I like what they were going for with this one, but I think the flavor is just far too subtle. If you like subtle & floral flavors, you will probably enjoy it, but I just found it a bit lacking.

This tea is fantastic. Fruity with a slight floral taste. Perfect before bed, or after dinner.

Loved this. A little goes a long way and it's a beautiful color. I mixed with the butterfly pea powder and holy moly what a delight. If you like fruity teas, I def rec this

I liked having this in the morning. It woke me up without the sugar and caffeine. The aroma was soft and my kitchen smell like a field of flowers.

I’m a fan of the sweetness! It’s a go-to after a long day, right after dinner since it’s sweet enough like dessert.

This tea is a nice change from my normal black tea. It has a nice fruit component and it always comforts when I'm slightly under the weather.

I love the pervasive tartness of this blend. This blend is wonderfully sweet by itself, especially with a longer brew. It works as a perfect seasonal drink or merely as a tasty wind-me-down.

Not my absolute favorite, in so glad sample sizes exist.

This tea was beautiful! The tea itself had so many textures and colors and the brew is such a lovely shade of pink. But the flavor didn’t wow me. I finished the cup (NEVER waste quality tea!!) but it’s not something I would choose over a good earl grey. Don’t let me dissuade you since I am not really a fan of hibiscus teas. If hibiscus teas are your bag, this may be right up your alley!

Whew that's tart!! But it's nothing some honey can't fix, I had to put more honey then usual but this tea is really tasty.

A tangy tea that was delightful when cold steeped overnight. Had a sweet berry flavored undertone under the tartness. I haven't had it hot, but I imagine it would be just as good, especially if blended with a green or black tea.

Lovely dry tea and then when you steep it, oh my! Beautiful scarlet colors are dancing in my cup. Enjoyed the fruity yet tart flavors of this tea. I did add just a bit of honey to pull the berry flavors forward a bit. I could see myself drinking this most evenings and it would make a great iced tea for the warmer months. Steeped at 212 for 7 mins. Cheers!

I love hibiscus, rose, and lemongrass in teas. I drink hibiscus daily for the health benefits. This combination was a definite win for me!

Between the rose hips and the hibiscus, this cup was so tangy I couldn't hardly taste any other flavors. Not exactly what I was expecting!

This was a nice and fruity tea, though I wasn't a huge fan of it by itself. A touch of honey was all I needed to smooth the tartness, though!

CommuniTEA Review: This is a great herbal blend. The elderberries, hibiscus, rose hips and lemongrass pair well together to create a tart, fruity cup of tea. It brews into a beautiful red wine color. I drank this hot, but it would be great iced as well.

Beautiful fruity tea with a punch of tartness and complex flavors. I didn’t need to add anything and enjoyed it plain. Great both hot and cold.

It ok this tea has a tart taste (212 @ 5 min.) My Dad would make elderberry wine and it was sweet.

This is an easy way to get elderberry for those who use the supplement. I didn't think it tasted like my grandfather's home brewed elderberry wine, which was actually very sweet. Adding honey to the tea improves the taste since there is quite a bit of hibiscus.

I’m not sure what I’m meant to taste in the elderberry, but to me this is a milder hibiscus blend.

Beautiful red color, but the hibsicus and rose hips created quite a tart tea. I added far more sweetener than I usually do to eliminate the pucker. The lemongrass is a good add for the flavor profile. I think it would be refreshing as an iced tea in the summer. (212°F x 5 min)

Yum. Tart fruity sip which is wonderful! Have to try this iced in the summer. Yum.

All I can really taste in this is the hibiscus, which is not my favorite - it's too astringent and drowns out any of the other flavors.

★★★☆☆

I remain not a fan of hibiscus, which seemed to be the dominant flavor here. It was just tolerable, and nothing worth repeating.

★★★★☆

This caffiene free tea is on the tart side. The fruit flavors are subtle and it brews to a beautiful color. I enjoyed it hot but think this would be great iced.

Good flavor, tart but not overly tart. This could be nice in a blend to create a mock mulled wine.

Updated review 12/3/21: I brewed this tisane today at 195° for 3 minutes, and added a generous spoon of sugar. The resulting brew was comforting and fruity, warm and comforting. While still not a favorite, I may have to keep this one on hand for the days when warm and fruity is desired.
This tea was interesting and unexpected. I prepared this by steeping for 5 minutes at about 185 degrees. Beautiful color, fragrance was almost medicinal as others have mentioned. I’m not a fan of herbal teas hot, so I prepared to drink it cold, pouring over a glass full of ice. While drinkable, the flavor was very weak. I then sampled the remaining tea hot. When hot (and full strength) the tea was pleasantly tart and sour. Adding a bit of sugar brought out its full star power! The flavor rounded out and became almost rich. While it won’t become a regular on my list, it was a fun opportunity to experience a new brew!

A fruity yet slightly earthy scent of elderberries was present as we opened today's packet. A full 5 minute steep at 212°F produced a scarlet red-colored tisane.

