I really enjoyed this! I steeped it Chinese gongfu cha style where I put a larger amount of tea in a smaller Chinese teapot for about 30 seconds. It came out beautifully! So fragrant and almost floral tasting. It's really pleasant to drink with a meal or just by itself. The tea leaves are really good quality too so I got multiple steeps out of it!

★★★★★

A fantastic white tea with completely unbroken leaves and a deep, rich flavour that carries through every dimension of the experience: taste, smell, mouthfeel. A rich experience.

★★★★★

Sooo tasty and sweet! I loved the pale yellow color :) I was a little disappointed with how small the sample was, but it came in a really pretty tin.

Delicate flavor and satisfying scent. Great for the price!

I got a sample of this on sale and I understand why it's so expensive! Holy cow, this stuff is exquisite. The flavor somehow manages to be so delicate and yet so intense at the same time. And the buds are so soft and downy--beautiful in themselves. Definitely above my usual price-point but if I ever need to impress my boss at a dinner party, I'll get a sample box of this for the occasion!

Love the sweet fruity aroma of the dry leaves and the silvery feathery leaves are beautiful. When steeped it did not disappoint. Light and fruity. We really enjoyed this tea at our tea tasting. My sister enjoyed it so much she immediately ordered herself two tins.

I've never tried a 'proper' White Tea until this one, and let me tell you, I enjoy it a lot. White tea appears to be all about the subtlety (Or subtletea, if you will) of the flavors. Nothing here is powerful, or strong, it's merely...pleasant. And I like that a lot. It's very much what I imagine 'zen' tastes like: Almost like nothing, but not an absence of flavor.

My sister brought this one to my house for our 'tea tastings' on Sunday after church. I loved this one so much I bought me 2! Very Light and smooth.

A subtle and delicate tea. Extraordinarily smooth and drinkable. Hint of simple sweetness. I did not find it as complex as some others, but I'm not a big white tea drinker and I think the 'nothingness' is one of the goals of Silver Needle. A very pure, transparent tea. I would recommend trying, especially if you are a fan of white teas.

Light and refreshing. Predominantly cucumber flavor, with a slight grassiness as well. Cool, lingering finish, but very light bodied. Overall a safe, but solid white tea.

★★★★★

Simply the best of the best. Top quality and get multiple brews from the leaves. Smell is excellent. Flavor is on the mark. We are so very happy.

I got this when it was on sale. I didn’t detect anything special with this...I guess I should order the silver needle and try them side by side?

★★★★★

I do agree with most reviewers that this one is simply Silver Needles with a more intense flavor that isn’t overpowering or too much. While I have enjoyed it, I wouldn’t choose one over the other as the flavors aren’t so discernible the one is “better”. I would simply say you can go wrong with either one!

A really delicate but delicious tea. It paired really nicely with adagio's honey for green and white teas, which brought out more of the melon and cucumber.

★★★★★

Nice, and delicate. Be careful not to over steep it, or use too hot of water :)

★★★★★

Lovely tea, it's clearly very high quality and enjoyable to drink.

★★★★☆

It s a really great tea. It has a mellow profile but it goes really nice with a light honey.

Exceedingly delicate. If you're a scottish-breakfast drinker, don't go expecting insane amounts of flavor. This is less like a still-life and more like an abstract.

★★★★★

This is a fantastic white tea. It has quickly become a staple in my household. The flavor is clean, neutral and calming. This is one of the few teas that I enjoy as a novice tea-drinker without any cream or sugar.

By far the best silver needle tea offered by Adiago (in comparison to the standard silver needle )
This tea is light and bursting with floral flavors.
Well worth the price.

I don't understand how, but this tea tastes milky, even without milk. The quality is very high. Very pleasant aroma, and I love the way the tea looks. Don't steep it past 3 minutes though, it gets bitter quick if you lose track of time.

★★★★☆

Currently enjoying this tea for the first time. upon opening I immediately noticed the aromatic quality of this tea. It instantly filled my nostrils and my pallet with excitement. After steeping the leaves, the aroma became even more prevalent. The cucumber taste came though on the nose, but quickly gives way to more of what you would expect from silver needle. I was only disappointed that the aroma did not really stand to match actual savor in the mouth. Overall a nice tea, but for the premium to regular silver needle, I would not purchase again.

Very delicate flavor and enjoyable on cold winter days.

