White tea isn't my favorite, but this is very good. The tea has an earthy taste that reminds me of grass. It's similar to a white peony tea that I've tried before. It's a nice change when I want something besides the black teas I usually drink.
Silver Needle white tea is among the most revered of Chinese teas. Gathered only for a few days in early spring, a dedication to perfection is evident in the pale, ivory-colored liquor. Delicately honeysuckle floral, with a warmed sugar sweetness.

White tea isn't my favorite, but this is very good. The tea has an earthy taste that reminds me of grass. It's similar to a white peony tea that I've tried before. It's a nice change when I want something besides the black teas I usually drink.
Very clean and calming! This tea has a nice, light flavor. It's pleasant to drink before bed or when you're feeling particularly stressed.
This tea brewed up exactly as it was described. The flavor is soft and slightly reminiscent of honey. I don't normally like white tea that much, but I would buy this again.
Such a great flavor, because of the price probably not an everyday tea, but fantastic occasionally.
I love the clean, refreshing taste of this white tea. It is by far the best white tea I have ever tried. And even though it seems a bit pricey per cup, I infuse the same leaves at least 5 times. The fifth infusion tastes as good as the first.
While the Fujian version of the Silver Needle tea is noticeably smoother than the regular version, this is still a very nice tea with a clean finish.
Maybe my tongue is ruined to more subtle flavors, but I could not taste this tea. I do admit it was more fluffy and airy than drinking plain hot water, but it went over my head. I can't taste it, maybe white teas a too subtle for me, a black tea drinker? I do plan to try this out with more leaves, and I do sense a change in the water, i just cannot pinpoint it exactly. Will update review when I do!
Best Tea I ever had, almost one of the most expensive. It is worth it's price though, very good!
I thought I would give this a try, since I heard it is the best! I love it! So happy with my purchase!
There is only one word to describe this tea. amazing. The consistency and taste of this tea is great, and just the tiniest pinch of sugar really makes this tea sing. I love the health benefits of this tea, and after I drank my first cup, I felt like my mind and body had been cleansed, I felt great! It's a very happy tea that can make a bad day good and a good day that much better.
I seeped the first time with Adagio's recommendation, but I feel that it spoiled the tea a bit. 195 was just a touch too hot. Otherwise, it's silver needle, it's delish! I add a bit of mint extract and some honey, and it's the cleanest taste. Yummy!
My personal 2nd favorite next to Ali Shan. It's like a garden of green vegetable goodness coating your insides. The aroma is divine, and the flavor drowns your taste buds in happiness. Silver needle is great any time of day, and will remain on my reorder list indefinitely.
This tea is very tasty, but also very subtle. The first time I made it I only put it on for 5 minutes... which was a mistake. This tea needs 7 minutes in cooler water to bring out its real beauty.
A great classic, makes the attainment of inner peace seem more achievable.
This tea is amazing. I love this. I would add a little sweetner to bring out the flavors.
someone gave me a sample of this for my birthday and i loved it.. had to order again. kinda reminds me of a green tea which is great if you want a green tea but are trying to cut back on caffeine. sweet and floral. a kick back kind of tea.
This is a very subtle tea. Slightly sweet, with a very smooth finish. Lighter than I usually prefer my tea, but nice and refreshing every now and then.
I usually drink jasmine silver needle, and I thought I'd give plain silver needle a try. Although I missed the jasmine essence, the flavor was still very good, a little 'strawy' just like it should be.
What can I say, it's the revered NEEDLE. Picked by virgins during the full moon only when the earth is at its apogee. Light, delicate, slightly sweet, it is the true event horizon of all tea.
I feel a bit upset. Everyone seems to enjoy this tea greatly, but when I made it, it tasted only like leaves. It didn't taste like a tea at all. Am I missing something here? Is my pallet just not as refined as others' are?
Very good tea. Nice flavor is relaxing. Good tea for me in the evening
This is one of my favorites i'll be buying regularly. I really enjoy it plain compared to the jasmine silver needle i didn't care for as much, but buy it's self it's very good.
My favorite tea for years - a great way to relax at the end of a long day. It needs nothing else with it.
this is my favorite tea but also a more pricey one.
Very enjoyable warm, though it is best when using the full 2tsp of tea per cup. It is no waste, because I was able to brew the same leaves 4 times!
A very subtle tea, but a fantastic one as well. It's a great way to start your day.
A pleasant mild tea, soft in the mouth and no bitterness...it is pleasant, just not very distinctive.
Surprisingly rich for a white tea. The initial aroma is deceptively vegetal, but the golden ivory liquor has a hidden sweetness exposed by multiple infusions with subtle grassy undertones that lend depth to the flavor. Brewing at a lower temperature yielded much better results than the advised 195.
A beautifully balanced tea with a light apricot fragrance, Silver Needle only gets sweeter with additional steepings.
Light and lovely tea. I love mixing this with a little blood orange or by itself.
This tea is very delicate and clean tasting. This was my very first white tea and a very good choice.
Enjoyable, but perhaps a touch too subtle for my taste. It has a nice, delicate herbal sweetness.
Very subtle flavor, not my favorite but still very nice.
This was my first experience with loose leaf white tea. The taste was very smooth and earthy. It reminded me of my favorite green, Gunpowder, without the aftertaste.
Smooth but with flavor, great for morning or nights a must have tea.
Silver needles are my go-to white tea. Sweet, delicate, and slightly vegetal. Highly recommended!
Silver needle has a very subtle flavor, but very complex at the same time. Similar to white peony in color and smell, but has a more subtle yet sweeter taste. Very floral and sweet. Definitely a favorite of mine for sure.
Amazing! Light bodied but full in flavour, lovely aroma. Tastes like cucumber and melon.
I followed the directions that came on the bag and it was seriously a perfect cup of tea. I will purchase this tea again. It's just a clean sweet taste, not bitter. Yummy. This is the tea I would serve if I were having my Mom over for tea since she's new to tea and I'm not sure what she would like.
Im drinking this and I am like meh... I have tea honey in it which I thought would be fine but this tea is so delicate the honey overpowers the tea...i will drink my second cup without anything in it to get the real tea taste
This tea was incredibly gentle and smooth and had just a hint of sweetness. It makes for a very nice before-bed tea, or on a day when you just need to decompress.
I thought this tea was pretty bland. It doesn't have a distinct flavor.
I quite enjoyed this tea. First introduction to white tea. Nice for relaxing with at night.
I must say, I have an especial fondness for the smell of this freshly brewed as it cools to drinking temp. Very gentle, natural sweetness.
elicate flavour? I sense it fairly quick! White tea is lightly oxed, so it is approaching oolong, but green tea softness remains. Its lightly oxidized flavours are like FRESH fruits, melons, buttery and acid at the same time. I love this tea
This tea is fantastic. Not much caffeine but makes you feel great. Best drank completely plain. One of my afternoon favorites. It has a delicate flavor yet is very interesting.
wonderful cup of tea. bsolutely delightful! Very smooth, soft cup of tea. I will be buying this again.
Perfect for a light iced tea in the summer. Sometimes I add a little lemongrass, lemon balm and citrus zest...wonderfully refreshing.
This is an amazing tea. I get more of a fruity taste than veg. Its crazy how many steepings u can get out of it.
It's a pricey cup, but worth every penny. Silver needle is white royalty, and when prepared well, there ain't nothing like it. The flavor is much more delicate than pai mu tan, almost floral, with a vague sweetness that comes out when steeped long and slow in lower heat. For best results, just let it go in a pot of just-simmered water--the reduced temperature ensures that it won't oversteep if you happen to get lost in a good book while you're waiting.
