Another lovely light flavor profile. I enjoyed this one plain no additions. It has a green taste to it.

This tea strikes a great balance between minty flavors and the pleasant remedial qualities that allow someone to breathe and recover in times of sickness

★★★★☆

This tasted and smelled good. I don't know if the health benefits are real but it's a pleasant warm drink for when I'm sick.

★★★☆☆

Mild green tea with a hint of mint and licorice. I wouldn't drink this just for the taste, but it's not bad for a medicinal tea.

I had ordered a sample of this, and I am glad I did.
I came down with Covid for the 2022 Holiday season, and I drank my entire sample pouch in one weekend. It did not cure anything, but together with raw honey it did lighten my cough a little and the fennel and liquorice flavours made it go down a treat. So I recommend it if you have a cold or a cough, together with honey to ease it up a little, and to soothe your throat.
It's not intended as medicinal, but as a heavy black tea drinker, this just felt better when swallowing down a sore throat.

This is a well balanced green tea / herbal blend with ginger, mint, licorice, and fennel. The licorice and ginger are not overwhelming and the fennel helps to balance the flavors. Mint rounds out the cup nicely.

Naturally sweet and pleasant to drink when feeling under the weather. The licorice root is not too strong but sweet enough to make it soothing for the throat, although not as strong as Throat Therapy

I did not care for this blend at all. I wnjot herbal tea, but this was very grassy. Maybe people ignore the taste for the health benefits??? I did drink the full cup But threw out the remainder of my sample. Adagio has so many good teas, why waste the time on this one

Today's CommuniTea packet is speedy recovery with green tea, peppermint leaves, ginger, licorice, cardamom, fennel seed, marigold flowers, black peppercorn and cloves. The mint is strong in this one, which I love. I'm not sure I could discern each spice individually, but overall they blended well. And mint. :-) Mmmm... Brewed in 12 ounces of 180-degree water for three minutes.

I wanted the green tea smoothness so did first steep at 165 for 2.5 minutes. I mostly tasted mint with peppercorn balanced with the green tea. No ginger apparent. Sugar added halfway through mellowed it out. Second steep at 212 for 5 minutes greatly improved flavor! Ginger made an appearance and the mint became not as prominent. Flavors blended well at 212. Definitely tastes more herbal. I can’t speak to the recovery aspect as I’m feeling well

My packet had lots of green tea and peppermint. There were no cloves present, nor cardamom pods/seeds. The aroma was peppermint.
I stepped at 212 for 5 minutes (I don’t have my multi temp kettle). I found this to basically taste like green peppermint. There was really no strong spice taste nor was there any kick. That said it was a very enjoyable tea.

It was a good cup of tea I enjoy it, you can taste the mint and ginger.

I was hoping the spices would be more forward than the mint, or at least be able to match it, but this is still an exceedingly mint heavy blend. If you enjoy mint, with kicks of peppercorn and licorice and ginger, then you'll surely like this.

A lovely start for the day after a full night of heavy food and a few too many drinks. The mint is most prominent, but the licorice and fennel were also noticeable

I do love Adagio Wellness teas! This Speedy Recovery is quite good. A bit of Green Tea caffeine zing with that herbal licorice, mint & fennel vibe...a great way to have a peppy healing elixir cuppa.

Absolutely loved this--so much so that I ordered a bag! First time I've done that this month. It does have a minty, medicinal smell when brewing. The taste is zingy with mint and ginger dominating. The other flavors including the green tea are nicely balanced and provide the perfect counterpoint. Brewed per instructions. Added a teaspoon of honey. Will go back to this often in the winter season.

So very yummy and fresh! I love It. Make me feel healthy. My husband makes it for me when I feel Under the weather

I received this tea in my CommuniTEA box and the timing was perfect because it was very soothing to drink the day after too much Christmas indulgence!

CommuniTEA portion: 195 for 5 minutes. Nice minty comfort tea that soothes. The ginger gives it a nice kick as well as assisting with more benefits. Enjoyable!

This is a comforting blend which I think would indeed help with recovery if something were just a bit off. I was a fan of the light licorice flavor, and the spices are well balanced.

Speedy Recovery- This one also took me off guard. I saw in the ingredient line up that there was licorice in this tea. I was expecting that it would at least come out in the flavor, since in all the teas every ever had with licorice in it it is normally a prevalent flavor. it was not in this tea. actually the only flavor I really tasted from this tea was plain green tea flavor. Its not a bad thing since I like the taste of plain green teas.

a super nice comforting tea! I'm not currently sick, but it does help warm me up anyway!

This tasted like peppermint green tea to me with a kick of pepper on the back end. It was a very enjoyable brew but I did not detect cardamom, fennel, ginger or cloves. The cloves, for once, did not overpower the rest of the flavors, which is a good thing. Perhaps it is just the mix in my packet, although there is a scent of cardamom in the packet. I brewed at 180 for five minutes. Based on Jim's review I did not attempt a second steep.

Very soothing when warm and I enjoyed the combination of flavors with the hint of licorice. The green tea wasn't grassy at all. It seemed to calm my upset stomach as well. I picked out the marigolds due to an allergy.

Earthy green tea flavors stand out throughout, with subtle and refreshing hints of mint and ginger. Licorice and fennel create barely-there sweet and peppery notes. This is a nice and uplifting tea, but the flavor combination is kind of odd.

