping on. This was my first white tea and it was delicious. I'll definitely be ordering more of this.
My favorite out of all the samples I ordered from adagio! taste smooth and not overly strong! Perfect white tea!
I am not a connoisseur of white tea by any stretch, but this one was just fantastic. You get a nose full of fresh cut hay from the unsteeped leaves, which reminds me of home. The taste is completely different, mild, buttery and a little sweet. A very delicious and drinkable tea. I would equate it to a fantastic session beer in the sense that I could drink this all day long.
This is my first dabbling in loose leaf tea, and I wanted to find a white tea that I could drink before bed to relax. On my second cup of Silver Needle, and I'm pretty pleased. Quality cup of tea, will buy again.
I'm new to tea but a friend raved about Silver needle, telling me it is the most 'revered' of all the teas. I was pleasantly surprised with taking my first drink! Such a clean, buttery taste with no after taste what so ever. The smell of this tea when opening the bag hits you with a very hay like smell, but don't let this fool you, its wonderful. I love to throw in just a touch of white peach 'also from adagio' to add just a little hint of peachy flavor, such a great combo! :)
White tea has the thickest texture in my opinion. Which is great in my opinion. A lighter tea in terms of flavor and not as dark earthy tasting as green tea which makes it unique. Ill try this again.
Light, yet complex flavor. Very refreshing. If I drank more white tea, I would order this again.
I decided to try this just to try something new, because I'd never really had white tea before. It wasn't bad, but I'm not really a fan.
It has a light flavor. Careful not to understeep it.
Felling healthy
A great silver needle! One of the best one available and amazing price.
Very nice for a white tea, white teas do not have much flavor in my opinion but it was not terrible by any means.
Due to cost, I purchased a sample only. Was concerned the flavor would be too mild (coffee drinker trying to move to teas for health benefits). I was very impressed with the flavor of this tea. Very mild but not weak, with hints of floral and fruit at the end. The aroma was wonderful as well. After my first cup, I found myself thinking about it for the rest of the evening and had another cup as soon as I woke up the next day. I add just a pinch of sugar to bring out the floral and fruit taste.
Arguably the best white tea out there. This has been my go-to for white tea for some time now.
More on the delicate side, it has an enjoyable creamy and sweet flavor. As I progressed through the pot of tea, I noticed the flavor profile evolve and become predominantly more grassy.
This is definitely getting another purchase.
This has an interesting mouthfeel I can only describe as 'rounded', and a kind of pea-like taste. The aftertaste is sweet and long-lasting.
I really like this white tea. It is a little more expensive but the flavor is great. I like that it has less caffeine than green tea.
This is my all time favorite tea. The flavor is subtle, but not in a weird watered down kind of way. I prefer to keep the steeping temp on the low side.
A bit weak for my taste. I like a stronger green tea.
Very smooth tea. Smell great , great benefits. Lovers of green tea should try it
Smelled very grassy in the bag, tasted pretty grassy in the cup. Not bad, but I'm not much of a fan of white tea.
Very subtle, light, and delicate. Just as a white tea should be.
A nice, delicate flavor. Please get back in stock soon :)
It is a great white tea. The flavor is mild and relaxing. When brewed at 180 degrees, you can easily make a second brewing out of the leaves, but a third will be noticeably weak.
It has a nice, subtle, delicate, light flavour. Tasty.
Very light and floral taste. This is an absolute fav or mine.
By far my favorite white tea. A subtle yet distinguished flavor that demands to be indulged slowly and be savored. Highly recommended as an evening tea.
Scrumptious, but very very light. As a white tea, it's also easy to overbrew. Be careful if you're addicted to chai like me =)
Silver needle is a nice light, clean tea. It tastes good on its own, and I think it would also blend well with other floral teas, herbs, or syrups.
Light and delicate, as white teas tend to be. Very pure flavor, want to make sure you use good tasting filtered water. There are some notes of honey in the flavor too, it's a very lovely white tea.
Lovely, vegetal flavor, with notes of peach and plum. Be careful not to over-steep, it makes it taste like twigs if you do. I like to pair this tea with a mildly sweet food (fruit or something) to complement the flavor.
One of my favourite white teas of all time! I've started making various drinks with it for hot summer days. Delicious!
This is the King of Silver Needle teas. Lightly fragrant with a hint of sweetness. Great on those very hot days when you want a light refreshing drink.Only caveat is that I wish the pricing was more affordable.
I am not a big white tea drinker but this is my favorite so far.
This is a very plain tasting tea. As expected with a white tea, there isn't much flavor to it at all. The slight flavor that you do taste is very good and and refreshing. If you have never tried a white tea before, this is a very good place to start.
This has a subtle yet complex flavor
one of the best! I have let it brew/set all night in the teapot and make Iced tea with it, never too strong! I love it!
I don't fuss with the water temp. just boil the water and pour it in the teapot with the tea. Wonderful tea!
Let me begin by saying that the tea was very high quality. I tried the sample because I'd never had white tea before. I learned that it's not for me. It wasn't as strong or flavorful as black tea. This is probably more of a personal preference thing than the fault of the tea itself.
Update: Still one of my favorites!
Subtle, light. Almost not there, don't eat anything too flavorful before trying this. Otherwise very pleasant.
This is my favorite white tea. When I want to treat myself I get this tea as it is a little pricey. It just tastes really good to me. light and fruity.
The flavor is so subtle that it's almost non existent. However it still manages to have a complex floral tones that is best enjoyed singularly. This is one tea I don't think I can have too much.
A little on the bland side but a good afternoon winter tea for me
Good mellow cup. Pleasant to drink but not a ton of flavor... I guess typical for a white tea. Leaves look cool!
I love this tea. it's light, not too sweet, but has a nice soft fragrance, indescribable in taste except for it -somewhat- oddly reminds me faintly of fresh bread. A very nice mood lifter
I absolutely love this tea. It is the first white tea I have tasted and I am hooked. I'm so glad I decided to try something new. I always shied away from white teas because I love pronounced flavors. Much to my surprise this has become my favorite tea.
I generally drink black tea, but wanted to try a good white. Silver needle, despite having a delicate flavor, was quite enjoyable. It was crisp and clean, with a nice complexity to it, a subtle floral 'bloom' on the tongue. I don't think the complexity would survive milk or sugar, but I've only tried it straight up.
Because of the cost, I tried a re-steep, which I rarely do. It was acceptable, but noticeably weaker than the first brew, and, like I said, I like my tea strong, so that didn't work for me.
Silver needle has a subtle fruity taste coupled with the overall vegetal tones. This is one of the few teas I would not get burned out after drinking it habitually.
This tea is so smooth and mild, and it's great for multiple brewing (which makes the price all the more worth it!). This has been praised as one of the best white teas on the site, and I think it's earned it.
