Silver Needle Customer Reviews

Silver Needle white tea is among the most revered of Chinese teas. Gathered only for a few days in early spring, a dedication to perfection is evident in the pale, ivory-colored liquor. Delicately honeysuckle floral, with a warmed sugar sweetness.

★★★★☆

The first white tea I’ve ever tried, and I really love it! This was a recommended tea, and I definitely will be trying more white teas from adagio

★★★★★

This tea is my husband's favorite. It is light on the palate, but has a delightful soft body and a good aftertaste.

★★★★★

A wonderful, uplifting tea. This might be my new favorite! It has a surprisingly rich honeyed taste for such a light tea.

This is always one of my favorites -- delightful, nicely-balanced, and it feels like a lovely indulgence.

★★★★★

This tea has become the favorite white tea for my partner and I. We find it mellow, my partner adds fresh lemon to it, but I prefer it as it is.

★★★★★

You can't go wrong with having Silver Needle in your tea pantry, its flavor is mellow and it compliments many types of tea when you feel like mixing. It's taste is light on the palette.

★★★★☆

This tea had a very mild but clean flavor with a bit of sweetness. Make sure you don't over brew.

A very light, very soft tea, with very subtle flavors of fruit and a soft, un-aged, fresh white taste. Very clean and upliftings.

★★★★★

Expensive but excellent. Very subtle & refined taste. This is a great tea

★★★★☆

This one is mellow and subtly sweet. Much less sweet than the Jasmine Silver Needle. Kind of reminds me of the White Pu-Erh tea.

I wasn't really impressed with this tea, as much as I hoped to be. I know they say it is supposed to be a healthy option so I really wanted to like it. Unfortunately, it upset my stomach. I also didn't particularly enjoy the flavor. White symphony, on the other hand, IS VERY NICE. But for the most part, I will be sticking with my regular green tea favorites. I least I can say I tried it.

★★★★★

Such a smooth white tea flavor if you liked Teavanas silver needle you’ll like this one too

★★★★★

You can tell right off the bat that this tea is high quality. Very mild, clean flavor. Will purchase again.

This was pretty good, but not great. It has a light delicate flavor.

★★★★★

I love the simplicity of white teas, the crisp flavor and it's delicateness

★★★★☆

Very subtle but has a nice taste. I wasn't a fan until I brewed it a little longer than recommended and got a stronger flavor.

absolutely great. Cant say enough about how much i like this one.

★★★★★

It's weird! I get it, but I also don't get it. This is my first white tea that I've tried, and I can say it doesn't just taste like hot water, despite my fears. But at the same time, I can't say what it tastes like, just that it's good. Not that I'm complaining. :P

Love the taste of this tea. Smells great as well.

★★★★★

A lovely, slighted toasted taste. Light and full-bodied to the tongue. Highly reccomended.

Mild but flavorful. Keep the brew time and temperature precise for best results.

★★★★★

Really like this tea. It has a delicate flavor, just a hint of sweetness. It brews into a very pale color with a nice aroma. It's not as astringent as some white or even green teas can be. I have a neighbor who comes over for tea and this is what she always requests. Don't overheat the water though or you will scald this tea.

I enjoy much more pungent teas, but this is great when I get home from work, instead of a plain glass of water. It is relaxing.

★★★★★

Enjoyed the light, fresh, flavor of this tea. Prefer this to white symphony, although I like symphony and feel it is a better value for me.

Stronger than I expected it to be yet very good taste.

Not a lot of taste. Tried a second cup with 4 tsp tea, a little better but not great.

Good, but nothing really stood out to me with this tea. I may repurchase to give it another try.

Very light, subtle flavor. I steep these three times with no loss in flavor. very good

Delicate, soft, and lightly sweet. The aroma and taste are surprisingly floral and there is a delightful honey note in the background. I would recommend measuring this tea by weight and not volume because it is rather fluffy which makes measuring a teaspoon difficult.

This is a very light, delicate tea. I like it, but I prefer stronger teas.

★★★☆☆

This is a decent tea, but it's unremarkable. I had to play around a lot with the quantity and steeping time to get a cup I liked, and even then, it wasn't quite as good as a cheaper silver needle I bought from somewhere else.

I purchased the Silver Needle to try to duplicate Brigadoon Breakfast, which was a huge favorite with everyone that tried it in my house and we don't want to wait 4 years to have it again :)

★★★★☆

This tea used to be one of my favorites. My taste is probably shifting, which is why I did not give it 5 stars. However, Among the white teas, this is one of the best teas out there, with few teas topping it. Very calming, light golden color, a tiny hit of sweetness and very mellow. I would also suggest this is a kind of acquired taste as it does not taste like greens, oolongs, or blacks, and might catch you off-guard if you do not know what to expect. If it is early evening or find myself in the office late afternoon, and don't want too much caffeine, I turn to this one. Also, just like may other teas, the taste of the white teas varies tremendously by the quality of the tea. So if you had a lower tiered white tea, it is not reflective of the taste of this tea. I've had the white peony, and compared to the silver needle, they are 2 different world apart.

Green tea drinker here but I wanted to branch out to other teas. I tried this and found I had to add three teaspoons to get the flavor I desired. I can drink this without my usual teaspoon of honey which. This would be an occasional tea since its a little pricey for the amount I would go through.

★★★★★

I've tried this one at a competitors store, much cheaper and tastier

★★★★☆

I like white teas for their lightness and clean flavor, and this one doesn't disappoint. I bought a small amount just to see if I would like it, and I wish I bought a larger size, because it is a good...palette cleansing tea. Plus it just looks beautiful. I wish the flavor was just a tad stronger, but I will definitely order again.

★★★★★

If I could drink one tea for the rest of my life and not get bored with it, this would be the one. It's amazing silky texture with the slight honey taste is so light to me, but at the same time extremely powerfully tasting. Everyone should at least get a sample to try it! And if you don't like it on its own by chance, it blends really well with nearly all teas because it's so light tasting. Herbal teas are great to mix with this so you get the herbal/fruity taste of the herb, and all of the medicinal effects of the Camellia sinensis tea leaf. Enjoy!

I was surprised at how affordable Adagio's silver needle is compared to some other brands. I almost expected an inferior quality when comparing prices to other well known tea companies but it definitely wasn't. The needles look healthy. You could see the silvery fuzz on them. The taste was very clean. The brewing color was what it should be. Good quality for a good price

★★★☆☆

I am probably too picky with my silver needles, this one is solid, takes multiple steeps and hot temps well, but is nothing spectacular

This was my first time trying white tea. It was ok. It was very light in flavor, a little too light for my preference.

★★★☆☆

This was a very interesting tea, and I never managed to brew the same tea twice. Sweet, floral, grassy, spinach-y, and slightly metallic. Good, but sadly not my cup of tea.

Subtle white tea with fruit and floral notes. A very smooth tea.

★★★★☆

This had a nice, delicate flavor. Very very subtle in flavor actually. This would be a good introduction to typical white tea.

★★★★★

Definitely one of my favorites! Nice light flavor!

★★★★☆

Smooth and buttery, like silver needle should be. One of the few white teas I enjoy. Not the best silver needle I have had, but very good for the price.
