I'm a little biased as I'm trying to wind down from a cup of coffee every morning. This is a delicious blend, though it didn't quite keep me as perked up as my usual coffee does. I'm going to give it more time for my body to adjust and I do genuinely think if you're trying to ween yourself off coffee or energy drinks, this is a good choice.
This was delightful and bright. I really enjoyed it.
Yeah!! A tea that actually wakes you up! Not sparingly with the caffeine so be wary if you are a lightweight. For those, like me, that need a swift kick in the backside to get the day going, this is a tea for you!
I'm usually a caffeine free gal, and I don't drink coffee, but I thought I'd give this a try in the mornings. It's not bad, not my favorite, but that's no fault of the tea. I'm just not used to caffeine or hot tea (usually an iced tea drinker).
wonderful warm flavors from the cocoa nibs, smooth mouthfeel, and gives you a nice li'l wake up kick to start the day. Good with some cream as well.
I really really really enjoy jump start. It's such a great alternative for days I don't want to start with coffee. I felt very energized and alert.

My espresso machine broke and I had a sample of this in my cupboard. I drank it in desperation for morning caffeine. It tastes great and woke me up just as well as my morning coffee always does
Lovely roasted chai that's cinnamon heavy. Makes a tasty latte and is one of my favorite morning pickups.
I absolutely love this in the mornings. Good flavors in winter or summer. Wish it had a big more caffeine for the pick me up but maybe I'm just more tolerant
I have some jumpstart in my cup as I write this, and I cannot explain it, but this tea reminds me of Walt Disney World. It is comfy and warm and perfect.
I'm a big fan of having a cup in the morning. I drink too much caffeine all day long to say much about the effect, but it's tasty and good for my routine.
Great energy boost without jitters or expensive energy drinks
We tried this one at a loca(ish) tea room and liked it enough to purchase it for home - it does have caffeine so we don’t choose it as often as other teas.
This one is not for me! I found it to be too much of everything I didn’t like.
This was a strong tea but boy did it wake me up which was si nice on new years.
Full disclosure: I have not yet tried this blend, so this review is just my initial impression until I have a chance to taste it, then I will update accordingly.
In general, I like a mate tea as I feel it does wake me up better than a black tea due to the higher amount of caffeine. Given that this blend has both, be extra mindful if you are sensitive to caffeine because I'm sure it will live up to its name to give you a jump start whenever you need it!
This is my first time sampling a mate tea and it was delightful. I had no expectations going in and was pleased to find this a smooth, mellow, and easy to drink tea that I'm looking forward to trying more of. Steeped 6 minutes for my first brew and 10 for my second at 204°.
This tea was a New experience for me...slightly nutty, cinnamony...yet at the same time, sometimes I took a sip and it just tasted like plain tea lol. Definitely one I would try again to experiment with different Temps, amounts, etc.
Smell was wonderful of a mix of chocolate and cinnamon. Steeped for 7 minutes/210 I haven’t had many mate teas. I would say this is a good tea that has aspects I enjoy. Nuttiness, cinnamon and the notes of chocolate. Added nothing. It’s a nice tea that is smooth and not too strong to me. The caffeine definitely helped wake me up.
I may have messed this up by making a half pot instead of a single cuppa-- but this late in the day I don't want the heavy caffeine hit. I noticed this was smoother than the Maté teas I have tried in the past, and notably less bitter. I didn't notice the hint of Cocoa flavor until I added cream to my serving, but when I did it was there in the taste and the aroma. Fingers crossed that the caffeine got diluted a bit.
A fun blend with cinnamon and chocolate. The black tea and mate balance each other well.
I liked the blend combo. It is lovely with a longer seep, and it's naturally sweet. The caffeine did not give me any jitters.
Deep sweet cinnamon smell when the packet was opened. Lovely toasted mate and black tea blend. Not too strong, slightly sweet flavor.
CommuniTEA sample: 5 min @ 212 F, This tea smells sweet and almost fruity, the cinnamon is pleasant and there's almost a honey like aroma. But I do not like how it tastes, far too bitter. I like the flavor of mate, but I think toasted mate cannot be steeped in boiling water. I don't know about the kola nuts, but I suspect that that addition gave me some perception of this tasting like coffee that I didn't like.
I generally don't like toasted things, but I think the cinnamon does a lot of heavy lifting in this blend. Smooth and not too bitter.
I cannot drink mate without adverse side effects, so I will gift it to a friend who can enjoy it.
Solid mate although not too overpowering on flavor besides the toasted flavoring.