Tart hibiscus was in the foreground, followed by fruity berry flavor. A hint of lemongrass was detectable behind layers of berry. The hibiscus was a bit tart yet not overpoweringly so. However, I still decided to add some rock sugar to tame down the hibiscus zing.

The rock sugar brought out more fruity berry flavors, while still leaving a bit of tanginess similar to elderberry juice.

Overall a great herbal elderberry blend!

Deep and complex, lovely mix of berry, hibiscus and tart grape flavor. I also really love the color and how it changes the apple pieces from yellow to purple.

Yet another wonderful tisane! I love how the tart hibiscus and rose hips play off the sweet elderberries. The lemongrass just tops it all off like a cherry on a sundae. To get the best flavor from Adagio tisanes I use twice the amount of tea. I brewed this at 200° for 6 minutes.

Nice and tart, fruity and reminds me of a dessert wine. I had to use extra sweetener then normal to calm all the flavors going on. YES! I do indeed have a sweet tooth. Lol : Temp 212 : 5 minutes: sweetener (extra) : 12 oz mug.

CommuniTEA Sample: A very nice herbal tea that reminds me of Christmas. Not the traditional Christmas spices, but just something about the floral aspect of it. The hibiscus did bring up some tartness, but it was blended well. A very nice cuppa today!

I found this tea very tart. When it was hot the apple and hibiscus flavors came threw the strongest, reminding me of granny smith apples.
As the tea cooled the apple flavor gave way to the more floral ingredients, rose hips, lemon grass and the ever presnt and slightly overwhelming hibiscus.

Dec 2021 Update: The dry ingredients and packet are definitely reminiscent of elderberry syrup and raspberries. Once steeped for 5 mins at 212° F, I notice a beautiful burgundy colored liquid with purple rim/hallow with subtle elderberry notes in my cup. Like my previous review, when I take a sip, this tea is really all about the hibiscus with some tart elderberry thrown in. However, the elderberry does balance out the sour well.

Dec 2020 Review: This is a hibiscus/rosehip strong fruit tea and therefore has a strong sour fruit flavor. If that is your cup of tea, this is a tea for you.

This tea starts sweet and finishes tart with berry depth and a lingering lemon taste. It's a very pleasant sip. I didn't find it incredibly strong at 1tsp/5 minutes, but I have some hope for a longer brew and a cold brew. I am not the biggest fan of hibiscus or lemongrass, so the fact that this tea can carry both of them in a pleasant sip is impressive in my book.

I didn't get much tartness from this, but I'm not a fan of hibiscus or rose hips, which definitely come through. Otherwise, the flavor is mellow and smooth. Sugar is a must. I imagine this might make a good mixer, but it seems just OK on its own.

This is so good. Excellent mix of sweet and sour. Another for the wishlist.

It has been a long time since I have had anything elderberry. This tea is tart (thank you, hibiscus) and has a complex flavor profile. The dry tea is gorgeous with all of the colors and shapes.

3 Dec 2021 re-taste & review: All ingredients present this time; even the raspberries, lots of rose hips and hibiscus. No aromas were noted.

I had 3.23 grams, enough for a 13 ounce steep. I steeped at 212°F for 5 minutes.

When hot, hibiscus flavors were mild. Mild tart flavors were noted from the rose hips. Lemongrass flavors were mild. I added ⅜ teaspoon of sugar to tame tart and sour flavors, and bring berry flavors forward.

When warm, moderate hibiscus sour flavors were noted. Rose hip floral and tart flavors were strong. Mild berry and lemongrass flavors were noted.

This blend was way too floral for my liking. If you like hibiscus and rose hips, you’ll probably like this one. Unfortunately, I could not finish it. (5 mins @ 212ºF, ⅜ tsp sugar)

⭐️⭐️⭐️ 2 Dec 20 communiTEA review: As far as I could tell, just about everybody was present in my communiTEA packet. However, the raspberries were a no show. The tiny little elderberries were getting ready to plump up and release their juices.

When hot, a stately crimson color was noted in my mug. A strong tartness was noted from the hibiscus and rose hips. I added some sugar in hopes of bringing out the berry flavors. The lemongrass added a nice lemony taste in the background. When warm, there was still some tartness noted. The elderberry came forward with pleasant berry flavors. The lemongrass and apple decided to add just the proper amount of their flavors to the mix. The rose hips added some floral aromas and tastes to top things off. At the end, this one was still just a little too tart and floral for my liking. (5 mins @ 212ºF, sugar)

I didn’t know quite what to expect from this tisane, and I have to admit it surprised me, in a good way. It smelled very “outdoorsy” upon opening. I think the standout aroma was the raspberries, or maybe the hibiscus. (I’m not sure what some of the ingredients present in my packet smell like individually.) It is a very pretty tisane, greens and reds with lots of apples.
I Steeped at 212* for 5 minutes in approximately 12 oz of water. It steeped into a really pretty reddish-purple color and smelled great. I sweetened with 2 tsp of tea sugar to help balance out the tartness. It was still pretty tart, but very enjoyable. It brought back memories of a special tea I had at a Christkindl market in Germany many years ago. Five stars for this one.