Minty with a hint of ginger and licorice. This was a nice cup of tea to have to make you feel better at anytime even if your not sick. I could imagine if I were sick while drinking this its not too overwhelming to not want to drink while sick.

Another great blend I’ve discovered through my Communitea sample. I like peppermint and licorice, but never thought to try them together. The flavors are strong enough to taste them, but not too strong to be overpowering. One of the things I don’t like about peppermint tea normally is that it actually makes my stomach feel weird after drinking it. But this had a good mix of flavors to make it very enjoyable.

I have had this tea before when I was sick. I couldn't really taste it at the time , so I didn't review it. Today I am trying this as part of CommuniTea. I always get a tad nervous when I see licorice, but it did its part without over powering the cup. I mostly tasted mint and ginger, which is fine with me. This is a tea to keep in your stash for when you are feeling under the weather.

This reminds me of a lighter version of Aveda's comforting tea (lighter on licorice root). Quite enjoyable.

Most 'sick day/comfort' teas are herbal-only so it was interesting to see this one include green tea, too. Instructions say to brew at 212 for 5 minutes like an herbal, but that would be a bit too much for a green, so I compromised at 200 for 3 minutes.

On the sip I mostly get peppermint and ginger, with just a lingering hint of licorice and not much of the other spices. I did appreciate that there was no added 'flavoring,' and could see this being a decent boost on a morning when you're not feeling your best but need to wake up a little.

Brewed at 5 minutes at 212. The strongest taste in this tea is the mint with some chamomile and light spices. Makes for an enjoyable wellness cup. Would get this one again.

This is a wonderfully healthy and feel good tea! It's light and enjoyable, with a slight licorice flavor in the background. The aroma is not over powering, which is good for when we are sick. I have used this at the onset of a sickness and realized later the sickness never came to be. It actually works! This is a very soothing and calming cup of tea. I am have steeped it both ways @212 and 180. My preferred way is 5 min @212. There is more flavor and the spices come out more. Another great tea Adagio!

This tea has an interesting combination of flavors. The mint is most the predominant flavor, but the licorice and spice flavors make their presence known. Not something I would want to drink every day, but it is good when you are feeling a little off.

This is a pretty good wellness tea for when your tummy is out of sorts. Its flavor is pleasant and I enhanced it with raw honey. I steeped at 180 degrees for 5 minutes.

I generally dislike licorice flavour in tea, but I don't mind it in these sick-kid teas (as we call them in my house). I think it must be the combination with the mint, I don't notice it as much. And I like having a tea like this on hand when anyone starts to get some sniffles or a scratchy throat. This one is a nice mellow blend, but it still seems like it would do the trick.

Speedy Recovery

Due to the warnings on the Speedy Recovery listing, I’ve decided to pass on this blend. I’m leery about drinking that has a warning to talk to a doctor or health care provider in any given circumstance. Since I won’t be drinking it, I’ll give it a middle of the road rating with the caveat, that, given the ingredients, it sounds like it could be a very nice blend for those like peppermint, licorice, green tea, fennel, etc.

This tasted mostly of mint. Under that were the competing flavors of ginger and licorice. Feeling sick I appreciated it but it was a strange blend.

Good, but not something I'd go to when I was in the mood for tea.

Surprisingly tasty for what it is, I taste mint more than anything else, and a bit of very light licorice root. It’s distinctive, but very good. I was getting a little nauseous on the car ride to Christmas with the fam (received as a Communitea sample the day after Christmas), and I know this is caffeinated but I wanted it now because I felt like maybe it would help. I feel bit better after drinking it, but that could just be because I’m back home lol

In the bag: Mainly rough, dark green tea leaves. A healthy scattering of marigold flowers brings streaks of bright yellow. A few ginger bits and small clove buds. Finely chopped peppermint leaves.

On the nose (pre-steep): Best summarized as mint with a musty backnote. I sense there are other scents here but they're hard to distinguish. Perhaps a bit of licorice.

On the nose (post-steep): An even balance of grassy green and mint. Most of the musty note has left. Medium intensity.

On the tongue: Despite my high temp and time, the grassy green flavors came through unscathed. Much like the scent, an even combo of green tea and mint.

Opinion: A pleasant tea, especially for folks like me who don't like naked greens and thus enjoy additives that help out. Peppermint and green are a good compliment. I didn't get much of the other advertised flavors, though.

Preparation: 5 min @ 212 ℉. Adagio recommended this prep to boost the spice flavors, so I gave it a shot. I didn't add sweetener since the mint already provided a sugary flavor.

Good for you without tasting like it’s good for you. The mint is more prominent while the tea is hot As it cools, the licorice becomes more noticeable. Soothing to drink.

I purchased speedy Recovery to have on hand for winter yucks. I had RSV in November, and this tea was soothing and helped with my congestion. I enjoyed the melting pot of flavors in this blend. It is nice to see tea blends use fennel seed, black peppercorn, and licorice effectively. If you like those strong, spicy flavors, give this a try! Sip, sip away!

I really like this tea. I recently wasn't feeling well and decided to try this tea and I think it really works. My cold seemed to not be so bad after sipping on this for a couple days. Purchased more for in the future if I'm feeling under the weather.