A little more tannic than I like, but I actually used half the first brew and added a second steeping and made an iced tea that was delicious. I'll be making more iced tea as the days get hotter.
Great flavor and I love the energy boost I get with this one. I take it with me to work at the Hospital in my thermos. A great pick up when I need it. I always add this to my order!
This tea is amazing!!! Smells great when opened and tastes great. A very solid tea and definitely my favorite from adiago.
My favorite morning tea! Easier on my stomach than coffee, but really gets the job done! Also, incredibly tasty…not harsh or bitter as some extra-energy teas I’ve tried.
this was my first introduction to tea when I decided to give up coffee. I will say it is my wake up every single day. I can't say enough about this tea short of if it had a 'tea jingle' for a commercial it would be similar to the old coffee commercial we all remember.
I made a mistake when I only purchased a sample of this. I couldn’t get enough! The flavor is perfect, and it’s just the boost of caffeine I need to “jump start” my mornings!
This was sent as a sample in my order, and I absolutely love it!!! It put a little 'jump' in my step. I enjoyed the smoky and nutty flavors.

This tea reminds me of cinnamon swirl bread. It smelled similar to a bakery. Taste reminds me of caramelized pecans.
The aroma of this tea was outstanding as I opened my CommuniTea packet -- nice chocolatey cinnamon spicy smell! And the brewed tea did not disappoint...lovely toasted chocolate flavor with a slightly sweet background taste that reminds me of raisins? Or maybe maple? Or a blend of the two? Lovely! I'm pretty new to mate tea...but so far I'm finding I like it!
1/1/2022 - I love the taste of this tea, but discovered soon after first trying mate teas that my body doesn't react well to it. I drink coffee and tea liberally, but mate seems to be too much of a jolt in one cup for me. I get jittery and just feel off. I can handle a mate blend...when most of the blend is another type of tea. While I really liked the taste of this tea, it's one I just can't have. I have the same reaction from Ginseng as well. So I leave teas with either alone most of the time, or enjoy a small amount on occasion. Good tea -- just not for me. My body says no.

1/1/2024 - coming around again in CT! :) This tea smells wonderful and I remember that it tasted great too, but can't drink it anymore. My body just does not appreciate mate.
This didn't hit the spot for New Years. I got the cinnamon hint but it was flat. I'll try it chilled in a few hours and see if that makes a difference.
This was a real let down, I was looking forward to a great tea start to the new year and this one fell flat for me, It was just so weak, a subtle taste when I wanted more, I steeped it at 205 for 5 minutes so that wasn't the issue. Maybe I got a bad pack, who knows.
The matte is pretty strong flavor. It is not my favorite taste.
This is a nice nutty, cinnamon chocolate blend. It's smooth and a little malty. It's delicious plain.
I hoped the cinnamon would come through not just in aroma, but to cover the taste of the mate. 2 min @ 165. While there is a hint of cinnamon, the taste of the mate is overpowering for me. Just not a fan of mate. But I keep trying them!

My first time trying mate tea. Didn't use cold water to start as I didn't know you were supposed to do that. Steeped for 8 minutes at 212F. Surprisingly not bitter at all given the steeping time. Reddish-brown liquid, strong woody flavor. No sweetness noted. Caffeine content was immediately apparent once I'd finished the cup. Excited to brew this properly next time a mate tea comes around.
Very nice energizing tea. It tastes like black tea and sweet toasted nuts. I used the portion packet size, 6 oz of boiling water and steeped for 5 minutes. I added a little condensed milk to it.

Update for 1/1/24: I enjoyed this blend in a Mate Gourd!! I found it almost to taste like French Toast with Cinnamon, this time around, imbibing this Maté blend. So wondrous!!
Toasty and nutty this was an interesting and tasty blend with a touch of cinnamon. I could taste the kola nut, which really is a unique and enjoyable flavor. It's a great pick-me-up tea to give a little boost to your day.
