This tea was good, but I think for a 'coffee replacement' I prefer the mocha nut mate. This was still good, a little spicy like a chai, but very very mild.

I was looking for a tea that would replace my morning coffee and satisfy my partner's midafternoon caffeine boost. I'm trying to encourage him to drink tea in the afternoon instead of coffee. I have a winner! I made this in the Adagio ToasTEA Travel Mug for him to take to work. He enjoyed it! I made a 12oz mug for myself. I mixed one teaspoon Jump Start with one teaspoon Caramel. I added a little maple syrup and almond milk creamer. Delicious!

Great morning tea if you like toasty and earthy teas. I get some chocolate at the end as well.

I need my coffee every morning, but when it’s one of those awful days when the bag is empty I reach for this.

★★★★★

I use vanilla syrup and sweet cream creamer and almost taste like a chai latte and I don't even like chai but this is so good!

This one is not for me. I don't get any hints of cinnamon or cocoa. All I taste is earthy black tea. If you are a fan of traditional teas, you will probably love this one. I will stick to flavored black teas.

★★★★★

I got it to replace coffee. I love it! It has a delicate fall flavor that reminds me of a mild chai. It’s energizing without the caffeine jitters.

The taste is amazing. All the flavors come together so perfectly and remind me of fall baking.

This was a fantastic way to help me get going in the morning. I definitely plan to order again.

Wakes me up better than coffee and I love the cinnamon flavour.

I liked this well enough to finish the small package. Not my first choice for a morning drink

This is one of my favorite adagio blends! I drink this every day now!

★★★★★

Love the flavor and LOVE the caffeine kick. This is a great morning tea and the longer steep really brings out the goodness. A lovely deep flavor.

This is my new go to afternoon tea. It's delicious!

★★★★★

Huge fan of Jump Start. Caffeine. Caffeine. Caffeine.
The taste could be a little odd for someone not used to mate. If your a fan of mate this one should be added to your collection.

★★★★★

This one has been my favorite! I had to switch from coffee to tea, and I needed something with caffeine that wasn’t bitter. I’ve never been a fan of tea, but this one I like.

★★★★★

I tried this in a sample pack and had to order a bigger one after. Grate flavor and pick me up for my mornings.

Very pleasant and energizing tea. Love the cinnamon!

★★★★☆

The smell straight out of the bag is very overpowering. However, it is much more pleasant once steeped. The cinnamon taste is pretty strong, but really the only downside (but I usually go for pretty simple and prefer plain yerba mate if I'm looking for something with high caffeine).

★★★☆☆

A little bitter in my opinion. I definitely needed to sweeten it. I had previously had a cup which had steeped for less time (~4 minutes) and still wanted to sweeten, but I decided that since it said 5-10 minutes I would try that amount of time for the review. It smells pretty complex and also a bit sweet, but neither of those things really come through. It does taste a bit spiced, like it wants to be chai when it grows up but it's not quite there. All in all, not a terrible flavor. The reason I gave it such a low rating though, is because it didn't really give me the caffeine boost I was looking for. It didn't 'jump start' me, and I actually went back to its page after drinking it to make sure it said high caffeine and I wasn't just crazy. It did make me feel a little more focused, but not at all more awake. I had one cup in the afternoon when I was pretty tired, and I was still so tired I ended up taking a nap!
TL;DR: taste is a little bitter but fine after sweetening, but didn't give me the caffeine boost I wanted.

Flavor is much more subtle than I would have liked and I wouldn't really say it gave me a "jump start". It was just kind of ok

This reminds me so much of coffee, I actually use it as a replacement.

I am looking to cut my coffee consumption, and in addition to a variety of black teas, I decided to try two toasted mates. I liked Mocha Nut Mate better than Jump Start, but I was surprised at how much I still liked Jump Start. When I opened the bag and smelled the cinnamon, I was sure I wouldn't like it, since it smelled like red hots, rather than cinnamon sticks. But the cinnamon in the cup is subtle. I did steep it twice, and both cups were equally good. I accidentally steeped it at too low a temperature, because I assumed it was the same temp as Mocha Nut Mate, which I found too low so I upped it to 175. When I make it again I will use the proper temp and maybe a longer steep and perhaps I will like it better.

Update: I tried this again, brewed at 212 as recommended for 7 minutes, and did not like it at all. I tried my best, but I ended up dumping out about half the cup. To finish my sample, I will definitely steep at a lower temp since it was rather pleasant then.

The sample was more flavorful than the 4 oz tin, but I reached out to Adagio and my thoughts that this is to be expected were confirmed. Still a really wonderful tea, definitely perks me up if I'm needing something with more kick than a black tea and not as high-octane as coffee. Delicious flavor!

Great morning tea!
This is the tea my daughter likes to drink in the morning. Lots of caffeine and some spices/herbs for a good start into the day.

We would have never got this but we got it in the CommuniTea and it was delicious! It is a tea for anytime in the day in my opinion

★★★★☆

I am not a big Mate fan, but this toasted mate mixed with black tea is really good.
You really get a jump start without feeling as if you had to much coffee.

★★★★★

I love this tea in the morning! The toasted matte and cocoa nibs add a great kick to the black tea. All the flavors mesh so well together. Sweet, earthy, and robust!

Flavor not as anticipated, bland and somewhat bitter

★★★☆☆

I can't really taste any flavorings in the tea that well. Just tastes like plain tea. Doesn't seem to wake me up any better than other high-caffeine blends.

★★★★☆

I found this to be a really good coffee substitute. The taste wasn't as flavorful as I'd like, I found it to be pretty bland with a little kick of cinnamon.

Nope. Not this guy. It was chalky and tasted like Ovaltine,

Something about this tea tastes like coffee, and I detest coffee. It's a no for me.

Love this one. Great taste. Very smooth. Used a little of my rock sugar crystals to sweeten.

This tea smelled like I was taking a walk in the woods on an early autumn day. The cinnamon was very light, but I could taste it.

If a coffee could be a flavor of tea, this is what it would taste like. It's not what I'd normally drink to wake myself up in the morning, but I found myself loving the flavor and enjoying it on mornings. I would definitely get a bigger bag of this, and would recommend it.

★★★★★

Love it with a touch of sugar and cream. Wonderful way to start my mornings

This is a good caffeine boost to start my day. It's not my number one reached for tea or anything, but I like it after my normal breakfast tea if I feel the need for an energy boost.

Definitely a good coffee replacement tea and a great pick me up in the morning. The flavoring is perfect. I steeping longer then 3 mins. I like my tea on the steonger side.

Great flavor, great tea! Really does give you a jump start to your day.

If you’re looking for a high caffeine coffee alternative look not further! The taste reminds me of cola but I can’t pinpoint the exact flavor that makes me think that. It’s definitely worth a try imo

★★★★★

This reminded me of a Doctor Who blend (Whovian Feels) but without the green tea. Really good flavor!