This is a true white tea in every sense of the word. I was shocked at how light the liquor was when I had steeped this. As for the flavor, this was mellow, light, and ever so slightly metallic tasting, like silver. Apt, considering it s name! The tin that this came in was gorgeous, just an all around fancy tea experience. I can t see myself drinking this regularly, but it delivers on being a very decadent white tea.

Although it is considerably more complex than Adagio's regular silver needle and I really like some of the notes in it, this one is just a bit too honeysuckle sweet for my tastes. I prefer Yunnan silver needles, which Adagio does not sell, over Fujian ones, though. Despite my preferences, however, it is a fine tea, and it deserves five stars.

Deliciously light and sweet, with all the qualities I love in silver needle teas.

Great buttery flavor with plenty of subtle fruity notes. The mouthfeel was the highlight, IMHO

★★★★★

If you like delicate white teas give this one a try. It has a smooth and creamy body and a pale golden liquor. The aroma is like sugared honeydew with light blossom notes, and it has subtly sweet melon and cucumber flavors. There is a lasting finish with a bit of astringency that makes you want to keep sipping. My favorite way to prepare it is a gongfu session with steep times of about 2-3 minutes to get multiple infusions. Already planning to order another sample to set aside for a couple of years to see how it ages.

★★★☆☆

The earthy notes sort of crossed over into dirty earth territory, and it was a little to vegetal for me. As it cooled, there were hints of melon along with a slightly sour, grassy quality on the finish. While it was drinkable, I didn't love it. It will probably get forgotten behind all the tea I would rather drink instead.

★★★☆☆

Moderate melon and slightly woodsy flavors were noted from start to finish. Mild cucumber flavors were present in the background and not to my liking A pleasant and mildly buttery mouthfeel was noted throughout and was this teas only redeeming factor. (1st: 4 minutes/Subsequent steeps: 3 mins @ 175ºF, no sugar)

This tea is really weak, even compared to other white teas. The taste and flavor that is there matches the flavor in the description, and it is good, but not nearly enough to justify the price -- especially considering the temptation to use more to compensate its weakness. It does at least hold up well on resteeps.

★★★★★

By FAR my favorite white tea. It’s light on flavor, which I love, but also complex.

This is my first try of a Chinese white tea. I have found that I need to use a little extra of it when brewing it to get the amount of flavor I like. When I do that its very good.

★★★★☆

It was a nice light slightly sweet and refreshing tea. It is a nice white tea. I drink this tea in the afternoon.

I don't have what it takes to fully evaluate a tea like this, but if I can relay my impressions after a few cups? I enjoyed the Fujian Silver Needle and feel like I've had something nice. If you're curious, try a sample of this and compare to it to the regular silver needle. There's a sweetness in this that I didn't detect in the other. You may like it better without the sweetness.

Silver Needle is my favorite white tea. When used in my adagio velociTEA electric tea maker it has the most delicate flavor of all the whites. Keep in mind that the tea maker allows for the selection of your tea type to be prepared at exactly the perfect temperature and brew time

★★★★★

Awesome Tea! Always liked the Silver Needle tea, this one is a step above the rest. Pale color, sweet aroma and very smooth ... yep, this is a keeper!

One of my favorite white teas, period. The liquor yielded is thick and smooth. Flavors present aren't the strongest, but subtle and play perfectly with the delicious mouthfeel. At the right temps resteepings don't introduce hardly any bitterness, although some of the creamy mouthfeel is lost. I could drink this all day long.

Here I am reviewing yet again another white tea. This white tea in particular is a very exquisite and light tea. Most silver needle varietals (unless aged) are usually lighter in flavor than green, or yellow teas. The tea tastes of light hay, and a slight bit vegetable. Overall excellent would always recommend.

Light and delicate. I love sipping this tea and pondering the gentle fruity and floral notes. Resteeps well. Great quality.

★★★★★

A very special and distinct sweet grassy floral flavor. Many white teas I have tried are quite bland, but this is delicious. It holds up to multiple steepings, though I would recommend shorter times and cooler temperatures as typical for a white tea. I prefer stronger-tasting tea, and this was quite enjoyable while still remaining very light. This tea is certainly one of my favorites among the Masters' teas I have tried!

★★★★★

Love this tea! Definitely plan to reorder. Fabulous that is was on sale, too.

★★★★☆

Very good, but I don't see any difference between the normal Silver Needle tea, so I can't justify the higher price
