3 Dec 2021 re-taste & review: All ingredients present this time; even the raspberries, lots of rose hips and hibiscus. No aromas were noted.
I had 3.23 grams, enough for a 13 ounce steep. I steeped at 212°F for 5 minutes.
When hot, hibiscus flavors were mild. Mild tart flavors were noted from the rose hips. Lemongrass flavors were mild. I added ⅜ teaspoon of sugar to tame tart and sour flavors, and bring berry flavors forward.
When warm, moderate hibiscus sour flavors were noted. Rose hip floral and tart flavors were strong. Mild berry and lemongrass flavors were noted.
This blend was way too floral for my liking. If you like hibiscus and rose hips, you’ll probably like this one. Unfortunately, I could not finish it. (5 mins @ 212ºF, ⅜ tsp sugar)
⭐️⭐️⭐️ 2 Dec 20 communiTEA review: As far as I could tell, just about everybody was present in my communiTEA packet. However, the raspberries were a no show. The tiny little elderberries were getting ready to plump up and release their juices.
When hot, a stately crimson color was noted in my mug. A strong tartness was noted from the hibiscus and rose hips. I added some sugar in hopes of bringing out the berry flavors. The lemongrass added a nice lemony taste in the background. When warm, there was still some tartness noted. The elderberry came forward with pleasant berry flavors. The lemongrass and apple decided to add just the proper amount of their flavors to the mix. The rose hips added some floral aromas and tastes to top things off. At the end, this one was still just a little too tart and floral for my liking. (5 mins @ 212ºF, sugar)
I didn’t know quite what to expect from this tisane, and I have to admit it surprised me, in a good way. It smelled very “outdoorsy” upon opening. I think the standout aroma was the raspberries, or maybe the hibiscus. (I’m not sure what some of the ingredients present in my packet smell like individually.) It is a very pretty tisane, greens and reds with lots of apples.
I Steeped at 212* for 5 minutes in approximately 12 oz of water. It steeped into a really pretty reddish-purple color and smelled great. I sweetened with 2 tsp of tea sugar to help balance out the tartness. It was still pretty tart, but very enjoyable. It brought back memories of a special tea I had at a Christkindl market in Germany many years ago. Five stars for this one.
I don't drink this tea anymore since I think I'm allergic to something in it. It has a light flavor so I prefer it without cream or sugar. It's good alone but also mixes really well with floral teas.

A wonderful fireside tea, rosy red with a tart cranberry like flavor and a pleasant lemongrass finish. This blend has more of a wine-like taste as the tea cools. A sweetener add also brings out the berry/apple flavor which mixes and mingles with the tart rose hips and hibiscus and the slightly sour echinacea to mimic a red wine flavor. If this is medicine in a teacup, I’ll gladly take a daily dose of this delightful and healthy mead at 5.
My CT packet had 2 g/ 2 ¾ tsp of a colorful assortment of yellow apple pieces, green lemon grass, blue cornflowers, and dark red berry pieces. Brewed 10 oz. at 212*F for 5 min. (I use less water for herbal brews) and enjoyed a smaller, much milder resteep with agave to sweeten.. This was wonderful chilled with a milder and less tart berry flavor. I was so surprised at how much I enjoyed this tea today! It was very tasty!
A fruity and very tart herbal tea. I added some honey to tone down the tartness.

This is a delicious sweet tea with a richness that makes for the perfect mug. Comforting on a crisp fall morning or cool evenings as we approach winter.
This is sour, sweet, and a beautiful red color. I enjoy it for myself but it’s also really fun for kids to include them when making a cup of tea!
This is my go to sick tea. Elderberry is great for colds and this one is no different. I love it.
I currently do not have much of a sense of taste or smell due to Covid. However, I managed to detect a slight amount of tartness from this tea. It also has a very pleasant mouthfeel. I look forward to trying it when my senses return completely.

Very good tea. Smooth, fruity, and delicious. I used 2 tsp. of tea with 1 tsp. of Adagio's rock sugar.

The elderberry lends a tart, pleasantly bitter tang to this herbal tea. Floral and fragrant, this is definitely a new fave for me in the evening

It reminds me a lot of the passion fruit tango, but with a grapey vibe to it. I really enjoyed it. So if you love Passion Fruit Tango (I do...lol), this is a really good side tea to have when your cheating on PFT.
This tea is so good. I savor it every time. If you haven't tried it, you must!

This is a great tea. I love how the flavors taste together. The hint of lemon aftertaste is refreshing and keeps the other florals from overwhelming the elderberry and raspberry.
I liked this tea but didn t *love* it. I haven t tried it iced yet though. That seems like a better option. @adagioteas
This tea is... okay. It has far too much cranberry flavor, and not enough actual elderberry taste to it. It's an odd balance of trying to stay light but being murky too - get rid of the trying to be light part and it would do a lot better. Drop the apple and lemongrass, add more elderberry, and drop the rosehips for blackberry pieces. To me, elderberry wine should be more on the tart side.
Hoping to boost immunity with this one. Tastes good and I use local honey for more health benefits

Excellent tea. I am enjoying this tea and using it to boost my immune system during the cooler months when we're all subject to colds & upper respiratory illnesses. This is a more savory tea and one I find quite comforting when I drink it. There is a sweet fruitiness to this tea which dampens down the tartness of the elderberries. It brews into a beautiful deep wine color that is so pretty in a clear glass mug/cup. I do add a bit of honey when I feel like I want it just a tad sweeter. I enjoy this tea while working on a quilt in my sewing studio.

While I’ve never had elderberries or wine made from them before, this tisane greatly reminded me of dark fortified fruit wines - without the alcohol of course.

This tea had very little flavor. Since I only had a sample I was not able to experiment with different blends to see if there was a better way to drink this one.
This was a great tea. It had a lot of flavor and a beautiful color. I drank it iced and it was amazing. It's a new favorite in my tea collection.
A digestif is a kind of liqueur served after large, filling meals to help settle your stomach and digest your food – think fortified wines like Sherry, international brandies. That is what this reminds me of. It's perfect after dinner with some Adagio Tea Cookies.

This is a very rich and deep fruity blend. Most of the fruity herbal blends, I prefer iced, but this one is better warm, to me. I also enjoyed it with a cinnamon stick thrown in to steep, for a little extra flavor.

Very strong fruit flavor. Flavor was a little overpowering hot, but very good iced.
A bit tangier and fruitier than my ideal, almost like a watered down juice. Good quality for what it is, just not to my taste.
